country love Amanda loves participating in country line dancing and karaoke in her spare time, but little did she know she would be dancing right into love when a local bar started having a country night. “My friends and I made it a regular occasion to go every Thursday night, and I would always lock eyes with this really tall guy that went every week too,” Amanda shared. After a few weeks, Dan finally made the first move, and after chatting for a while, the pair went their separate ways. Every week thereafter, Amanda found herself looking forward to seeing Dan, and the following Thursday, they talked again, but this time, they spent the entire night together. Upon heading out for the night, Dan walked Amanda to her car, and when the song “Then” by Brad Paisley came on, Dan asked Amanda to dance right there in the parking lot. “It was so sweet and romantic, and I knew at that moment he was “the one.” Center Stage Surprise: In 2014 Amanda was crowned Miss Rodeo New Jersey and spent the year traveling the country to take part in some of the largest rodeos in the United States. At the end of her reign, Amanda was asked to sing the National Anthem and run sponsor flags at the annual First Frontier Circuit Finals Rodeo in Harrisburg, PA. While she was taking her final sponsor flag across the arena, she noticed the rodeo judge closed the exit gate, who then asked her to step down from her horse. Completely confused, Amanda turned to see Dan in the center of the arena with a microphone in hand. It was then Dan dropped down to one knee and proposed in front of thousands of people. “I wanted the proposal to be really special for Amanda, and since her passion is rodeo, I couldn’t think of a better place.
Rustic Romance: The pair share a love for all things outdoors, so it was fitting they went with a rustic and elegant theme. Shades of peach ombré and navy beautifully paired together, while jute and burlap made lovely accent colors. Setting the Scene: When Amanda and Dan began searching for the perfect facility to host their wedding, an outdoor setting was a must-have on their list. Upon arriving at Rock Island Lake Club (nestled in the Sparta Mountains), the couple was immediately able to picture themselves exchanging vows under the white birch arbor overlooking the lake. Additionally, they liked the idea of having the day’s events in one location, which made it convenient for guests, and the accommodating staff, who went above and beyond to make sure every detail was how they envisioned. “Rock Island Lake Club [fit] exactly the kind of wedding I had always dreamed of, and it truly fit who we are as a couple,” Amanda raved.

Photo Fun: Amanda and Dan loved working with KSS Photography, who flawlessly captured every moment on camera. Not only did Kiamarie and her assistant Steve make them feel comfortable in front of the camera but, through their fun-loving personalities, made the couple feel like they had known them for years. The couple agreed “Kiamarie takes pride in her work and truly enjoys what she does. It’s nice to see someone get just as excited for your wedding as you do.” Bouquet Breakdown: Amanda carried a statement bouquet featuring a colorful selection of garden roses, peonies, hypericum, berries, and lots of greenery all wrapped up in burlap and lace. Her grandmother’s favorite peach parrot pin was attached to the bouquet, which served as her something old. Sentimental Dreamer: The bride incorporated her love of romance novels by wrapping some of her favorite books in lace and placing them on each table. A table number was displayed in a small wood round on top of each stack of books. The Future: After honeymooning in the Bahamas, the newlyweds are looking forward to building a life together and starting a family.

