Location:
Home based with some travel to local sites in Teeside and North Yorkshire. We use Microsoft Teams daily but do meet up at our communities in the North regularly
Purpose:
To provide general support to the recruitment team with advertising, candidate management, candidate searching and pre-employment screening
Salary:
Up to £21,450 (Fixed Term Contract – 6 months)
Hours:
Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:30

Why are we looking for support? We have an opening for a Recruitment Assistant to support across a number of activities within the recruitment function. We’re going through a period of expansion and development and are looking for someone with a “can do” attitude who is happy to take on various elements of the recruitment process and support the existing team whilst we go through some major transitions. This post could lead to a permanent placement.

The type of things you could be involved with include: •
Supporting the Recruitment Team in sourcing candidates through job boards, LinkedIn or other avenues Processing pre-employment checks, chasing references, processing DBS submissions and preparing files once complete Download and process applications from various job boards, reviewing and recommending for progress Engaging with candidates to collate required employment information, chase documents and act as a support to ensure a smooth onboarding experience Speaking with potential candidates to gauge interest and explain the roles we are recruiting for and the benefits of working with Camphill Village Trust Assist with processing of Volunteer applications Help keep files and systems up to date Support the Recruitment Team with processing vacancies, engaging with Hiring Managers and participating in briefing meetings Join the regular team meetings to provide insight, updates and progress reports

This is a supportive role where you may be required to undertake administration elements for the Administrators, so you’ll need to be open to “getting stuck in” and to the differing needs of the team. You’ll report to the Resourcing Lead but have a dotted line to the Recruitment Coordinator and Administrators who you will support.
What sort of person are you? We’re quite a fun bunch but with a strong work ethic and an attitude of trying to provide the best service and experience to our Hiring Managers and Candidates that we can. You’ll recognise that recruiting to fill a position and being an applicant can be a daunting experience, so we try to simplify the process but provide support and reassurance at each stage of the process.
You’ll need: •
To have good system experience including the Microsoft office suite. It would be great if you’ve used an “Applicant Tracking System” but we can teach this if not

A good personality, the ability to speak to differing people and be a great communicator: a friendly customer service approach always works well in recruitment

Some experience of a recruitment process: this isn’t essential if you’re a great administrator, but you’ll need to be open to learning new processes

To be well organised, able to prioritise and manage multiple activities at once 3

About us: Our nine communities provide supported living, learning and working opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, autism, various complex needs and challenging behaviour. The Recruitment Team is predominantly located in and around Stockton on Tees and Middlesbrough, so it would be useful if you’re in the area so we can meet up regularly and ensure you get the true one to one support and training We have communities across the country, the largest of which is Botton Village near Danby. It’s situated in over 1,000 acres of farmland, countryside and residences. We also have a site in Hemlington (Larchfield Community) and Malton (croft Community. Our other communities are in Stourbridge (West Midlands) Gloucestershire next to the Forest of Dean and Watford and St Albans in Hertfordshire.
