LITTLE YOGIS

Foster your strength and self-expression through yoga poses, visual meditations, and breathing techniques. Through theme-based sessions with interactive games, our yogis will explore how to relate yoga practices to everyday life, allowing them to take their yoga prac tice off the mat, into their daily lives, their school classrooms, and their social interactions. Namaste!
BALLET

Ballet introduces students to the structure of a ballet class, ballet etiquette, and basic ballet terminology by practicing developmentally appropriate exercises that emphasize musical ity incorporating props and variations for the young attention span. Pink leather ballet shoes are required.
CHESS CLUB

Learn chess with Magnus Chess Academy, formerly called Silver Knights! We’ve taught 100,000 children to play including state and national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill and have FUN. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games. Lessions range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies. Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments. All chess supplies provided. All skill levels are welcome.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1, blast off to a galaxy far, far away to learn about Earth and the amazing solar system. Discover all things galactic such as comets, planets, shooting stars, rockets, and more. Learn about flight, the adventures of space travel, and participate in a rocket launch!
MARTIAL ARTS

Students will work with Master Quick to learn a variety of skills through drills, routines and mat chart. Skills include focus, balance, memory, coordination, discipline, control, stranger safety, sportsmanship and listening.

CARD SHARKS CLUB

Come and play some family friendly card games at the Card Sharks Club! During this club, we will practice math skills and strategic thinging, while also focusing on good sportsmanship. Through learning a variety of competitive and cooperative card games, we will develop important life skills, all while having fun.
WATERCOLOR ART CLUB

Here at Calvert, the “Lego Club” is a wonderful way for Seventh Age students to work to gether as architects and engineers! Students will be interacting and working on social skills as they complete buildings challenges, work together to build models and develop and reinforce their play and social skills. Some of the challenges will include building Lego mazes, working togehter to create a Lego bridge, forming Lego words and numbers, and free building based on color! It is a great time for old and new friends to come together to build and create!
STORYBOOK STEM

If you have an interest in picture books and STEM then this is the club for you! We will listen to a variety of picture books and work through the engineering and design process in order to create something that goes along with the book. We will be making ziplines, marshmallow towers, bridges, and much more!

Need a little mindful exercise in your life? Join us for a class full of fitness, fun, and mindfulness! We will play games, have spirited team challenges, and participate in activities to create a mindful state.
CHOIR CLUB

Choir Club will provide a fun environment for students to develop their singing, musician ship, dictation, and ability to blend and harmonize with others. Singing in a choir also helps students appreciate the value of teamwork and collaboration! No previous choir experience is required, and there will not be an audition. All materials will be provided.
