Intermission

Intermission Whakatere te tawhātanga

Intermission has been a life changing experience. I joined Intermission thinking I will simply learn more about God and the Bible but I have also learned so much more!

I have learned how our society and worldviews are shaped and the powers and principalities behind it all. A highlight would probably be all the different contexts that we get placed in and then having to reflect on what we learned from our experiences.

Knowing what I know now I can’t not live my life differently after this year.”

Hananja Petzer Intermission student

Do you want to live a life that’s full on for Jesus? A life where you can apply your faith and be all God has called you to be? Intermission is a one year full-time discipleship programme packed with adventure as you learn more about God, the world, and your place in it.

You will be a part of a small cohort of students journeying alongside one another as you re‑evaluate direction in life, rethink world views, refuel for discipleship, and reorder your priorities in life for the world in which we live.

The programme provides a well‑rounded supportive environment for you to learn transferable skills that will set you up well for your next season of study, training, or work. You’ll learn to pray more deeply for the world around you, gain insight into ministry opportunities through community placements, and be challenged through local and national field trips.

You will also get an introduction to tertiary level tools of learning and develop skills in research, critical thinking, writing, and presentations, as well as engagement with academic scholars.

Intermission provides an excellent foundation for future academic study.
