CDS Summer Day Camps
The CDS Summer Camp Program offers both full and half-day themed camps for students entering 2020 grades 1 through 8. These camps provide opportunities for children to explore their imagination and develop skills during the summer weeks. These half -day camps are $150 per week and the full day camps are $250 per week. Purchase a before/aftercare package at $60 per week (or $12 per day) and drop your child off as early as 7:30 a.m. or pick up as late as 5:30 p.m. t

The online registration deadline for camp is the Wednesday prior to the camp start date! We are excited that our lunch program will be using EVOS, which can be pre-ordered online at cdspatriots.org/CDSCamps. All lunches are freshly made and delivered daily, priced at $8. June 15 - July 24 Space Station Vacation Week: June 15 - June 19 3, 2, 1‌Blast-off! Learn about the solar system through hands-on activities involving the planets, stars and moon. Explore the fascinating world of science and technology through hands-on experiments, games, arts & crafts and more. Mad Science Week: June 22 - June 26 In this introductory science camp, participants will explore the fun and wacky world of science by doing a variety of experiments, exploring different substances and building small structures. By the end of the week, your child will be the next Jimmy Neutron!

This will be one wild, wet and water filled week! Pack your swimsuit and sunscreen as we enjoy this week filled with extreme water games and activities! The Red Carpet Week: July 20 - July 24 This week will give you something to SING about! We will be wrapping up our CDS summer with everything from The Grammys to the Academy Awards! CDS Enrichment Camps CDS Enrichment Camps offer a variety of programs for your child to choose from! They are for students entering grades 1-12, depending on the program. Choose from art to athletics to science to technology!

Week 1: June 15 - June 19 CDS Football Camp: Mark Jones | Rising 6th - 8th (Middle School) 9:00am - 12:00pm | $150 Whether your athlete is just starting football or is an experienced player, this camp will provide an atmosphere for learning and becoming a better football player. The coaches at CDS will teach the athletes correct technique, teamwork, discipline and the importance of on field and off field decisions. Our experienced coaches will teach individual and team drills on both offense and defense. We will build your athlete’s confidence and help improve their football IQ. Yoga & Mindfulness Camp: Jennifer Brown | Rising K - 3rd 9:00am - 12:00pm | $150 Students in grades K-3rd will learn a dozen or so yoga poses each day through a story or other unique yoga class format. There is no religious component to this program. CDS Baseball Camp: Steve DeBoskey | Rising 1st - 8th 9:00am - 12:00pm | $150 Campers will learn offensive & defensive baseball skills and strategies. CDS baseball camp is the perfect program for both first time ball players and those who want to enhance their skills for a higher level of play. Every camper will leave Friday afternoon with an improved skill set and an enjoyment of the great game of baseball.

Young Patriot cheerleaders will learn a full cheerleading routine with jumps, stunts and props! We will perform our routine at the end of the week and at a Varsity football game in the fall. Speech & Debate Camp: Paul Jannereth | Rising 9th - 12th 12:30pm - 3:30pm | $175 Do you like to act/perform? Debate? Or both? Speech & Debate is for YOU! Speech and Debate camp is a fantastic opportunity for all current and incoming high school students interested in competing in Speech & Debate tournaments with their school. Speech events are individual or duo performances, and Debate events include Student Congress or one-on-one debate. Students will be able to try various events to learn where they would like to focus and begin to perfect their skill. Students who participate in Speech & Debate in high school also have the chance to join the National Speech & Debate Honor Society (PI KAPPA DELTA) by competing at local, state, and national tournaments throughout the school year.

Topics range from; age characteristics of children, behavior management, general infant and toddler care, play ideas, safety issues, and what to do in emergency situations. Our sitters-inthe-making will also learn how to find sitting jobs and how to work with parents to ensure success. Lastly, Friday will include a CPR class and your child will walk away with their CPR certification.

Lacrosse in the Tampa Bay area has grown exponentially in terms of participation from individuals and schools. This camp will help foster that growth so there remains a continuing influx of players through out all levels in the area. Explore Italy with CDS in Summer 2021! CDS will partner with EFI Educational Tours to offer this unique 2021 summer (late June/early July) learning experience. Summer SAT Prep Courses Week 5 (7/20/20 - 7/24/20)
Reading & Writing 7/20/20 - 7/24/20 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Grades: Rising 10th - 12th Instructor: Mary Schroeder Cost: $175 Join Mrs. Mary Schroeder, professional SAT tutor, for a one-week intensive crash course to prepare you for the reading and writing section of the SAT exam. She will go over grammatical rules, reading comprehension tips, and much more to have you ready for the August SAT and beyond. Required text: New SAT Grammar Workbook (third edition) by Khalid Khashoggi *A minimum of 10 students is needed for this camp to run. Math 7/20/20 - 7/24/20 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM Grades: Rising 10th - 12th Instructor: Evan Jones Cost: $175 The math portion of the course will be taught by Mr. Evan Jones, a professional SAT tutor. Please join us for an overview on core mathematical concepts that will be utilized on the SAT exam.
