Pe 27 iulie s-a dat startul Jocurilor Olimpice. Cel mai a[teptat eveniment sportiv al anului [i-a deschis por]ile `n capitala Marii Britanii. Dac\ sportivi se `ntrec `n aren\, turi[tii au posibilitatea s\-[i arate m\ iestria `n cazinourile luxoase care `mpânzesc Londra. Din 27 iulie pân\ pe 12 august, Londra fream\t\. Este capitala mondial\ a sportului, unde competitorii se `ntrec pentru o multrâvnit\ medalie olimpic\. Autorit\]ile locale au preg\tit totul ca la carte, nu doar pentru sportivi, ci [i pentru turi[ti. Astfel, dac\ cei 10.500 sportivi din 146 de ]\ri, inclusiv România, se `ntrec `n aren\, [i turi[tii pot face sport, [i nu de orice fel, ci ar\tându-[i m\iestria la poker, rulet\ baccarat, sloturi [i multe-alte jocuri de noroc. Cei peste 500.000 de turi[ti care se vor afla la Londra pe durata Jocurilor Olimpice sunt a[tepta]i cu bra]ele deschise de cele 25 de cazinouri din capitala britanic\. Pasiona]ii de gambling au la dispozi]ie cazinouri faimoase precum Aspinalls, Ritz Club [i The Empire, dar [i recent inauguratul Hippodrome, redeschis pe 13 iulie, care are trei etaje dedicate exclusiv gamblingului. Pe lâng\ spa]iile destinate exclusiv jocurilor de noroc, clien]ii au la dispozi]ie baruri, restaurante [i teatre `n care pot urm\ri spectacole diversificate, `n func]ie de gusturile fiec\ruia. Parlamentul britanic a dat publicit\ții Raportul asupra industriei de gambling, `mpreun\ cu recomandarea membrilor parlamentului pentru o flexibilitate și o libertate mai mare a amplasamentelor casinourilor și sloturilor. Astfel, Consiliile Locale vor permite locațiilor de pariuri s\ opereze mai mult de patru aparate de gambling pe mize mari, vor accepta pariuri de pân\ la 100 de lire sterline și vor da premii de pân\ la 500 de lire sterline. Casinourile vor putea avea pân\ la 20 de aparate, iar operatorii de jocuri de noroc vor plati taxe mai mici. Febra Olimpiadei de la Londra va atrage peste 50 de milioane de lire sterline `n pariuri, unul din opt britanici fiind interesat s\ parieze pe jocurile ce vor avea loc, arat\ un studiu realizat de compania de pariuri CORAL. Jum\tate din viitorii pariori ai Jocurilor Olimpice Londra 2012, adic\ 3 milioane de oameni, sunt noi `n gambling. A[adar, s\ `nceap\ jocurile [i s\ `nving\ cel mai bun!

On July 27, the Olympic Games were declared open. The most expected event of the year opened its gates in the capital of the Great Britain. Sportsmen will compete in the arena, while the tourists will have the opportunity to show their skills in the luxurious casinos throughout London. From July 27 to August 12, London will be under commotion. It is the world sport capital, where contestants are competing in a hope for the brightest olympic medal. The local authorities got everything ready by the book, not only for sportsmen but also for tourists. While the 10,500 are competing, so are the tourists – showing their poker skills, roulette, baccarat, slots and similar others. The 25 casinos in London will be welcoming a number of 500,000 tourists visiting their city for the Olympic Games. The gambling afficionados will have faimous casinos like Aspinalls, Ritz Club and The Empire at their disposal, as well as the recently inaugurated Hippodrome, reopened on July 13 (with three storeys exclusively for gambling). Every one of these casinos is expecting that a number of at least 2,000 players cross their threshold a day. Besides the spaces meant for gambling only, the guests will be able to take advantage of bars, restaurants and theatres, where they can watch various shows, depending on their taste. The British Parliament released to the media the Report on Gambling, along with the recommendation of the MPs for flexibility and more freedom in terms of the location of casinos and slots. Thus, the Local Councils will allow the betting stores to operate more than four gambling devices on big stakes, to accept betting of up to 100 GBP and give prizes of 500 GBP at most. The casinos will have up to 20 machines and the gaming operators will pay lower fees. The fever of Olympics will attract over 50 million GBP in betting, as one in eight British people will be interested to bet on the games going on – this is the result of a survey carried out by CORAL betting company. Half of the future bettors of the 2012 Olympic Games in London, i.e. 3 million people, are new to gambling. To be short, let’s have the games start and the best win!

