Location:
Home based with occasional travel to communities in Yorkshire, Herts, West Midlands and Gloucestershire. We use Microsoft Teams daily but do meet up at our communities in the North regularly
Purpose:
To undertake recruitment duties including candidate engagement, interview set up, pre-employment screening and progressing of applicants through the recruitment process. Managing relationships with Hiring Managers across our nine communities
Salary:
£24,000 per year

Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:30

Do you have a strong work ethic and the desire to provide a truly exceptional service? Do you have a passion for recruitment and providing a great candidate experience? If you have great recruitment administration experience, an attention to detail, great people skills preferably with experience or an understanding of the end-to-end recruitment processes, we’d love to hear from you. We have an opening for a Recruitment Administrator in our team to be a central point for the recruitment process, once the adverts and candidate attraction strategies are live. You’ll work closely with the Recruitment Coordinator (responsible for advertising and attraction strategies) and another Administrator.
About us: Camphill Village Trust is an award-winning national charity supporting people with learning and other disabilities. We provide housing, care, support and day opportunities to people with learning and other difficulties. We support people to be safe, healthy, happy and to be active citizens living a life of opportunity. We have nine communities across Yorkshire / Teeside, Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire and the West Midlands. You will be responsible for the recruitment for five of these communities.
The type of things you will be responsible for include: 2
Managing the applications received for vacancies
Arranging interviews and confirming with candidates and Hiring Managers
Follow up with Hiring Managers to establish the outcome of interviews
Making offers of employment to successful candidates
Creating and providing contracts of employment
Collating all required information and documents to undertake pre-employment checks and DBS
Liaising with HR, payroll and other departments to ensure a positive onboarding experience
Keeping trackers and systems up to date, progressing candidates through each stage of the process
Managing a core number of vacancies across your communities
Create close relationships with the Hiring Managers to understand their needs, challenges and requirements
Join the regular team meetings to provide insight, updates and progress reports
Key to success in the role is that you are organised, used to systems and have a positive and open approach. We’re going through a transformation of processes and systems so you’ll be instrumental in developing the structure and service of the Recruitment Team
You’ll need:
To have good system experience including the Microsoft office suite. It would be great if you’ve used an “Applicant Tracking System” but we can teach this if not
Some experience of providing a recruitment service: you don’t need huge amounts of experience but it will be beneficial if you understand the end to end process and all the elements of it
A good personality, the ability to speak to differing people and be a great communicator: a friendly customer service approach always works well in recruitment
To be well organised, able to prioritise and manage multiple activities at once
To be open minded to change: we’re going through a transformational period, reviewing all our processes including our Applicant Tracking Systems so you’ll play a key part in helping us shape the recruitment service for the future

We’re quite a fun bunch but with a strong work ethic and an attitude of trying to provide the best service and experience to our Hiring Managers and Candidates that we can. You’ll recognise that recruiting for Hiring Managers and Candidates can sometimes be a daunting experience, so we try to simplify the process and provide support and reassurance at each stage of the process.

About us: Our nine communities provide supported living, learning and working opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, autism, various complex needs and challenging behaviour. We also provide varied work opportunities including farms and gardens, bakery, café, shop and craft workshops. This enables the people we support to live lives which are socially connected and full of meaning and purpose. The Recruitment Team is predominantly located in and around Stockton on Tees and Middlesbrough, so it would be useful if you’re in the area so we can meet up regularly and ensure you get the true one to one support and training We have communities across the country, the largest of which is Botton Village near Danby. It’s situated in over 1,000 acres of farmland, countryside and residences. We also have a site in Hemlington (Larchfield Community) and Malton (croft Community. Our other communities are in Stourbridge (West Midlands) Gloucestershire next to the Forest of Dean and Watford and St Albans in Hertfordshire.
