Enjoy! The restaurant Rodamos The restaurant Rodamos is located in the lush forest of Cholomontas, high on its ridge. Perched between the great firs of the mountain and its famous mushroom fields, it is a point of visual poetic inspiration and a culinary meeting point for those who seek authentic simplicity in taste and delicious, home-made, traditional dishes. The stone-built restaurant with the wonderful views of the forest is run by Paris and Tasoula Parliari, who welcome you today with a wonderful menu they have prepared - an ode to the mushrooms of Cholomontas!

THE FEAST OF MUSHROOMS

Mushroom pie with feta cheese from Arnea* (* The wooded Cholomontas mount is known for its rich diverse flora and for the abundance of its natural assets. Six thousand plant and herb species grow on its slopes, which also bear its famous firs, and mushrooms -that grow everywhere- without human care. They thrive there because this is just how nature ordained.)

Roast chicken with potatoes and mushrooms** (** Every year around the beginning of autumn after the first rain has fallen, the residents of the mountain organise a big celebration where, after the rich mushroom harvest, they invite us all to the mountain to offer us their famous mushroom dishes, local wine and raki and their warm hospitality, which is part of their lifestyle).

Yogurt with spoon sweets: mushroom and cranberries*** (*** The Cholomontas mount is protected by the European network Natura 2000. This means that everything that grows on the ridges is pure, organic and untouched by human activities. Cranberries are one of the 4,500 plant species its slopes and shadows accommodate. The village women (of Arnea, Taxiarchis) patiently collect and artfully make the unique sweetened fruit you are offered today, which brings out the flavour of the fruit and notes of the scents of the whole forest!).