the perfect setup A sneaky setup by Tina’s cousin, Vincenza, ended up as a lifelong match for Tina and Albert. Convinced she was going to a party in Seaside, New Jersey, Tina was surprised to find no one at the party location but Vincenza, Albert, and his brother; her cousin had set her up to meet Albert. Although Tina didn’t think Albert was her type, he proved her wrong after their first date at a local Applebee’s. Looking back on their first date, Tina said, “I had a wonderful time with Albert on our dinner date, and from that moment on, it was the beginning of our together.” On August 17, 2012, Albert surprised Tina with a date night to Seaside Heights, where he led her to Lucky Leo’s, an arcade the couple went to each Sunday. As Tina played “The Wizard of Oz” game at the arcade, Albert dropped down on one knee next to her with a custom ring from Venzio Jewelers in a ruby slipper, and Tina said yes. “The minute I laid my eyes on her, I knew there was something special about her,” Albert said. “And from that moment on, it was the beginning of the rest of my life.” Playing Favorites: Tina’s favorite number is fifteen, so it came as no surprise that she opted for a three-year engagement just so she could get married in 2015. The sequence of their wedding date (5-10-15) is also the same when it’s flipped backward. Love at First Sight: Tina was twelve years old when she first fell in love with The Estate at Florentine Gardens while attending a surprise 80th birthday party for Tom Daidone’s mother. “Everything from the grand piano in the foyer to the three crystal chandeliers in the ballroom, with the most amazing floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the manicured gardens, stood out to me,” Tina reminisced. “Our first appointment with Maria Daidone was great, and she’s amazing at what she does. I’m super grateful to her and the entire Florentine Gardens family for helping me and my husband have the wedding of our dreams made into a reality.”
Regal Romance: The couple’s color palette of dark purple, lavender, gold, and ivory fit the regal romance theme perfectly for their big fat Italian wedding. On Cloud Nine: Tina and Albert shared their first dance as husband and wife to “I Belong to You” by Eros Ramazzotti and Anastacia while they danced on the clouds. Capturing the Moment: From the wedding day preparations to the couple’s first look, throughout the ceremony, and reception, Milton Gil Photographers was on hand, capturing the moments in beautiful imagery. fairy tale wedding It was love at first sight for Maria and Francesco, who met at a mutual friend’s barbeque in 2006. “I was instantly attracted to Francesco,” reminisced Maria. The pair hit it off and dated for eight years before taking their relationship to the next level. Maria and Francesco were on their way home from a Yankee game when Francesco wanted to stop and take a walk on the promenade. When they couldn’t find parking, Maria suggested they go to the Chocolate Room in Brooklyn to get a piece of their homemade chocolate cake. “After our dessert I was in a rush to leave because I had work early the next morning. Although we asked for the check, it took our waitress a little longer to bring it over. Restless and anxious to drive back to Staten Island, I was ready to get out of there,” Maria shared. Upon her rushing out, the waiter chased after her and insisted that she had left something in the shop and needed to return. As she re-entered the shop, Maria was greeted by staff holding a plate of strawberries with the phrase “Will you marry me?” written in chocolate. Completely shocked, she turned to find Francesco on one knee with a ring in hand.

naturally rustic Jacqueline was a sophomore when she met Adam (a senior) while attending Pace University in fall of 2007. The two were partnered up to play beer pong together, and it was a perfect match in not only this favorite college pastime, but in love as well. “As soon as I saw Jacqueline, I thought she was one of the most beautiful girls I’ve ever met. Then, after talking to her for a bit, she made me laugh and I knew I wanted to take her out,” Adam shared. Throughout their time dating, Jacqueline recognized that her happiness and safety were a priority for Adam. “It reminded me how my grandfather always treats my grandmother, and I knew that was the man I wanted to be with for the rest of my life,” Jacqueline recalled. Adam really wanted the proposal to be special, and March 28, 2014 turned out to be a day Jacqueline would never forget. Upon arriving home from having a girls’ night in the city with her sister, Jacqueline was surprised with dinner, a romantic fire, roses, and a marriage proposal.
First Look: The pair decided to see each other for the first time as Jacqueline walked down the aisle of Our Lady of Mercy, making this Adam’s favorite memory from their wedding day. Rustic Elegance: By the time Jacqueline became engaged, she was no stranger to wedding planning, as she’s been helping her mother, Brenda Ferrarini of Elegant Bridal Productions, at bridal shows for years. After visiting Perona Farms several times, Jacqueline initially fell in love with the facility for its rustic esthetic, the elegance of the ballroom, and most importantly, the rich history of family ties behind the facility. “Everything about Perona Farms reflected what was important to us, and it was a natural fit for our wedding,” the groom raved. Squad Goals: Jacqueline’s eight bridesmaids wore floor-length, plum-colored dresses designed by Mori Lee. Each bridesmaid chose their own style for a perfect mismatched look.

down by the sea Although Liz and Adam went to middle school and high school together, they didn’t bump into each other until years later, while they both were working at not-for-profits. Liz offered to help Adam work on a grant, and the two started to spend more and more time together. The rest was, as they say, history. Liz was working from home in their kitchen on a normal Thursday when Adam came home from work. Upon walking in the door, he proposed, completely surprising Liz and catching her off guard. To celebrate, Adam took Liz to dinner, and she was ecstatic to see both of their families there waiting. “Family is so important to us, and we were thrilled to be with everyone on this special occasion,” Liz reminisced. To make the event even more memorable, their engagement day also marks the last day before her parents’ wedding anniversary and the first day of theirs. “I hope our marriage is as happy and successful as theirs!” Liz added. Behind the Inspiration: Painting is one of the bride’s favorite hobbies, so the soft floral-patterned fabric on the Ted Baker bridesmaid dresses became the inspiration for the couple’s spring soiree.
Waterside Romance: Liz and Adam loved the Channel Club from their very first visit. Although the month of April isn’t warm enough for a full-on beach wedding, the couple was able to carry out the style since the facility is right on the water. Additionally, the full-length windows were an immediate attraction for Liz and Adam. “Since the Channel Club faces the west side, we loved the idea of having a beautiful sunset over the water. It was also only one mile away from the church, so that made it easy for our guests to get from one place to the next,” Liz added. Capturing Love and Happiness: After meeting with Susan Tibak of Something Blue Wedding Photography, Liz and Adam knew right away she was the photographer who they wanted to capture their wedding day. “She was thoughtful and meticulous about every detail and lots of fun to spend time with,” Liz mentioned. And, although it rained throughout the day’s events, you would never know it because Susan flawlessly made it look like the sun was shining in the photos captured.