➢ Care sunt sportivii sau sportivele pe care îi admiri cel mai mult? Admir multe persoane, dar din lumea sportului, din totdeauna am apreciat mentalitatea lui Tiger Woods pe terenul de golf. Îmi place expresia ochilor lui atunci când se concentrează pe luarea unei decizii, are trăsături puternice și crede în abilitățile lui de a reuși lovitura.

➢ Which sportsman or woman do you admire the most? I admire a lot of people, but in terms of sport I’ve always loved the mentality of Tiger Woods on a golf course. I always love his eyes when he’s setting himself and focusing on his decision, he has a really strong, focused face and believes that he can make the shot.

➢ Așadar, nu admiri atât de mult calitățile fizice, ci forța mentală și determinarea? Desigur, golful nu este un sport atât de solicitant din punct de vedere fizic precum tenisul. De aceea este tenisul minunat, deoarece combină ambele tipuri de abilități. Este un sport care necesită un psihic puternic și în același timp este foarte solicitant din puncte de vedere fizic. Însă, admir mai mult puterea mentală în sport decât cea fizică, pentru că performanța fizică este mai ușor de dobândit decât cea psihică.

➢ So it’s not so much the physical skill, it’s the mental strength you admire and determination? For sure, with golf it’s not a physically demanding sport like tennis. That’s what makes tennis great, you combine both things. It’s a very mental sport and at the same time can be dramatically physical. But I do admire the mentality of sport more than the physicality because physical performance is much easier to practice than mental performance.

Fotbal, tenis sau poker?

➢ You could have been a professional footballer but you chose tennis. Why? I was much better playing tennis than football! I love football but I love tennis too and I think I made the right choice. I do love team sports though and in tennis you don’t get much of a chance to play in a team, it’s only really when we are representing our country, and that’s something I miss.

Ești doar tu și nimeni nu te poate ajuta, trebuie să depășești situații dificile de unul singur și asta mi se pare grozav, pentru că reprezintă o mare provocare. De exemplu, în fotbal, dacă nu joci bine nu e așa de grav, pentru că ai coechipierii lângă tine pe teren, însă, la tenis, dacă joci slab ești eliminat. De aceea tenisul este un sport foarte solicitant din punct de vedere psihic și trebuie să dai tot ce ai mai bun în fiecare zi, atât fizic cât și mental. ➢ Așadar, ca și în poker, este mai importantă uneori forța mentală pentru a face față diferitelor situații, decât abilitățile propriu zise? Da, am demonstrat asta pe parcursul carierei mele - trebuie să știi să câștigi, dar și cum să pierzi. Mi-am păstrat calmul, indiferent dacă am câștigat sau am pierdut. În tenis avem numeroase turnee în fiecare săptămână, așa că nu e timp de sărbătorit victoriile importante și nici nu ne permitem

să avem moralul scăzut după înfrângeri, pentru că urmează o nouă competiție, pentru care trebuie să ne pregătim.

