The portfolio shows your skills, knowledge and enthusiasm all you need to enter the industry or get a internship Digital: Thinking like a client! What they would like to see? Examples of your work for sure but also information like what other specialism we have, what is the availability and experience, also clear contact details and a spot of personality - Use simple language when talking about the work, keep the comments short, simple, direct and informative, mentioning a project name, brief description and link to further work. -Keep it updated by making a blog -Show passion and knowledge. It means you will stand OUT more than you Print: Make it short so it don’t over whelm the viewers, invest time in taking good photographs and working them on Photoshop Show some evolution as a designer showing some nice(old) project. success
Using SurveyMonkey.com I did a survey with the Following questions: - What types of quality’s do you think a designer needs?
-Where do you think you can get knowledge about graphic design?
-If there is anything you would like to know about the UK design industry what would that be?
- What do you think its going to be the major difficulties when doing transition between college to industry?
I realise that the persons who answer the survey didn’t were my chosen target audience, they had more experience in the design field and if I want to show something with quality their are not a easy audience but I also realise that I can answer a few of the questions they ask in the third question.

Designer As: Visual Journalist The role I will take is designer as a visual journalist someone that share a diverse knowledge and expertise that selects a subject conduct a research, gather material and then create an appropriate final form using all the resources of design both words and images..

PROJECT 01: A-Z | CARLOS PALMA
Idea Generation Using the Concept challenge I developed this idea of create a piece of graphic design suitable for sighted people and blind people. So I started to think in the senses that blind people use and what I can do to engage with them and tell them what graphic design its about

* Because of stronger reasons I had to quit from this idea for this project but its something I would like to do. PROJECT 01: A-Z | CARLOS PALMA

- One subject - Based in real experiences -The best way the foot in the door
Designer 3
He was a Experience Designer it was the first time I had ever ear that and I was liking of what I was listening and I realise that this had strengthened my idea of use the laser cut resource and create some texture so I can produce some kind of experience because the first instinct of the user is to touch the work to see what how its done or what it is.

Analysis Experimentation text
Experimentation I was in the between choosing wood, acrylic and aluminium, wood because of the texture but realised that was not suitable for the subject because of the old style and I wanted something more fresh new, when looking to my mac I liked the aluminium they used its shiny and catches the eye but the difficult to get them to the size I wanted it was almost impossible and expensive. I did the mistake of thinking to soon in the final outcome and that’s the reason my firsts experimentations didn’t work some times its difficult to forget our initial idea super perfect and only. But in my case I developed my initial idea and create something structured.

Type text Chosen Helvetica for the main title because I think its a good type to print as bold and also because of the meaning Helvetica has for graphic design a mixture between love&hate to use or not to use, I cover the middle of the letters and added a line of an invisible shadow to create some style.
Fig 16 - Helvetica engraved
For the main text I choose to use Gotham HTF because I was saved at the last hour and someone provide me the font, I was using also Helvetica for the text and I was not enjoying it.

Colour
Blue calls to mind feelings of calmness or serenity the same feeling we need to have toward our competitors don’t worry about them. (Sometimes)
Red evokes strong emotions and is associated with love, warmth and comfort perfect for our portfolio.
Fig 18 - Painful Colouring Process
Green the colour of money, good luck, health and tranquilly that’s what I want for my future careerer.

Conclusion
I take this project has the first of more I concluded that I can get good information to make a second version of this project focusing more in the Design Industry requirements and actual status having my second year colleagues as the target audience. My idea in this moment is to create a data visualisation infographic but in order to do that I need to develop my research and data management skills and I think I can create something useful to help us to the future as designers.