Bouquet Breakdown: To complement the floral-patterned bridesmaid dresses, the bouquets were designed with seeded eucalyptus and cascading leaves, along with a few white and pink blooms for a soft and organic look. Something Old, Borrowed, and Blue: The bride’s mother surprised Liz with a blue heirloom earring that was her grandmother’s. The earring was incorporated as a pin and added into her bouquet, which served as just one of Liz’s something old, borrowed, and blue. Let Love Grow: Guests were sent home with lovely memories and a miniature floral canvas that was hand-painted by the bride. The back of the painting was stamped with the phrase, “Let love grow.” New Traditions: The couple incorporated Adam’s Jewish heritage by including the traditional breaking of the glass into the ceremony. Liz’s cousin had a special glass for Adam to smash at the end of their ceremony that they’ll now use to create a traditional mezuzah for their home. “It was fun to hear everyone shout mazel tov when I smashed the glass, and the priest did an excellent job making sure everyone felt welcome,” Adam shared.

worth the wait Elementary school sweethearts Michelle and David beat the odds when they fell in love at a very young age. Despite some bumps along the way, the two knew they were meant to be, and David even admitted he had planned to marry Michelle since the age of fifteen. On their thirteenth anniversary, after a year of planning, David made his longtime girlfriend’s childhood dream come true. As the two drove through their development, they saw brightly colored signs displayed on their front lawn. While Michelle first thought it was a prank, she quickly realized otherwise. Each sign had a short poem written on it, with the last revealing the surprise of a lifetime. As they got to the front door of their house, David got down on one knee and proposed, making Michelle the happiest woman ever. To make the engagement even more special, 65 of their closest family and friends were waiting inside to celebrate.
Anchored in Love: Michelle and David grew up by the beach, so they knew they wanted a beach-themed wedding. They incorporated an anchor motif into the design and used the color scheme of navy blue and gray. No Guest Traveling Required: When it came time to choose a facility to host their ceremony and reception, Michelle and David kept their guests in mind and looked no further than the Versailles Ballroom. “We didn’t want our guests to travel from church to venue to hotel, so we had our ceremony and reception in the hotel,” Michelle mentioned. Not only did the couple like the idea of having their day’s events in one location, but they also loved the modern style of the ballroom, large dance floor, and the accommodating staff who helped bring their vision to life. Practice (Almost) Makes Perfect: The couple practiced their first dance in their kitchen for about two weeks prior to their wedding. And although David forgot half of the moves the night of the wedding as they danced to “Mean to Me” by Brett Eldredge, they still made this special moment one to remember.

For some, that dream may be a longing to find a special someone to spend the rest of your life with or simply to find compassion in a friend. Bride Pierangely Wever, an Aruban local, was lucky to discover both, all while battling the hardest fight she’ll ever face–breast cancer. Aruba doesn’t have aggressive treatment for cancer, so when Wever flew to Colombia to get the help she needed, she not only received treatment, but also ended up meeting her future husband. The pair planned to marry, but with limited funds they couldn’t have the wedding they always dreamed about. As fate would have it, Kiamarie Stone of KSS Photography—who was traveling with her family to celebrate her mother’s life, who was battling stage four pancreatic cancer—was lucky enough to meet Wever. Upon hearing her story, Kiamarie put a plan into motion and was able to give this Aruban local the gift and opportunity of being a bride. After receiving permission to borrow a stunning Maggie Sottero gown from Forever Yours Bridal in Aruba, Kiamarie invited Wever to the Divi Aruba Phoenix where she, her assistant, and daughters did her makeup, complete with false eyelashes. To make Wever feel even more beautiful, they dressed her with a flower crown for a perfect beach bohemian look, and she carried a beautiful silk bouquet from Afloral.com that Kiamarie had on hand. As they walked the resort, guests cheered, whistled, and congratulated Wever, making this experience truly special. “Towards the end of the shoot, she even let me photograph her without her wig,” Kiamarie shared. “There wasn’t a dry eye on the beach. I used to think you had to be a supermodel to be beautiful. As I get older, I realize beauty is in strength, humility, and courage.”

