i there, I am Ana Carolina Silva Gelinskas, but you can call me Ana, Carol. Well, whatever you fancy the most. I’m originally from Brazil, São Paulo, but I’ve been living in Europe for the past four years. While in Brazil, I completed a Digital Design degree in university and had the opportunity to work in two Publishers, for, altogether, over two years. Because of that I improved my interpersonal skills along with my Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator knowledge. I’ve also been part of a short photography course, which gave me a bit more confidence working behind the camera. While living in London, back in 2014, I fell in love with the city and realised I didn’t want to go back! That’s when I found out that I could live here for as long as I wanted if I had an European citizenship, which, for my surprise, I could, as my great-grandfather was Italian. The following two years my life would be an endless search for documents, especially the Italian one, that was destroyed during the war! While searching, I had to live in four

different countries. The reason for it is that as a Brazilian once my Visa finished in one country, I had to move to another and get myself a new permit. Long story short, after nearly two years, I finally had myself recognized as an Italian! (Whoop whoop!) I have to say, that piece of paper is by far one of my proudest achievements. But that was just the start. Since then, I’ve been working as a childminder, what I do enjoy, once I love kids, but it’s not what I want to base my career on. I haven’t been able to get myself a job within the design industry, so that’s why I went back to College. Hopefully, doing Media Production in the UK, is what I was missing to put me back on track. I love traveling and discovering a bit more of the world, specially with my camera as company. I’m a very sociable person and having the opportunity to meet all sorts of people in the past years, with different backgrounds and experiences, shaped me into the person I am now.

ANA CAROLINA “If you can dream it, you can do it” I do have lot of dreams and want to be settled and happy with my career and personal life in a couple of years. I want to be doing something I am proud of and know that I’ve gotten where I am with my own hands! That’s why I am so proud of my mom. She taught me how important it is to fight for what you want and always do your best. She has one of the most beautiful souls I have ever seen and raised me on her own. She showed me that you can’t let life turn you bitter, even if it can be pretty tough sometimes. She is my inspiration to keep doing good, to keep trying hard and one day make her proud and give her the life she deserves.

Fernando I feel proud of myself, because I’ve been living in different country’s (Brazil ,Spain and UK) I’ve had difficult experiences in the beginning, because I didn’t speak the languages (Spanish and English) but after I was very satisfed because I’ve learnt the languages and I can finaly live by myself.

I’m a very friendly person, and I find myself welcoming, I work so hard in all the aspects (jobs, studying and general life) I like to be focused but at the same time I have many dreams.

I was born in south Brazil, I’m the son of Geni and Jaime and I have one brother, Fabio. I left my country when I was 21 years old, I moved to Spain. In Spain I’ve lived in different city’s like Barcelona ,Pamplona and Calafell, it was an amazing experience. I had a lot of friends there and also my aunt Eli was there and two cousins Estefi and Eric. Spain is a very nice country where I’ve learnt a lot. In the beginning it was difficult because I didn’t speak the language and it was the first time I would live alone. I had to learn how to cook, wash and be responsible for myself.

In the end I did everything ( I think so lol) After 10 years in Spain I was a bit bored, and I decided to move to England, and I came to London. It was a very difficult time in my life, I had personal problems and I had to learn how to adapt to the country. But when I have something in my mind I fight for it, then I started to study and work and change my mind. Today I feel very adapted in London and I have a nice life, and the most important decision, after long time I started to study again. “Life is a countinuous learning “ I’m not very religious but I believe in GOD.

M

y name is Anna, I am studying at CONEL for a second time. In 2008 I compleated Access to Psychology course and went to study psychology at University of East London. In my second year, I suspended my university course due to work I was and never returned to finish my degree. The choice I made definitely impacted on my lifelong career development as well as on my personal life. In 2011 along with my work and NVQ Level 3 qualifications as a Health Trainer I was recruited by Tottenham Hotspur Foundation to develop and manage a Cancer Awareness Campaign. I will never forget the feeling of stepping out into a public space and blending in with the crowed. I instantly realised that I absolutely love it. From that moment, community work and projects development became my absolute passion. Initially, all my projects were related to health and wellbeing as my education was just in that field. Subsequently, as a result of being in a development/ managerial role I had to start thinking about money and long term goals. That led me to setting up a charity with my colleagues and opening a charity shop in Tottenham Hale. The purpose of that was just to secure a stable income for our organisation. What I didn’t know was that this project will set me up on a journey which I can clearly define now. I research and work with managing the flow of everyday items in the community so they become reused rather than disposed. Manufacturing and disposing items of everyday use is a massive environmental subject. We don’t have it right at the moment and the planet’s wellbeing as well as our own became a problem slipping out of control - This time I didn’t only find passion, I found a subject which I can explore endlesly with aim to encourage as many people as possible to become conscious consumers in order to protect the environment which is the basis of our own wellbeing. I joined the college again in order to learn media production. Firstly, I am a self-confessed technophobe and fortunately the world around me doesn’t allow me to stay this way. I need media skills for my work. In media I am also looking for new tools to share my perception with others, of the world around me as well as

