Purpose:

To work as part of a team to maintain a clean, welcoming and hygienic environment for those we support and others that use our services and facilities.

Key tasks: Main Responsibilities: •

Make sure that the public areas are kept clean and welcoming these include the main hall, cafe, meeting room and toilets in the main building, holiday let accommodation.

Make sure that guest rooms are kept clean, and are prepared for guests and cleaned following any stays.

Follow the daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules for the various areas and restock toiletries, soap and towels as required.

Follow and work to the Health and Safety polices and any procedures that relate to any substances hazardous to health that may be in cleaning materials that are in use.

Undertake such other tasks as required individually or with others to develop and maintain the high quality of service required to fulfil the vision of the community, including for example by actively participating in meetings and in relevant training.

To wash up and put away used cutlery, crockery and baking utensils ensuring they are properly clean and put away in their correct locations.

Restock the holiday accommodation, prepare laundry for cleaning, empty of waste bins, changing of bed linen, hoovering, polishing and ensure holiday accommodation is in order for rental



Person specification Experience: Desirable • Previous work experience of any kind (whether paid or unpaid) of at least 3 months • Previous customer service experience Special skills and knowledge: Desirable • Customer Service Key capabilities: • Presentable, dresses appropriately and with good personal hygiene • Polite, respectful and approachable: able to engage and establish rapport with customers • Comfortable with working with adults with learning disabilities • Physically in good health, able to stay on feet for long hours • Able to take and follow directions • Able to work cooperatively as part of a team in a pressured and busy environment • Motivated to deliver a good service to customers and follow through and complete tasks Other requirements: Essential • Can work weekends and public holidays on rota (if vacancy requires) • Clean criminal record – Enhanced Disclosure may be required as working with vulnerable adults