MICHAEL COSENTINO New Jersey born and raised, designer Michael Cosentino is ready to take the bridal world by storm and will sure to be turning heads with his stunning bridal gown collection. The 29-year-old designer is a true artist at heart who has taken his love for all things style straight down the wedding aisle. Lucky for you, we had a chance to chat with the designer to talk all about his line of gowns, which pay homage to the strong women in his life. While the company only opened its doors in November 2015, Cosentino has big plans, including new, modern lines and a flagship storefront. Cosentino, who started designing as a hobby, is excited for his new designs, and he is eager to get his name out into the market, as his favorite part of designing wedding dresses is being part of such a big and sentimental moment in a person’s life. 1. How did you get started in the industry? I started making and designing clothes as a hobby a few years ago. I’ve always been a hands-on, creative person. I have a background in fine art, and I’ve always been fascinated by fashion, so I bought a few fashion draping textbooks and dove right in. I started out making dresses for my girlfriend at the time (now my wife), and it spread to some friends and started growing from there. 2. Who is the Michael Cosentino bride? The Cosentino bride is fun, modern, chic, and a little sassy. She’s a strong woman who knows what she wants but loves options. Our debut collection features sleek, simple dresses that are beautiful on their own but also serve as the perfect canvas to layer colorful lace tops or fluid skirts over for a personalized look that fits each of our brides’ unique styles.

DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT 3. What is the inspiration for your wedding gown collection(s)? I am inspired by bold and dynamic personalities. Each of the designs in my collection is named after a person in my life who has left a strong impression because of their vibrant, multi faceted personality, hence the “be vibrant” message which carries through the core of the brand. My designs pay homage to these women and celebrate their unique outlook on life and personal style. 4. What got you involved in wedding dress designing? For my wife’s bridal shower (fiancée at the time), as a part of the surprise, I made her a simple white dress with a separate navy lace top (something blue), and it was a hit at the shower. My fiancée ended up wearing the pieces again and again but separately–in fact, she still wears them to this day and always gets compliments. Many women buy a different dress for each bridal event and end up never wearing them again because they look too bridal. We realized there was a real opportunity for giving your bridal pieces a new life simply by styling them differently–bridal separates that could be mixed and matched in different ways and integrated into a bride’s wardrobe after the wedding. 5. What was the process of developing your line? I love the idea of a colorful bride, so it was natural to add multiple color options for the lace tops when designing the collection. I source all of the fabrics from Manhattan and make all of the pieces by hand in my studio.

6. Do you only offer custom wedding gowns or do you plan on launching collections? I have a spring 2016 line and a fall 2016 line in the works which are fresh, modern, and easy to wear–each design is made to order. I also offer custom design services where I consult with the bride to discuss her vision, create design sketches, select fabrics, and ultimately construct her custom wedding gown. 7. In addition to wedding gowns, do you design any other coordinating wedding fashion pieces, such as veils, headpieces, bridal belts, or accessories? We do make belts and custom veils. One veil that we worked on was made from silk organza, and a calligrapher friend of mine did her amazing hand-lettering all over it. The finished product was stunning. We will eventually add accessories to our line to complement our dresses. 8. If you were able to design a wedding gown for any woman from the past or present, who would it be and why? What would this design look like? I am a huge Audrey Hepburn fan–particularly obsessed with her Givenchy look from Sabrina that was a strapless column dress with a huge embroidered overskirt. I would love to play on that silhouette but with modern materials–layering lace and hand-painted silk for a delicate and timeless look because it fits with the Cosentino brand of high quality and unexpected details. 9. Can you offer any piece of advice for a bride who is shopping for her dream gown? Pinterest and magazines are great for gathering ideas and inspiration, but be open to trying on different styles–sometimes a dress looks completely different on rather than on a hanger.

