Challenges, Difficulties, and Learning Again

Escola Aqui is a project essentially designed to be experienced in person. Since the introduction of quarantine and the establishment of social distancing in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this project has practically stopped.

I tried different ways to continue with activations online, but it has been difficult to engage people in the same way. My feeling is that many possible participants and I are short of energy.
I’ve been holding some meetings, but nothing seems to come close to what we managed to achieve through March 2020. It appears that the substance from collaboration has changed. I don’t see it as something negative, but just as a new condition that I am still unpacking.
On a more positive note, this time has been adequate to work more in-depth on the project’s website. I also had more time to organize and handle all of the documentation from contributions from the face-to-face sessions that I had the opportunity to activate.
I now see this material as a time capsule. We were others; our context was different.
