Northern Ireland Book Award 2019

To register your reading group to take part, please complete the form on this page below and return along with the registration fee of ÂŁ10* by Friday 15th March to: Cath Skipper, SLANI Secretary Campbell College, Belmont Road, Belfast. Information about the Award The shortlist was drawn up following a list of nominations from those with school library responsibility that met the following criteria:  Published between 1st July 2017 and 30th June 2018  Fiction for the children’s or young adult market, with YA protagonists  A debut author (or an established author writing for this audience for the first time)  Written in English, or translated in to English for the first time within the time period stated above.

Northern Ireland Book Award Shadowing will run throughout April and May, and the winners of the Book Award will be decided by the reading groups taking part.

The finale event will be held in June.

Schools can take advantage of the Education Authority’s discount and place orders for each of the titles through them using the form below. The pack of 6 books should cost around £30, including servicing. Please return this form to the Education Authority by Friday 8th March in order to allow for books to be ordered and delivered for April. Please contact Janet Compston if you have any queries.