Before their drive west, they took a quick drive down to Spring Lake beach, where Joe gifted Nicole with another graduation gift. fall romance Though Jacqueline and Frank were mere acquaintances, Frank (who was Jacqueline’s brother’s friend) made quite the first impression. “His sense of humor and his eyes [immediately] stood out to me,” Jacqueline shared. “On Tuesdays my brother would bartend and I would waitress at a tavern called Duffy’s in Staten Island.” As time went on, Frank started spending more time there, the pair secretly began dating, and it took only a few months of dating for Jacqueline to realize Frank was “the one.” On October 17, 2014, while Jacqueline was waitressing at Duffy’s, the location where their love story began, Frank proposed amongst their family and friends.
Fall Opulence: Although it took the couple about four months to begin their search for a banquet facility, Jacqueline and Frank were happy they waited. From the very first moment they visited The Venetian, they were warmly greeted and catered to, and luckily, their flexibility in choosing a date allowed them to tie the knot within the year of their engagement. “The service can’t be beat and they were able to accommodate my family’s gluten-free needs and special requests,” the bride raved. Behind the Lens: “Philip and I were teaching at the same school before he left to pursue his career in photography. I watched his business blossom, recognized his unique photos, and knew he was the person to call when it came time to book my wedding photographer,” Jacqueline shared. Throughout the entire day, Philip and his assistant were behind the lens making the couple feel comfortable in front of the camera, while capturing their day with unique details.

You’re Invited: Guests were invited to the wedding with silver foil printed invitations wrapped in titanium gray laser-cut gatefold bases. A matching belly band and silver wax seal featuring a custom monogram held the invitation together. Beauty Note: Jacqueline’s hair, styled by About You Salon, was parted down the side and worn down with cascading curls. A jeweled hair clip was fastened behind her right ear for a classic and vintage look. Anjali Artistry flawlessly captured the pin up style the bride was going for. Her eye makeup was applied in warm golden tones, while Jacqueline opted for vibrant red lips. Last Dance: After spending many summers together down the shore, it was only fitting that the couple selected, “Summer Wind” by Frank Sinatra as their last dance of the evening. Looking Forward: The newlyweds are excited to start a family, and are expecting their first child in early September.

coastal connection Eric contacted Erika through a number of multiple dating websites, and although she played hard to get at first, Eric’s persistence eventually paid off. Their first date quickly turned into a second date, where they went out for a hibachi dinner. “We bonded over our mutual love of all things Disney, saw that Saving Mr. Banks was playing, so a dinner date became dinner and a movie,” Erika reminisced. After dating for only eight months, Eric knew Erika was the one and began planning their happily ever after. The pair, who was on vacation in Walt Disney World, had just finished a behind-the-scenes tour when Erika became anxious to get on some rides since they had Fast Pass reservations. “Eric slowed us down by Cinderella’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom, saying we needed to take some pictures. It was then Eric got down on one knee and delivered a beautiful proposal in front of a crowd of cheering Disney guests and cast members,” Erika shared. To make the proposal even sweeter, Erika’s brother (and his boyfriend) captured the entire proposal in pictures and on video.
Sophisticated Setting: Erika and Eric were driving home after looking at two other banquet facilities when they drove past The Mill at Spring Lake Heights and decided to stop in. They loved the ballroom with spectacular lake views, as well as location and accommodating staff. Down the Aisle: The pair opted to stick with tradition and had their first look as Erika walked down the aisle during their ceremony. Picture Perfect: Erika and Eric loved KSS Photography from their very first meeting. “Kiamarie Stone made us feel like friends instead of clients. She was also very professional and helpful in choosing the perfect package for us. I don’t think we could have chosen a better wedding photographer,” the couple raved. Simple Centerpieces: Displayed on ivory table linens with champagne table runners were tall floral arrangements of fuchsia orchids and white hydrangeas. Blue napkins, votives and gold chiavari chairs completed the tablescape design.

Coastal Details: Rather than assigning table numbers, Erika and Eric named each table after a coastal town to tie in their nautical theme. Each card was written on either a sailboat or lighthouse model. Epic Escape: Following their reception, the newlyweds escaped to New Zealand for thirteen days. During their honeymoon (which was made possible through their Honeyfund Registry), the pair visited the location where Lord of the Rings was filmed, took a helicopter ride, and hiked Franz Josef Glacier, among many other adventurous excursions.