Rafa și pokerul ➢ Toată lumea știe că ești unul dintre cei mai buni jucători de tenis din lume, însă pokerul e ceva nou pentru tine. Fiind o persoană competitivă, îți dă emoții lumea pokerului? Deloc! Nu mă deranjează să fiu pe locul 200 sau cel mai slab jucător la nivel mondial - întotdeauna încerc să dau ce am mai bun, în tot ceea ce fac. Chiar dacă joc golf cu prietenii, sunt conștiincios și muncitor. La fel și cu pokerul, încerc să îmi îmbunătățesc jocul în fiecare zi. PokerStars mi-a acordat un antrenor personal și primesc sfaturi de la jucătorii acestui site din întreaga lume, așa că trebuie să progresez! ➢ Ce abilități mentale folosite în tenis poți aplica și în jocul de poker? Cu siguranță trebuie să fi pasionat și foarte concentrat, pentru că acesta nu este un sport ce ține de perseverență sau noroc. O abilitate comună tenisului și pokerului este să știi cum să reacționezi în orice

Tennis is a sport where we have a lot of tournaments every week, so you can’t celebrate a lot when you have big victories, and you cannot get too

down when you’re losing as in a few days you’ll be in the next tournament and you’ll have to be ready with that.

Rafa & Poker ➢ Everyone knows you’re one of the greatest tennis players in the world, but poker is something new for you. As such a competitive guy, does the world of poker make you nervous? No, not at all! I don’t mind being number 200 in the world, or being the worst poker player in the world – what I always do is try my best at everything I do. Even if I’m just playing golf with my friends I want to try my best and work really hard, and so with poker I’m looking to keep improving day by day. PokerStars has given me my own coach and I’m getting advice from their players around the world so I should progress! ➢ What mental skills does it take to win at tennis that you can bring to a game like poker? Well, you definitely have to be passionate and very, very focused because this isn’t a sport of perseverance or luck, it’s one of

Ei bine, în tenis, potrivit moda lității de punctare, nu cred că acumularea unui punct obținut cu ajutprul norocului poate fi decisivă în câștigarea meciului. Desigur, depinde de moment. Uneori, ar putea fi în avantajul tău, însă câștigarea sau pierderea unui meci depinde de foarte multe puncte. În niciun caz nu cred că norocul, sau un moment prielnic pot fi decisive la un meci de tenis.

Evident că am fost fericit - eram după o perioadă în care pierdusem câteva meciuri importante, cu toate că la Monte Carlo și Roma reușisem să schimb puțin dinamica. Însă, la final, competiția de la Paris a devenit foarte importantă pentru mine, pentru că m-am simțit pregătit pentru meci, chiar dacă anterior pierdusem în fața lui. Până la urmă deznodământul a fost în favoarea mea. A fost un moment cu o puternică încărcătură emoțională și am fost mulțumit. ➢ În fiecare an, când te intorci la Roland Garros, crezi că ai toate șansele să câștigi din nou turneul? Nicidecum. De fiecare dată când am câștigat turneul, nu m-am gândit în prealabil că aș avea șanse la titlul de campion. Consider că este o competiție dificilă și trebuie să trec prin fiecare etapă, pe rând. Trebuie să îți auto-evaluezi starea de spirit în fiecare zi, pe măsură ce avansezi în turneu îți dai seama dacă evoluezi după cum ți-ai dorit sau nu. Trebuie să gândești pozitiv și să încerci să te simți cât mai bine în fiecare zi.

Evoluția lui Rafa ➢ Poate un jucător de tenis să înceapă prin câștigarea unui tur-

Every year that I’ve won Roland-Garros, I’ve never stated feeling I have a chance of winning. I feel like it’s a difficult journey and I have to take it one step at a time. And then you have to try and see how you’re feeling on a day-to-day basis, as the tournament goes on you realise more how you’re feeling – whether you’re performing as you wanted or a bit worse. You try to find a positive attitude and feel the best you possibly can every day.

Turneul de tenis la Jocurile Olimpice este o competiție specială. Se joacă pe iarbă, iar câștigătorul se stabilește după cel mai bun scor obținut de orice jucător în 3 seturi... Sunt patriot, însă și îmi doresc să câștige David Ferrer sau orice alt jucător spaniol.

Obviously I was happy – I’d been losing some important matches for a while, although in Monte-Carlo and Rome I had managed to change the dynamic a little. But in the end Paris was very important for me because I felt prepared for it, for the match after losing against him previously, and luckily everything turned out well. It was a very emotional moment and I was pleased.

