Maria + Jason June 16, 2018 The Estate at Florentine Gardens ~ River Vale, New Jersey

High school sweethearts Maria and Jason dated their junior and senior year and even attended prom together. Friends forecasted they would one day get married. The two went separate ways in college, but remained friends until their relationship was rekindled when they attended a best friend’s wedding in June 2014. “We were stuck in traffic for five hours from New Jersey to Rhode Island on our way to their rehearsal dinner, where we sat next to each other and many people asked us if we were together. We weren’t, but we haven’t been apart since. Our rehearsal dinner took place four years later on that exact date,” Maria shared. It was a quiet Friday afternoon on December 16, 2018 at The Estate at Florentine Gardens. Maria had been waiting for the weekend weddings to start, when her sister and mom ran into her office telling her she had to go downstairs. “As I followed, I heard a beautiful voice singing Mariah Carey’s, ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ with the piano playing in the background. I didn’t understand what was going on,” Maria mentioned. But as she walked down the grand staircase lined with candles, she saw Jason standing in front of the fireplace. It was at that moment he got down on one knee and proposed, making it the happiest moment of Maria’s life.

Home Sweet Home Maria’s father has owned and operated The Estate at Florentine Gardens for over 30 years, so after growing up running through the gardens as a kid to eventually working and growing into the business, there was no question Maria would have her wedding at the facility she’s proud to call home. “I knew my team would go above and beyond to produce an amazing wedding day for Jay and me,” Maria shared. “The Florentine Gardens is a place where Maria has made so many couple’s perfect day come true, and she deserved a perfect day herself. I knew the Florentine was going to make that happen,” Jason added.

Pretty Posies Maria carried an all-white bouquet made up of her favorite flowers, peonies.

Garden Romance The Florentine Gardens are known for their immaculate grounds, but Maria and Jason wanted to enhance the beauty of the gardens for their ceremony. White orchid floral leis hung from the full trees wrapped in lights to create a romantic feel, while white rose petals lined the aisle, and a lush white floral “O” arch filled with roses, hydrangea, peonies, and orchids made for a show-stopping backdrop.

Favorite Wedding Day Memory The newlyweds agreed that seeing each other for the first time during their first look was their favorite memory from the wedding. “I will never forget Jay’s face when he saw me in my [Galia Lahav] wedding dress. It was something I imagined many times and it was an incredibly special moment between the two of us,” Maria reminisced.

On Cloud Nine As they were surrounded by friends and family, Maria and Jason shared their first dance to “In Case You Didn’t Know” by Brett Young, while dancing on a custom-wrapped dance floor with hand-drawn florals and monogram in the center.

Ashleigh and Jordan met in the summer of 2014 at the gym they both belonged to. Jordan, who was in charge of forming a volleyball team, asked Ashleigh to be a player, and a few months later, he got the courage to ask her on a date. The two love to play card and board games, including Bananagrams, a crossword-making puzzle game. Without her knowing, Jordan had the pieces that spelled out “marry me,” got down on one knee, and proposed on September 24, 2016. “It was the sweetest thing. Jordan also invited all of our close family and friends to our favorite restaurant to help us celebrate such an awesome day,” the bride reminisced.

Beautiful Ballroom The Sterling Ballroom was only the second location the couple visited, but once they sat down with Melissa, they felt comfortable. Having the day’s events all in one location was ideal, and they booked their date right on the spot.

Bridal Style Ashleigh paired her lace, fit and flare Mikaella Bridal gown with a handmade hair comb made out of crepe paper, Sam Edelman nude strappy heels, BHLDN earrings, a Kendra Scott bracelet (gifted from her groom), and a beautiful bouquet made of proteas, roses, peonies, and lilies.

Life of the Party Chris Marino of Limelight Entertainment had guests dancing the night away to a variety of music, but sharing their first dance to “ILYSB” by Lany was Ashleigh’s favorite memory from their wedding day. “Our first dance was wonderful and it was so amazing looking over at our families, who were just so genuinely happy for us both. It really made the reception feel like a dream come true,” Ashleigh shared.

After meeting back in 2009 at the JFK Airport and hitting it off, Maria and Mateusz both knew in their hearts they had found their partner for life. “Mateusz is so genuine and caring, and I can be myself around him,” Maria shared. After asking for Maria’s parents’ permission, Mateusz popped the question with a timeless solitaire ring. The two decided to tie the knot during a civil ceremony on August 12, 2014, but that didn’t stop them from planning the wedding of their dreams in the company of their nearest and dearest exactly four years later.