reconnected at last Cooties didn’t stop Stephanie from falling for Dustin in the third grade. When Stephanie first told him she liked him, all he did was run away, and then he and his family ended up moving away. In their senior year of high school though, a mutual friend reconnected them, and from there, they were inseparable. On April 13, 2013, the couple’s 7.5-year anniversary, Dustin planned out a day to explore Central Park, where he would guide Stephanie around. To end the day, the two went out on a rowboat, and on the water, just the two of them, Dustin proposed. Ten minutes after the question was asked, Stephanie started crying tears of happiness. “I couldn’t believe that this was actually happening,” she said. “My third-grade crush was going to be my future husband.” Setting the Scene: Upon visiting the Westmount Country Club for the first time, Stephanie and Dustin immediately knew they’d found what they were looking for in a facility to host their wedding. Not only were they impressed by the overall décor, including the large cocktail hour room, tall windows with expansive views, and grand ballroom with modern chandeliers, but also the ability to have their ceremony on-site, which made it more convenient for guests. Additionally, they loved working with Bobby, who accommodated all of their requests and ensured they were happy with each and every decision that was made.
First Look: The couple opted for a first look before their ceremony, which allowed them to have more time for photos and spend more time with guests during the reception. Not only did it put them at ease knowing their bridal party pictures were taken care of, but they also had a moment to themselves, making this moment a favorite for the groom. Lovely in Lace: Stephanie had tried on about ten different dresses when she narrowed it down to her top three during her first appointment at Hearts for You. Although she didn’t make a decision that day, Stephanie couldn’t stop thinking about one particular gown designed by Kitty Chen, and that’s when she knew she would say “I do” in this lace gown with sweetheart neckline. Dapper Guys: Dustin sported a light gray suit with a white shirt, gray vest, and tie, while his groomsmen wore the same attire, but with gray bow ties.

Bridal Beauty: Styled by Michelle Avetria, Stephanie wore her hair in an elegant chignon off to the side with loose curls, while her makeup was applied in neutral tones with a light brown smoky eye. Letting Loose: During the reception, balloons, masks, and hats were distributed to guests who were on the dance floor for the La Hora Loca (Spanish for “The Crazy Hour”), which helped kick up the party vibe. Adventure Seekers: Following the wedding, Stephanie and Dustin traveled to Italy for their first vacation alone together. During their honeymoon, they visited Rome, Sorrento, and Pompeii and explored the Vatican, the coliseum, St. Peters, Mt. Vesuvius, and Capri.

Domenic, too, was immediately smitten by Andrea and even knew at that very moment, he would one day marry her. When it came time to plan the perfect proposal years later, Domenic knew he wanted to catch Andrea off guard. So, on Christmas morning in 2013, Andrea got the surprise of a lifetime when Domenic asked her to be his wife. “I was so in shock. I just sat down and started to cry (happy tears, of course),” Andrea mentioned. First Look: The couple wanted the opportunity to enjoy their reception and spend time with guests, so they decided to share a first look prior to the ceremony at the same location where they first met in seventh grade.
Waterside Wedding: When Andrea and Domenic first became engaged, they made a list of five banquet facilities they had never been to, along with a list of non-negotiable things they were looking for. Every facility they visited had pros and cons, but just weren’t right. The bride’s mother recommended Clarks Landing Yacht Club in Delran, and from the very first meeting, Elisabeth Nolan made Andrea and Domenic feel like a part of the Clark’s Landing Yacht Club family. During their tour of the manicured grounds, the couple fell in love with the beautiful gardens, waterside views, floor-to-ceiling windows, and overall ambiance. “We realized right away Clarks Landing Yacht Club was where we wanted to spend one of the biggest days of our lives,” Andrea shared. Family Roots: “Dena is an absolutely amazing writer who is passionate, eloquent, and takes pride in her work. We couldn’t think of anyone else in the entire world that could reiterate the love Dom and I have for each other in front of our loved ones,” Andrea shared on choosing her sister to officiate the ceremony and marry her and Domenic.

high school sweethearts It was love at first sight for high school sweethearts Sydney and Kyle, who locked eyes and became enamored with each other. Sydney, who was three years younger than Kyle, even thought to herself that this was going to be the man she would marry. Kyle, too, was immediately taken by Sydney’s beauty, and the two instantly connected. Their love continued to flourish over the years, and it didn’t take long for them to realize they had found “the one” they would spend the rest of their lives with. When Kyle decided it was time to propose, which only took about six months to plan, he knew there was no other way to propose than in the comfort of their home. “It was such an awesome and intimate proposal that I will remember for the rest of my life,” Sydney shared. To make the proposal even more special, Kyle set up a video camera to capture the engagement on film. Happy Hosts: Sydney and Kyle might have toured sixteen venues, but nothing compared to the experience and hospitality they received at the Crystal Ballroom. “The ballroom exceeded our expectations, and the package just couldn’t be beat.” Additionally, Sydney and Kyle liked the idea of having the ceremony on-site, as well as hotel accommodations all in one central location, which made attending their wedding convenient for traveling guests. Bouquet Breakdown: Roses and orchids made up the bride’s bouquet. Two of her grandmother’s pins were also included as a sentimental embellishment.
Something Borrowed: Sydney borrowed her friend’s fur shawl and another friend’s bracelet, which they both wore on their wedding day. Magnificent Maids: Sydney’s eight bridesmaids wore floor-length lace dresses designed by Mori Lee. Favorite Memory: The newlyweds agreed that seeing each other for the first time during their first look was their favorite memory of the day.