Rafa and the Olympics ➢ Why have you pulled out of the Olympic squad? It’s sadly down to my knee. It’s a problem I was suffering from at Wimbledon and I simply haven’t recovered fully enough to play. It’s such a huge shame because the Olympic Games only come around every 4 years but this is life and I hope to be back soon. ➢ Who is your favourite to win Olympic gold in London? Tennis at the Olympic Games is such a special competition. Also because it’s on grass and it’s the best of 3 sets everybody can win…However I’m really patriotic so I wish David Ferrer or any Spanish player wins the Olympic Gold.

➢ ~n acest caz, este clar că e o concurență cu casinourile. Ce spun casinourile despre turneele de poker? Nu știu dacă este chiar o concurență pentru că aceste casinourile se bazează pe jocurile „cash”, iar noi nu avem jocuri „cash” la turnee. Este o problemă pentru casinouri doar în săptămâna când este PokerFest la București pentru că atunci toți clienții, și de „cash” și de alte jocuri, sunt concentrați la Howard Johnson unde se desfășoară tot turneul. Și, în decembrie, Brașovul, care anul trecut a fost peste așteptările noastre și am fost foarte-foarte mulțumiți. Acolo este un partener local deosebit, patronul casinoului de la Brașov. Este un sufletist și nea ajutat chiar foarte mult. La două noaptea, anul trecut, căram mese eu cu el împreună. E un partener de nădejde și un om „pe cinste”. ➢ Acum am să vă pun o întrebare personală. Ce înseamnă pentru Sorin Constantinescu turneul PokerFest? ~nseamnă mult. Fiind de atâția ani în casinou m-am gândit foarte-foarte bine când am renunțat pentru că eram obosit, deja, după 17-18 ani de casinou, de noapte de noapte efectiv, de 16 ore pe zi, am zis: „nu mai am „stomac” să mai văd oameni pierzând milioane și nu mai pot să continui și să stau nopțile”. ➢ In this case, there is a competition with the casinos. What are they saying about these poker tournaments? I don’t know whether it is competition – they rely on the „cash” games, which we do not have at our tournaments. It would only be a problem for the casinos during the PokerFest week in Bucharest – all the customers, „cash” or the others, will focused on Howard Johnson. Their earnings will be lower – but, other than that, the casinos are not financially damaged or in the number of customers because of our tournaments.

Moldova was good too – see Piatra Neamț, in the previous series. In November, Bucharest – an already consecrated tournament; plenty of people, definitely a success. For December, we have Brașov - last year, it was more than we bargained for, very happy. The local partners there are special, mainly the owner of the casino in Brasov. He has a great heart and helped us a great deal. At 2 o’clock in the morning, we were carrying tables together. He is a reliable partner and a wonderful man.

➢ We just finished the first half of the year. What do you expect for the second year at PokerFest? I hope not to have another Deva. We have well selected locations. In September, meet us in Mamaia. I am sure it will be a success – it’s the end of August and beginning on September. I was in a casino for so many years – after 1718 of them, I was tired – night after night, 16-hour days of work, I said to myself: „cannot stand any longer to see people lose millions and can’t stay awake all nights.” I’ve got an age, you know! Mi-am zis că să fiu eu primul pe piață și să facem ceva profesionist. La început lumea a fost sceptică pentru că au zis: „Aaaa.. români sunt organizatori. Ahaaa ... o să iasă o prostie. O să-i favorizeze pe anumiți jucători. N-o să respecte regulile. Știm noi cum o să fie.” Dar, după s-au convins că suntem foarte stricți ca regulament. Cred că suntem în top 3, nu vreau să mă laud, dar cred că suntem în top 3 în Europa ca și organizare de turnee și n-o spun eu ci o spun jucătorii care joacă tot timpul la turnee internaționale. Mulți dintre cei care, chiar, au câștigat turnee pe afară, au spus că PokerFest este peste multe turnee organizate în Europa. Și, aici este satisfacția mea, că am reușit să mă mențin în zona aceasta de jocuri de noroc și în același timp să văd că am rezultate și este am făcut o afacere care crește de la zi la zi, nu neaparat financiar, dar ca și impact asupra jucătorilor. Ca și performanțe este o afacere care crește. ➢ Această afacere se poate franciza cumva? V-ați gândit la posibilitatea de a da în franciză acest sistem în țările din jur? Aș vrea să începem cu România. Este un proiect de lege care stă demult, în fază terminală, la Ministerul de Finanțe,proiect de lege prin care se vor legaliza Cluburile de Poker. Și în momentul în care se vor legaliza Cluburile de Poker suntem hotărâți să deschidem cel

