Electronic monitoring 2022 Regular Session HF4065 Chapter 98, Article 1, Section 11 Health & Human Services omnibus policy bill Effective: August 1, 2022 Short description This change involved the deletion of three words: “Electronic monitoring" means the placement and use of an electronic monitoring device by a resident in the resident's room or private living unit in accordance with this section. Summary By deleting the three words, the placement of an electronic monitoring device is now permitted by either the resident or someone else (resident representative) as permitted by the statute. This was a clarifying change to support the original intent of the statute. Bill language Chapter 98, Article 1, Section 11: https://www.revisor.mn.gov/laws/2022/0/Session+Law/Chapter/98/