Ambient Atmosphere: Although the couple’s wish of wedding day snow didn’t come true, Off the Chart Entertainment brought the snow indoors so Sydney and Kyle could share their first dance under a romantic and elegant snowfall. Sweet Send-Off: In addition to the couple’s wedding cake, guests were served decadent desserts including their wedding cake, fresh cannolis, and cream puffs, along with a s’more love station, freshly made popcorn, soft pretzels, ice cream, and a hot chocolate bar. One Happy Island: After hearing many great things about Aruba from friends, Sydney and Kyle found that choosing to escape to this island for their honeymoon was an easy decision.

you + me = us While striving to get their math teaching certification at New Jersey City University, Dana and Enzo were rewarded with much more than a certificate at the end of the program; they both received a life partner as well. The two always arrived first to class, which presented the opportunity for them to get to know each other. With each conversation, their initial attraction grew, and they soon began to date. On July 18, 2015, Enzo decided to pop a question that would forever change their relationship. The two took a boat ride on the lake in Central Park, while The Little Mermaid’s “Kiss the Girl” played in the background―a detail that Disney fan Dana thought was a great touch to the day. Enzo then gave Dana a pouch that held a delicate chain with an envelope charm. The groom-to-be instructed Dana to open the envelope; inside, it read “Marry me.” Surprised, Dana looked to Enzo, who was holding a ring, waiting for her answer. “I had no idea he was going to propose,” Dana said. “He’s a romantic guy, so I just thought he was being his usual Enzo self. I was not expecting a ring at all. Enzo and I would always go out and have the best time, but one night we decided to stay at my house and hang out. We played cards and board games and just talked all night, and I remember thinking that I could do this forever and be completely content. He is my best friend and someone I can just have fun with doing anything.” While Enzo was nervous about the proposal, he was sure Dana was the one for him. “I always knew Dana was special and that I always wanted to be around her,” he said. “I enjoy every second of our time together. The moment I realized that she was the one is not all that romantic or glamorous. We were out and one of my friends wasn’t okay to drive home. So, when we went back to her apartment, long story short, a huge mess was made. Instead of getting angry, she calmly and graciously helped clean up and tend to him. She really showed me how good of a friend she could be and how caring she was; traits of a partner for life and someone that could raise my future children.”
The Date: When the couple became engaged, they knew they wanted a short engagement, and the weekend of February 5, 2016 ended up being their three-year dating anniversary. Wedding Dream Come True: Growing up, Dana lived very close to Nanina’s In The Park and always dreamed of getting married there. Upon visiting the facility for the first time, the couple was warmly greeted by Vicky, who took Dana and Enzo on a tour and went over each and every detail with them. From the stunning ballroom with chandelier to the lighting effects, manicured grounds, and the fact that Nanina’s only holds one event at a time, Dana and Enzo were able to easily imagine getting married there. In The Details: The couple incorporated their love of travel throughout some of their details. Guests signed a personalized globe for an alternative guest book and took home DIY coasters with scenery photos from four locations the couple traveled to.

Posy Party: Dana’s bridal bouquet was a soft French floral clutch of white hydrangea, roses, and stephanotis with rhinestone accents. The stems were wrapped in white double satin ribbon, rhinestones, and her grandfather’s blue and white handkerchief. Getting Social: Displayed on each tablescape was a double-sided frame that held a thank you to their guests, as well as an I-Spy game which asked guests to take various pictures and Instagram them using the hashtag #danzosaysido. Signature Drinks: Guests were treated to three signature drinks throughout the evening, including the couple’s favorite cocktail, “The Danzo” (Tito’s vodka and club soda). Travel Diaries: Following the wedding, the new Mr. and Mrs. traveled to New Orleans for a mini-moon and will be cruising the Mediterranean over the summer.