Additionally, Maria and Mateusz were impressed with the warm and welcoming staff. “From our very first appointment at The Manor, Rolf (our event coordinator) made our experience very personalized. He was professional, made sure to ask all the necessary questions, and offered all possible menu selections. Throughout the process, Rolf was very responsive, detailed, and made sure to always let us know when he would be out of the office in the event we had questions or concerns,” the couple raved.

Dress Decisions Maria’s Pronovias bridal gown wasn’t originally what she envisioned for her wedding day, but the silhouette hugged her figure and made her feel beautiful. The gown featured an illusion neckline in crystal tulle, lace, and gemstone appliqués with a draped skirt made of crepe and tulle and a discreet crepe bow at the waistline.

You’re Invited Guests were invited to the celebration with custom letterpress printed wedding invitations designed by Lace and Belle. The suite featured doublethick white card stock, a monogram belly band wrap, and wax seal for a classic and regal touch.

Caroline and Joseph met as sophomores during statistics class at Seton Hall University, but didn’t go out on their first date until a few years after graduation. Caroline knew early on that Joseph was the guy for her, and Joseph, too, immediately knew he and Caroline would be together forever. “The conversations were easy, it was enjoyable to spend time with her, and whenever we left each other, I found myself looking forward to the next time we would be together,” Joseph shared. The couple planned a trip to Chicago over Memorial Day weekend of 2017. They stopped at the Willis Tower and walked out onto the observation deck. After taking a few photos, Joseph got down on one knee and proposed with a halo-style engagement ring.

Classic Décor Displayed on white table linens were alternating high and low floral arrangements made of white hydrangea and pink roses. Small and large votive candles surrounded the centerpieces, while menu cards were tucked inside white napkins at each place setting.

Savory Favors The newlyweds thanked their guests for being a part of their wedding day with miniature tin cans of cheddar and caramel popcorn from Garrett Popcorn in Chicago.

Favorite Memory of the Day The couple agreed that seeing each other for the first time as Caroline walked down the aisle was their favorite memory from the wedding day.

Wise Advice When asked if they had any advice for couples planning their wedding, Caroline shared to work together as best as you can and make decisions together. “Don’t sweat the small stuff. It’s such a fun and exciting time in both your lives, and the day goes by so fast, so just be sure to take it all in and enjoy every moment.” Joseph added, “Communication and teamwork is so important. There is a lot to plan and it can seem overwhelming. If you talk about it and divide up some of the tasks it makes it much easier and less stressful. Leave some of the small details to your vendors. They do this for a living and have seen many more weddings than you have. Share your vision with them and let them run with it.”

Autumn on the Farm

Vintage charm meets whimsy romance in this wedding inspiration dreamed up by KSS Photography. It all started with a vintage Beetle named Sally, which sparked the idea for this autumn on the farm styled shoot. Kiamarie Stone was inspired by wedding details you donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t commonly see (like a vintage send-off car) and paired that idea with whimsical romance on the farm. The end result? Beautifully curated details upon details that we not only canâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t get enough of, but inspiring ideas that you can tailor for your upcoming wedding. If you love pretty pastels with an aesthetic that evokes the beauty of nature, this editorial brought to life by a very talented team of vendors will be right down your wedding aisle. Charming Farm: It goes without saying, choosing the right location is important for setting the tone for any event. The Inn at Fernbrook Farms created a picturesque ambiance across its 230 acres of beautifully manicured grounds and hidden gems to capture portraits.

Gorgeous Gowns: The elegant BHLDN and Hayley Paige bridal gowns were perfect to carry out a traditional style, while the YSA Makino gown turned out to be a showstopper silhouette with off-the-shoulder cap sleeves, intricate beading, and a detachable, tiered skirt in sherbet tones (see pg.74). Dressed to the Nines: The guys might have all worn black bow ties, but each sported a very different look. From a classic all-black suit to a contemporary white jacket with black trim, and even a checkered jacket for a modern twist, the menswear was everything but boring. Something Sweet: Do you hate the taste of fondant? Opt for a simple one- or twotiered naked wedding cake with vanilla frosting and add some fresh florals and a custom (trending) gold acrylic cake topper for a personalized look.

