Welcome to our Spring/Summer 2019 Season
You’ll see in this season a new programming strand of folk and roots music join our programme of comedy, contemporary and new work in our Second Space.
Cast is rapidly developing a reputation for bringing world-class arts and some of Britain’s most famous stars to Doncaster.
As ever, Cast is bursting at the seams with opportunities to take part. So whether it’s one of our Dementia Friendly activities, acting classes for adults or our fun family workshops – there’s so much to get involved in. Make sure you join our Youth Theatre in time to perform in the first Cast Youth Theatre production.
In June, we wish National treasure Sir Ian McKellen many happy returns as he tours to Cast for the first time with his 80th birthday one man show. Throughout the next year Cast will continue its partnership with the National Theatre as we look ahead to 2020. The National Theatre will partner with Cast for a ‘Public Acts’ production, working with community partners from the local area. Public Acts will see hundreds of local people of all ages join together with professional artists on a new National Theatre production to premiere in the town.
Alongside our entertainment favourites, we’re thrilled to present Bill Kenwright’s production The Lady Vanishes alongside our Main Space drama programme including Turn of the Screw and My Mother Said I Never Should.
There’s plenty to enjoy in 2019, but many shows are already sold out. Don’t forget to sign up to our email list to be the first in the know. But don’t forget, Members get 10 days priority booking on all must-see shows. We look forward to welcoming you at Cast soon. Deborah Rees, Director