Despite Ashley not being initially interested in Salvatore when a mutual friend tried to set them up, Salvatore quickly made his way into Ashley’s heart. “She was beautiful and I was very excited to get to know her,” Salvatore reminisced. Ashley, too, saw something special in Salvatore, and after talking during that party in August of 2010, they became inseparable. From the time Ashley and Salvatore started dating, Salvatore knew he would one day marry her. Five years later, when Salvatore decided it was time to ask Ashley to be his wife, he knew he wanted to take her back to the locale where they shared their first date. Following an evening strolling the Point Pleasant beach and boardwalk, the two enjoyed some time on Salvatore’s family boat, where he dropped to one knee and proposed.
Behind the Inspiration: Boating and recreational fishing have always been favorite pastimes for both families, so it was only fitting that Ashley and Salvatore chose nautical-inspired details throughout their wedding. Nautical Notions: Classic white table linens with navy napkins beautifully enhanced the centerpieces provided by Clarks Landing Yacht Club. Nautical knots and anchors were also used throughout the tablescape design. Dress Decision: Although Ashley went to two bridal shops and tried on ten dresses, she immediately knew her gown search had come to an end when she stepped into her Allure Bridals gown. The satin ball gown featured a sweetheart strapless neckline and crystal beading on the bodice. Magic on the Dance Floor: With the help of Fred Astaire Dance Studio, the newlyweds danced to a choreographed number to “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” by Frankie Valli. All in the Family: Ashley and Salvatore honored all of their extended family by displaying wedding pictures throughout the library at the reception. Travel Diaries: Following the wedding, the newlyweds escaped to California and Hawaii for a honeymoon in paradise, where they stayed at the Fairmont in Maui and the Grand Hyatt in Kauai.

destination bermuda While Jennifer and Justin may disagree on how they met―Jennifer remembers meeting him after a close friend’s bridal shower, while Justin is certain he had tried to flirt with her before the event―there’s no doubt the two found a happily ever after with each other. From day one, Justin knew he had found the girl of his dreams, and to prove that, on the day he proposed, he created what Jennifer referred to as a “Princess Day” for her. Justin did not originally spend much time planning the proposal ahead of time, as he was more focused on finding the perfect ring for his future bride. To set the stage though, he surprised her with a trip to Bermuda. On the day of the proposal, he took her to the spa and brought her snorkeling. He capped off the night with a horse-drawn carriage ride to look at the lighthouses before returning to the hotel. There, the balcony of the couple’s room at the Fairmont Princess, which looked out at the ocean, was covered in roses and candles; it was there that Justin asked Jennifer to be his best friend forever. “I think it was from the very beginning [that he was the one],” said Jennifer. “He’s my best friend; we laugh and have so much fun together.”
Beachy Backdrop: When it came to the inspiration for their wedding, Jennifer and Justin didn’t have to look far. They used the natural scenery, full of vibrant colors, surrounding the resort as the focal point, while accenting with shades of white, silver, and gold. Wedding Weekend: With family located across the United States, the couple knew family and friends would have to travel regardless of where they hosted their wedding, so they decided to make their destination wedding a weekend getaway for all who attended. After Justin proposed to Jennifer at the Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda, there was no question the couple would return with 100 guests to continue their happily ever after at the pristine destination where this chapter all began. Full-Service Details: Jennifer and Justin didn’t think they would need to hire a wedding planner, but they quickly learned that planning with limited local vendors in another country was more difficult than they initially anticipated. The couple called upon Meredith and Ashley of GLDN Events, who not only took the pressure off planning, but assisted with the overall logistics and design aspects of their special day.

On the Menu: When it came time to choose their menu, the couple opted for live food stations for an interactive reception. Guests enjoyed a raw bar, slider bar, and even a live fish station, where family and friends were able to choose a piece of fish and have it seasoned and cooked to their liking. Something Old: “Justin’s mother very sweetly gave us the lace from his christening dress that she saved just for our wedding. We pinned it to the inside of my dress.” Mismatched Maids: Jennifer’s maid of honor wore a re-designed Adrianna Papell dress with intricate sequin detailing, while her four bridesmaids wore blush Jenny Yoo dresses in various styles. Gifts from the Heart: “I wanted to give my bridesmaids something that really represented our individual friendships. I had Coordinates Collection make them bracelets that had the date we met engraved on the inside, along with the coordinates of where we were when we met,” the bride shared. The Future: The newlyweds are excited to build their life together and look forward to starting a family.

Hooked on Love A scenic backdrop in NJ
The Sandy Hook Lighthouse is the oldest operating lighthouse in the United States and is a perfect spot for your engagement photos. Just ask Katie & Eric who had their e-session there with Heyn Photography. The lighthouse is on the grounds of Fort Hancock and is just one of the unbeatable tourist attractions at Sandy Hook. The peninsula also boasts a spectacular holly forest, excellent surf fishing, hiking, beaches, trails, salt marshes, more than 300 species of birds and other historical sites. The lighthouse is open to the public weekends April - Oct., noon - 4:30 pm., Nov. - mid Dec., noon - 4:30 pm, weekdays in July and Aug., 1 pm - 4:30 pm. Tours and talks are presented by the members of the New Jersey Lighthouse Society. Call the Visitorâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Center for more information. Free admission. (732) 872-5970.