Amanda + Marc June 16, 2018 The Sterling Ballroom ~ Tinton Falls, New Jersey

Amanda and Marc might have attended the same high school, but since they never spoke to each other or hung out, they can thank Facebook for bringing them together. It was Marc’s first year in college—right before Amanda’s 18th birthday—when he reached out to her via social media. Amanda ignored him, but with some perseverance, Marc reached out again a few months later. They got to know each other through video chat and got together a month later. “I loved how well Marc got along with my family, how he could hold a conversation, and how respectful he was,” Amanda reminisced. Every year since they’ve been together, Amanda and Marc visit Rockefeller Center in NYC to see the Christmas tree and have someone take a picture of them. Kodak happened to be set up on December 6, 2015, so Marc decided to have professional photos taken of them. Amanda was picking their pose out while waiting in line, but little did she know, Marc had something else up his sleeve; a magical and thought out proposal with their families nearby watching. “I knew Amanda was the one after being together for five years and going through ups and downs with each other. No one picks each other up the way we do,” Marc shared.

Under One Roof When it came time to search for a wedding location, Amanda and Marc knew they wanted a facility that would make the day’s events convenient for guests. The Sterling Ballroom had it all, including an outdoor ceremony space, ballroom, and on-site hotel. Furthermore, the Sterling Ballroom staff not only made Amanda and Marc feel like family, but were always available to answer any questions and let them visit whenever they wanted.

Picture Perfect “I can’t even explain how much I loved working with Nicole Klym Photography. She made us feel at ease,” the couple raved. Additionally, Amanda loved Nicole’s style and her promptness to quickly respond. The couple and their wedding party took portraits at Deep Cut Gardens in Middletown—where their first look was held—and back at the Sterling Ballroom.

Dressed to Impress Amanda tried on five dresses at one bridal salon, but just wasn’t finding what she was looking for. It was during her appointment at Castle Couture where she found the gown of her dreams. “When I came out of the fitting room to show the girls, all their mouths dropped. Then, I turned around in the mirror and couldn’t stop looking at myself. I immediately knew this was going to be my gown,” Amanda mentioned. The bride said yes to a trumpet-style silhouette embellished with crystals and low back detailing from Allure Bridals. A cathedral-length veil with rhinestone edging and an Edward Berger headpiece completed her look.

Bride Tribe Amanda’s three bridesmaids donned full-length, one-shoulder dresses in blue chiffon.

Dapper Gents Marc sported an elegant ivory jacket with contrasting black satin shawl lapel, black pants, white shirt, satin cummerbund and black bow tie, while the groomsmen wore black tuxedos with white dress shirt, blue vest, bow tie, and pocket square.

Idyllic Escape Following the wedding, the newlyweds escaped to Riviera Maya, Mexico for their honeymoon in paradise. During their stay at El Dorado Casita, they relaxed by their private plunge pool and swam with the dolphins.

Kimberly and Thomas met through a mutual friend and were acquaintances for a little while, until she mentioned her love of the cult TV classic Arrested Development one St. Patrick’s night. Without missing a beat, Thomas whipped out the chicken dance from the show in the middle of a packed bar. They enjoyed a night full of what Kimberly said was “awesome conversation” and started dating shortly after. A few months later, the two spent a long weekend camping and whitewater rafting in the mountains of West Virginia. “I remember falling in love with him on that trip,” Kimberly reminisced. Three years later, Thomas planned a special getaway for their anniversary weekend with a surprise stop at the Morris Arboretum on the way to the hotel. “Kimmy loves the outdoors. She loves trees, flowers, and the vibrant colors of nature. I stumbled upon the Morris Arboretum randomly online one day. One Saturday in the summer, I went out by myself to see if it was as amazing in person as it was in pictures. I spent several hours wandering around the whole arboretum, and I knew this was where I was going to ask Kimmy to marry me,” Thomas shared. Once they arrived at the perfect spot, Thomas dropped to one knee and proposed. They celebrated that night with family and friends, then set off for a weekend of glamping at the Delaware Water Gap.

Shabby-Chic Soiree After almost a year of searching for the perfect wedding location, Kimberly and Thomas stumbled upon Everly at Railroad and instantly fell in love with the facility for its vintage, boho, shabby-chic style.

Behind the Lens From the wedding prep to the ceremony and throughout the reception, Jackie Marino of Limelight Entertainment was behind the lens capturing all the special moments on camera. Kimberly and Thomas were impressed with Jackie’s creative eye, her thoughtful and fun personality, and the way she made them feel as if they were old friends. “Jackie is so much more than just a wedding photographer. She helped us throughout the whole process, offering advice and so many nice, thoughtful surprises along the way,” Kimberly raved.

Whimsy Décor The couple minimally styled the outside ceremony space with succulent planters, floral sprays, vintage church-style pews, and mismatched chair rentals for a vintage, yet whimsical ceremony setting. The couple wed under the Everly’s beloved gum tree, officiated by Diane Pacione, the bride’s aunt.

