WORLD BOOK DAY EDITION! World Book Day takes place in the UK and Ireland on Thursday 4th March. This year, there is a digital token available, which you can access and print from Firefly. This token can be exchanged for any of the £1 books pictured, or used to get £1 off any book or audiobook costing £2.99 or more until 28th March. Supermarkets are taking these now, contact your local bookseller to see if they are able to accept them for postal orders.

WORLD BOOK DAY KAHOOT! Join the library, and your friends, at lunchtime on Thursday for a Kahoot quiz to celebrate World Book Day! We'll run a quiz via Zoom during each lunch period - details to join will be sent via Firefly. House points and a box of Heroes on offer... See you there!
AUTHOR PEN PAL! Our author pen-pal, Savita Kalhan, has sent us some new book recommendations and tips for writing. You can see them at this Firefly page. If you'd like to share what you've been reading with Savita, you can use this form to email her - Miss Skipper will forward on your messages for you.
BRAINTEASER Just for fun… Volumes I, II and III of a dictionary are stacked vertically side by side on a shelf, in that order and with spines visible in the normal way. The thickness of the pages in each volume is 6cm, and the thickness of the cover of each volume is 5mm. What is the horizontal distance from the first page of Volume I to the final page of Volume III? Answer in the next edition!
