BRIEF TITLE Leeds College of Art Pop-up Shop 2 The Brief Create identity and promotional material for the second Leeds College of Art Pop-up Shop Concept/Proposition A defining concept or word that communicates pop-up shop, craft, handmade, higher education, designers as a collective, enterprise, new.
Considerations How will the branding represent the business/shop? Should it promote the vendor’s skills/practices? Use of colour, what does it/can it say about them? How will it be continued through to web? How can it be adapted through to the interior? How can the range and marketing be extended to exploit formats and contexts? Considering a budget how can it be used to reflect my practice and the college’s values in a high concept or high production way? How will the identity relate to the previous?
Background The Leeds College of Art will open it’s doors for a second time to the public hosting an opportunity for the staff, fellows, students and new alumni of Leeds College of Art to offer their work for sale to the general public. The event aims to engender a culture of Enterprise within our College and provide an annual showcase for diverse output of this outstandingly creative community. And give the public an opportunity to buy work from emerging and established creative practitioners.
Mandatory Requirements Use of the Leeds College of Art, Creative Networks and Artsmix Logos on printed media. £190-£200 Budget.
Target Audience LCA Students, Art lovers, Craft lovers, Fashion lovers, 16 – 65, North of England based, Educated individuals.
Deliverables Range of promotional printed and digital material. Proposed visual material that exploits formats and contexts in relation to the concept and practical concerns.
Tone of Voice Intriguing, thought provoking, inspiring, contemporary.