my inner journey. I have been working with people for many years and my people skills are well developed. I can easily say that my interests and hobbies contribute to that. I was always interested in “what bothers people”, physical health, mental health, spirituality, life in general and the surrounding world. This is why I can easily say that I may find something in common with majority of people. I am so interested in life that it would be difficult to provide a list of my hobbies and passions but I can mention a few from the top of the list which didn’t change over years: Yoga, people (I am absolutely passionate about people. People are an essential part of my existence.) and creativity (at some point in my life, I realised that creativity is the main driving force for me). This creative force I think is my main strength. It embraces many levels of interactions with people, the surrounding world and most of all, with myself. There were times when I was working so hard that it had a very negative impact on my health but all of that was passion driven. Over the years I managed to gain balance and understanding how to manage myself better. I brought my life to a point which embraces all possible aspects I need in order to feel healthy and fulfilled. This I perceive as the biggest achievement in my life. My main goal is to maintain and keep growing internal and external balance in the area of work, education, mental and physical wellbeing. I know that the stronger and better -informed I am the bigger difference I can make. I would like to work internationally and apply my entrepreneurial as well as other skills in order to help people work on their own wellbeing as well as wellbeing of their surroundings. My plan is to dedicate about two years focusing on filling in gaps in my own functioning and education before I will start traveling and materialising my plans. There are not many things that can faze me. I had a pretty difficult life from the start but as I heard Tony Robbins say: “some people suffer post-traumatic stress disorder and some post

“Driven by limitless possibilities of working with those who understand, together we can create something that is not possible on our own” Agenda Brown

Anna jozefowicz traumatic growth”, I decided to sign up for the second group and this is what inspires people who come into contact with me. What I figured out is that life is easy if you know the formula for it. So often people think that life is difficult, I try to show them that finding the formula is but once you’ve got it life itself is pure ecstacy. There are many inspiring people in my life but I want to tell you about someone local, Agenda Brown , who I have privilege to know and I wish many more people know him, his work and the impact he intends to make. Agenda’s background is graphic design but by choice he is more known as a photographer. His work can be seen on his website http://visualmarvelry.com/ as well as number of

exhibitions. We were introduced to each other by a mutual friend who works in a community development capacity. Instantly, it became apparent that our fundamental approach to life with a conscious mission to make a positive difference is the same. In my eyes, the hypnotic beauty pouring from Agenda’s images (which instantly grabs people’s attention) is just a tiny fraction of his whole persona. Hardworking, focused, dedicated, visionary are aspects of his everyday life which make the biggest impact on me. This is what makes himccccs a well rooted tree which provides multidimensional support to many and this is why he is such an inspiration to me.

I would like to become a football player.

am good at using computers when in a quiet place with no distractions and I have experience of computers in primary and secondary schools. The programs I have used one Microsoft, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro and more. My listening and speaking skills are very good especially my speaking I like commutating with people in a good way. My Hobbies are swimming, gym and football. In football, I have been playing for football since i was 9 years old and I am at semi-pro level at this moment. Hopefully I will become professional in the future and I am very talented, not just in football but in every sport I am good. One of my strengths is being friendly with people and I can work with people and they like working with me because I am friendly. My second strength is sociable because I like making new friends and speaking to different people. I am proud of playing for the district team and only limited players can be selected to the team and I was one so I am proud of this. Second thing that I am proud of is coming first in every race I did in sports day. In the future, I would like to become a football player. Now I am semi pro I would like to go professional hopefully and if that doesn’t to I would like to carry on with media, I would like to get a job in media industry. Firstly, my qualities are that I am good at socialising with different people and making friends. Secondly I like working independently and I don’t like when people disturb me. Thirdly I am good at designing things using InDesign and Photoshop and I am really good at using Premiere Pro. I am inspired by Arsenal’s football player, Mesut Ozil, because of his success in football. He has played for Real Madrid in his past life and he has won the league with them a couple of times. Mesut Ozil has won the World Cup as well with Germany. On the other hand, he has donated money to charity and has helped poor people, so I admire him.

My name is Armani Stephen. I grew with my elder brother and

my mum until the age of eleven. My mum invited my two older sisters to come over from the Caribbean to stay with us. Accustomed to being around primarily adults, I was always mature for my age. Growing up, I often had my own friends annoy me during my adolescent years. I have a lot of people who invest in me, I excelled and I’ll continue to do so. In secondary school, I began to tire of the pressure placed on me by my family and their high expectations. When I was growing up I would always spend hours in my room, drawing from my imagination and even though it wouldn’t come out the way I wanted it to I knew that I would improve. When I was in my last year of school I was lucky enough to be awarded three art certificates for my improving success in art which I received it with pride. I feel like my experience with art and design will open doors for the future within the animation and digital media feild. I plan to become better at computers to develop skills that relate to digital art. then I plan to go to university and discover differemt culters by travelling the world. The person i mostly admire in life would be Barack Obama. He was once an American politician who served as the 44th president of the United States. He was a leader of the whole country and he was the first ever black president. I aspire to be more like Obama like mainly because he is an open minded person. He has optimistic and positives views about circunstances, which, he then makes pragmatic.