We know how this is gonna be,” But now they see how strict we have been about the regulations. I think we are in top 3, no bragging about it, in the top 3 in Europe in terms of tournaments organization – and this is something that the players are saying, players who are always at international tournaments. Many of them, winners in the abroad tournaments, confirmed that PokerFest is well beyond many of the events in Europe. And this

➢ Here is a sensitive question – there is a rumor that the casino inside the Marriott Hotel will be closing and the owners suggested to open with you, at the same location, a luxury poker club. Any input on that? I can confirm it. After the success that PokerFest had in Bucharest last year, the owners of the Marriott Hotel casino asked me to start a partnership. I told them that I had such a relation with the Queen casino and was very pleased with it. When the poker clubs go legal, that will be a different story and we can go back to the negotiations table. Until then, my partner is the casino at Howard Johnson Hotel and we are doing great. Now, it is too early to talk about a cooperation for a poker club, as long as such institution is not legal in Romania.

One would be the change into a monthly magazine, another is the „Poker News”, a column written by the people of Holdem.ro, the first and the largest online poker community of players in Romania. Any thoughts about this new editorial? It is more than welcomed, since poker is in great demand right now. Every one is interested in poker news and the team at Holdem.ro are very professional – they have improved the site a lot recently. It is indeed a large community of poker players who access the site daily for the poker news and the cooperation is desirable for both partners. It is a „win-win” situation, where everyone can take an advantage from it. ➢ What does Sorin Constantinescu think about the opening of the sport poker clubs in the country? Are they nurseries of players for PokerFest? Any poker-related activity is a potential nursery for PokerFest. The more people start loving poker and playing it, the more players will register for the monthly tournaments. ➢ Is there any connections between PokerFest and the National Sport Poker Federation? We have no trading relations, as we operate based on a license issued by the Department of Finance – gambling license – while the Federation is more on the sport side of this game. So, there would be two contradicting institutions that would not work together well. ➢ What does Sorin Constantinescu think would help PokerFest tournament be better than now? As I said earlier, it is a must to bring foreigners in. This is my target for this summer. To travel abroad, anywhere I can and bring them here. Ei au făcut acel turneu cu un milion de euro garantat și sunt în acest domeniu de vreo zece ani. Au deschis și un site online cu care trebuie să colaborăm acum ca să facem sateliți și cu ei. CEO-ul de la Concord a fost la București zilele trecute, pe parcursul turneului PokerFest, și sper să putem să semnăm ceva în viitorul foarte apropiat. Documentul va prevedea că trebuie să ne trimitem jucători unul celuilalt. Adică noi să facem sateliți ca să calificăm jucători pentru evenimentele mejore ale lor, de acolo, și ei să ne aducă jucători prin sateliții organizați de ei, online și prin reclama pe care o să ne-a facă în incinta cluburilor lor de poker. ➢ Ce zic jucătorii noștri, de vârf, despre turneul PokerFest și, mai ales, ce zic că trebuie să joace mereu cu noii veniți în poker? Nou veniții, să zic așa, sunt bineveniți pentru că nou veniții, așa cum zic jucătorii, sunt începători, sunt pești și sunt foarte „flexibili” în a ceda ușor jetoanele. Ca să nu fiu rău, când sunt nou veniți este un filtru bun, așa cum zic jucătorii mari, și este o șansă bună pentru aceștia din urmă să câștige mai ușor. Totuși se întâmplă ca un nou venit să aibă noroc mare și să ajungă „în bani” sau la Masa Finală dar mai rar. ~n general jucătorii buni ajung să intre „în bani”.

