America’s Buddy System Introduction Hola! Hi! If you are reading this document, probably you are a new NORA. We´ve been in the same place before. You are probably asking yourself: What is the next step within the IFMSA? How do you work as a NORA? How is the development of our SC in the Americas? What can I do to contribute? Thinking about these questions we´ve decided to come up with this “Buddy System” where experienced NORAs will guide you in your first working months and assist you about our regional organization, chores, etc. You Have taken a huge step deciding to become a NORA, we are aware that the road is not easy at all and there will be moments where you will question if you are working correctly. Bear in mind that the work we do will be reflected in your NMO but by reading this you know your work was extremely good to the point of being elected. Do not stress or grieve with this , enjoy your time as NORA and the work of all your LC's , encourage your LORA's to always give a little more of what they can and never feel defeated . We hope this initiative will be of great help to you and that one day you can advise new Nora's by sharing all your knowledge about the work of our beloved SCORA as well . Si estás leyendo esto es porque seguramente eres un NORA nuevo. Nosotros estuvimos también en tu lugar. Sé que te estás preguntando ¿Que sigue en tu camino por la IFMSA? ¿Cómo es que trabajarás como NORA? ¿Cómo es que se desempeña nuestro comité permanente a nivel regional? ¿Y ahora qué es lo que debo hacer?...pensando en todas estas preguntas es que hemos decidido crear este “BuddySystem” en donde algunos NORAS con más experiencia te guiarán en tus primeros meses de trabajo y asesorarán sobre nuestro trabajo en la Región de Américas. Has dado un gran paso al decidir ser NORA. Sabemos que el camino no es fácil y que siempre te encontrarás con imprevistos que te lleven a pensar si estás trabajando correctamente, debes tener en cuenta que el trabajo que harás se verá reflejado en tu NMO pero con el simple hecho de estar leyendo esto y de ser un NORA electo es porque tu trabajo ha sido destacado de entre varias personas más. No te estreses ni acongojes con esto, disfruta tu periodo como NORA y el trabajo de todos tus CL´s, motiva a tus LORA´s para siempre dar un poco más de lo que pueden y nunca derrotarse. Esperamos que este manual sea de gran ayuda para ti y que algún día no muy lejano puedas asesorar a otros nuevos NORA´s compartiéndoles todos tus conocimientos sobre el trabajo de nuestro amado SCORA.