Floral Affair Kimberly and Thomas opted for florals that were bright and colorful, with lots of greenery. The bride carried a lush bouquet of ranunculus, lysimachia, solidago, coxcomb, waxflower, billy balls, thistle, larkspur, and spiral and silver dollar eucalyptus, wrapped in a macramé belt that her mother wore in the ‘70s. The bridesmaids’ bouquets were smaller versions of the bride’s, and also doubled as centerpieces on the nine round tables during the reception. The remaining long, farmhouse-style tables were topped with greenery runners, votive candles, mismatched china, and stained wood table numbers.

Something New Since the couple got married near the Jersey Shore, they had the Fudgy Wudgy guys—who push the ice-cream carts on the beach and yell “ICE CREAM”—do their thing during dessert. Guests were treated to various favorites, such as Chipwiches, Choco Tacos, and other sweets served by their caterer.

To Have and To Hold The newlyweds agreed that reading their vows to each other was their favorite memory of the day. “Her vows were the most beautiful and thoughtful words I’ve ever heard,” Thomas shared.

After all, whom you invite to celebrate the most anticipated event you’ll ever plan is and should be a joint decision. “This is a great task for you because it does not involve any stylized choices, but rather, is a straightforward task of compiling and organization,” suggests Danielle Aspromatis, Owner of d’Luxe Events. “It is helpful to collect all addresses in Word or Excel to make sure the transition over to your stationer or calligrapher is seamless.” If your guest list seems to be getting out of hand, then set some guidelines and stick to them. Kristen and Brandon were only teenagers when they found each other on one of the first social media platforms, MySpace. Although the two were three thousand miles away, they always kept in touch throughout the years, until Brandon decided to take a leap of faith and fly out from Washington to New Jersey to finally meet Kristen. She picked him up from the Philadelphia Airport on January 14, 2014, and they spent a long weekend in Atlantic City. â&#x20AC;&#x153;He was unbelievably kind, caring, and respectful. Immediately, I knew he was the one that I needed to spend my life with,â&#x20AC;? Kristen reminisced. Brandon officially moved to New Jersey on April 5, 2014, and on that day, he knew he would be spending the rest of his life with Kristen. Exactly three years later, Kristen, Brandon, and their dog took a walk to the beach near their house. It was on that Wednesday afternoon that Brandon proposed with a round, halo-style engagement ring.

Behind the Inspiration Kristen and Brandon had always admired the beach, so they decided on a seaside soiree on the water. The two incorporated a vibrant color scheme of coral reef, guava, and turquoise.

Lovely in Lace Kristen donned a strapless Oleg Cassini gown with detailed corset-style top and dramatic ruffled skirt with chapel train. She paired her look with silver embellished platform wedges, a blue garter, a diamond necklace borrowed from her mother, and hoop diamond earrings, which were passed down from several generations.

The Big Reveal The rain held off just long enough for Kristen and Brandon to share their first look outside on the terrace, where Brandon revealed his wedding day look for the first time. He sported a midnight blue tuxedo with black lapel, black tuxedo pants, a black bow tie, white shirt with black buttons, a white pocket square, and patent leather shoes.

In The Spotlight Kristen revealed that thinking about being the center of attention during their first dance made her feel nervous. Once she began dancing with her husband to “I Don’t Mind” by Defeater, all her initial worries disappeared.

Sweet Treats In lieu of traditional favors, guests were treated to a candy buffet with an array of sweets, including chocolate Sixlets, gummy candy, salt water taffy, peach rings, and crystal rock sticks.

Jessica and Greg met through mutual friends on January 11, 2015 during a casual Sunday night football get-together. The two made wonderful first impressions, and it didn’t take long for them to hit it off. “Greg made every moment more special than the next,” Jessica shared. Two years to the day they met, Greg surprised Jessica with a two-day getaway at the Bungalow Hotel. Following a romantic dinner at Sirena Restaurant overlooking the water, the pair went back to their hotel suite, where scattered rose petals, romantic candlelight, chocolates, and champagne awaited them. “Jess is my other half. She understands me and pushes me to be the best person I can be,” Greg mentioned.

Southern Seaside Soiree The pair whisked their 100 guests away to the oldest hotel in Cape May for a wedding inspired by the Victorian era. The Chalfonte Hotel fit Jessica and Gregâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s vision perfectly with its rich history, romantic architecture, and Southern, seashore-style hospitality. Jessica particularly loved the front porch, the Magnolia ballroom, which made them truly feel as though they had stepped back in time, as well as how guests had the opportunity to enjoy everything Cape May has to offer on a beautiful summer day.