➢ ~n calitate de Președinte și de promotor al turneului PokerFest puteți să vă hazardați într-o estimare în ceea ce privește numărul de participanți pentru anul 2013? Este foarte dificil. Criza este tot mai accentuată. Sunt fluctuații tot mai mari. Turneele, în general acestea mari, cu renume WSOP, EPT, EUREKA, etc... toate au scăzut cu 20-30% ca număr de jucători. Chiar acum, la ultimul turneu de la București, n-au fost nici un sfert din rezultatele care au fost la turneul trecut la mesele de „cash”. Adică, criza se simte puternic în buzunarele oamenilor. Chiar dacă ești pasionat de joc dar dacă nu dispui de anumite sume nu poți să-ți satisfaci dorința sau pofta de joc. Atunci lăsați-mă să fiu puțin scepticși să nu avansez niște cifre sau niște sume pentru că situația este foarte-foarte incertă, economic vorbind, la nivel de Europă. ➢ La final, puteți să ne spuneți ceva inedit întâmplat în această jumătate de an, sau ceva ce nu v-am întrebat? Au venit oameni la mine, nu vreau să sune ca o laudă, oameni care mi-au zis: „vă mulțumim că ați făcut PokerFest-ul. Mi-ați schimbat viața.” și chestii de genul acesta. Chiar a venit cineva, un jucător care vine la toate turneele noastre, un jucător mai în vârstă din zona Clujului și mi-a zis: „domne, eu am fost un gambler inrăit, chiar începusem să mă cert cu nevasta, să caut clinici de genul acesta ca să pot să mă vindec și PokerFest-ul mi-a salvat viața, în sensul că m-am lăsat de jocuri din acestea în care pierdeam sume uriașe de bani și acum mă socializez cu oamenii și ma simt foarte bine.” A fost o satisfacție foarte-foarte mare pentru mine să aud asta. ~n general oamenii care vin la PokerFest sunt oameni deosebiți, adică nu sunt oameni de proastă factură. Sunt oameni cu afaceri, oameni foarte sociabili și plăcuți și care se revăd cu mare plăcere de fiecare dată. ➢ Vă mulțumim și vă urăm mult succes în continuare. Și eu vă mulțumesc și vă urez succes.

I really hope to sign a contract in the near future. The document will stipulate that we will have to send players to each other. In other words, to have satellites to quality players for their major events and they will bring us players via their satellites – organized by them online or advertised in their poker clubs. ➢ What are our players saying about the PokerFest tournament, about playing against the newcomers all the time? The newcomers are welcome. They are beginners, fresh meat and „flexible” in giving their chips away. I do not want to sound mean, but newcomers are a good filter, as the big ones think, and the latter have a better chance at winning more easily. But, it could happen that a newcomer has good luck and „enters the money” or sits at the Final Table – more rarely, though. As a rule, the big players end in „in the money”. ➢ As a President and Promoter of the PokerFest tournament, can you give us a guess about the number of participants for the year 2013? It is very difficult. The crisis is growing, and so are the fluctuations. The big tournaments,

like WSOP, EPT, EUREKA, etc, all went down by 20-30% in the number of participants. Even now, at the last tournament in Bucharest, the number did not even reached a quarter in the results that showed at the „cash” tables during the previous event. Crisis has touched hard the people’s pocket. Even though you are crazy about the game, you cannot play without a certain amount of money. So, let me be a little skeptical and refrain myself from giving you numbers – there is a lot of economic instability in the entire Europe. ➢ For the final, can you tell us something original that happened this half of the year, or a question I have not asked you? I do not intend to brag about it, but people came to me and said, „Thank you for doing PokerFest. You have changed my life” and things like this. There was a player, who comes to all our tournaments, an older gentleman in the Cluj area, who said, „Sir, I used to be a badass player, was arguing with my wife, looking for clinics to go to and get treatment. PokerFest really saved my life, I quit all those games where I was losing a lot of money. Now I can talk to people and have fun.” For me, it was really nice to hear that. People who come to PokerFest are special people, respectful people. Business people, easy going and pleasant to see every time they come back. ➢ Thank you and good luck from now on! Same to you!

Benjamin Adegbuyi a devenit al treilea român calificat la Superkombat Final Elimination de pe 10 noiembrie după ce a câștigat piramida de patru de la Superkombat World Grand Prix Varna. Performanța sa este cu atât mai notabilă cu cât sportivul și-a `nceput cariera `n urmă cu doar un an.

Benjamin Adegbuyi became the third Romanian to qualify at the Superkombat Final Elimination on November 10, after winning the four-pyramid at Superkombat World Grand Prix Varna. His performance is so much sensational considering that he started on this road a year ago.

Sportivul cu origini nigeriene l-a depă[it surprinzător `n semifinale de croatul Mladen Brestovac, cel care `n trecut `i bătuse pe Sebastian Ciobanu, Mihăiță Golescu sau Coco Rus. După ce și-a trimis adversarul la podea `n runda a doua cu un croșeu, Adegbuyi s-a impus până la urmă la decizie unanimă, pentru ca `n finală să-l facă KO, `n prima repriză, pe favoritul local Kostadin Kostov.

Cătălin Moroșanu, Sandu Lungu, frații Stoica și Raul Cătinaș vor putea fi urmăriți pe viitor și la televiziunile din America după ce una dintre marile companii de televiziune din SUA a făcut o ofertă pentru evenimentele Superkombat, promovate la nivel mondial de românul Eduard Irimia. România se poate lăuda `n momentul de față cu singurul produs la nivel global. Galele Superkombat sunt transmise `n direct `n 75 de țări din Europa, Asia, Africa și Australia, iar `n curând și pe continentul nordamerican. „Pot spune că negocierile sunt foarte avansate. Ei ne-au căutat pe noi și ne-au făcut o ofertă concretă. Mă bucur că `n momentul de față un produs românesc așa cum este Superkombat a devenit atât de expus la nivel global `n ceea ce privește televiziunea. Suntem deja pe patru continente, iar America de Nord ar fi al cincilea. Cele șase gale organizate de noi sunt transmise `n direct `n peste 70 de țări. The Superkombat Galas are broadcast live in 75 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia and very soon in America. „All I can say is that negotiations have got quite far. They are the ones to look for us and made us a real offer. I am very happy that a Romanian product, i.e. Superkombat, is now being displayed globally in terms of television. Acest joc `și are rădăcinile `n secolul al XIX-lea. Precursorul acestui joc a fost aparatul de poker mecanic. Mașinăria a fost inventată de compania „Pitt and Sittman” din New York. A British kid „blew” GBP 7,000 on poker A 12-year old British teen maxed up his father’s credit card to play online poker for real money. The boy, named Declan Hind, used the credit card of his father, 52-year old Keith, to play his favorite sport, i.e. poker. The kid from Maghull, Merseyside, started playing poker with his schoolmates via applications downloaded on his cellular for free. But, when the opportunity arose, he wanted to see how it feels to play for real money. And that opportunity was just around the corner. The teen got a

hold of his father’s credit card, who had given it to him to buy a gift for his mother’s birthday. Declan, though, wanted to play real money poker, so he accessed a poker site. An unfortunate thing for him, he maxed up the card of his father, losing GBP7,000. Keith Declan, the father, realized what had happened when his credit card was blocked. He had to pay the money back, including the interest. According to GamCare, 2% of the teenagers in Great Britain, aged between 12 and 16, are addicted to gambling.

What are my goals?” wrote the American, who is willing to give up poker for his personal happiness. Phil urges the readers to take the decisions they think appropriate, without fearing that they might be wrong. „I have learnt this from poker, where I am trying to play my best but sometimes cards won’t support me or my decisions are off. There are so many things in life that cannot be foreseen, so that no one should care so much about the unpredictable consequences”, he wrote. Galfond declares that, along his career, he took a myriad of decisions that affected his personal life – and he does not want go that way again. In 2010, his winnings from the poker tournaments reached $996,000.
