INDONESIA

• Sixty-two-year-old Dirja was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and doctors told him that he would have to take medicine for the rest of his life. After watching a powerful testimony about healing from CBN’s Solusi , he contacted CBN’s Prayer Center in hopes of experiencing the same. The prayer center has since provided support throughout his treatment process. Dirja has adopted a healthy diet, and he receives encouragement from a community of diabetes survivors. Dirja is very grateful to the prayer center for faithfully supporting him in prayer and giving him the strength to heal.

THAILAND

• In February 2023, our Thailand office began translating CBN News , so viewers can be informed of worldwide events from a Christian perspective.

KENYA

• CBN staff trained multiple Superbook Club facilitators on Superbook Academy curriculum. One group will be reaching schoolchildren in South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda with Superbook’s message of the love of Jesus.

Salvation Through Superbook

Ten-year-old Pharvin spent a lot of time alone because she struggled to get along with others, including her parents. “I did not think my parents loved me,” she said.

One day, a teacher from an afterschool program supported by CBN’s Orphan’s Promise invited Pharvin to attend.

“I felt really happy there. They taught me about God’s love.

Then we watched Superbook,” explained Pharvin. “Superbook taught me that I am a sinner, but God loves me. I asked Him to forgive my sins.”

She also prayed for her family and invited them to church. She said, “Because of Superbook, my parents and brothers all know Jesus just like I do. Thank you for giving us Superbook!”

Shortly before the war erupted in Ukraine, Natalia, a single Jewish mother, sadly said goodbye to her home in Mariupol and immigrated to Israel with her daughter, Neli.

They were warmly welcomed, and although they lived in a cramped apartment—on the limited income of a teacher’s assistant—this precious mother and daughter embraced the new language and culture and found support from a local CBN office close to where they lived in Israel.

Because of the love and generosity of partners like you, they received some essential household appliances, including a refrigerator. And Natalia appreciated the laptop given to Neli to help make it easier for her to learn Hebrew and do her schoolwork.

CBN PARTNERS ARE HELPING TO REBUILD LIVES ACROSS AMERICA

CBN PARTNERS JOIN TOGETHER TO RUSH AID AND REBUILD LIVES

In early spring, severe storms began rolling through the Southwest. Powerful tornadoes developed in a catastrophic event that battered many communities— flipping mobile homes, hurling objects, and collapsing roofs, as shocked residents struggled to process the magnitude of destruction.

Thanks to faithful partners, CBN’s Operation Blessing was able to immediately send relief to those reeling from the disaster. This included water, emergency meal kits,

and cleaning supplies. Operation Blessing quickly set up a base of operations in Wren, Mississippi , and worked with volunteer teams to offer hot meals, help clean up debris, tarp roofs to prevent further damage, and offer comfort to those who had lost so much.

“It’s amazing that Operation Blessing came along at a time when we thought we were still on our own,” said Cheryl with the Wren Fire Department.

Cheryl also shared the painful reality of this disaster: “It’s not ended yet, and it’s not going to for a while. Homes are going to take a long time to rebuild, and people are going to be suffering in some measure until that happens.”

Many people lost all of the food in their refrigerators and freezers due to the loss of power from the storm. Folks in this community would be going without hot meals were it not for relief from Operation Blessing.

Minnie, a storm survivor, says the tornado that struck her neighborhood is something she will never forget. “We went through storms, but nothing like this. It’s a lot to take in,” she recalled. “We didn’t even have time to get down. It was just like—boom! And we all hit the floor right there in the hallway.”

“Everybody in my house was okay,” she continued. “We all were okay. But right now, we need help. You know, we need people to help us.”

CBN partners are providing that help. “I just thank God for you because you didn’t have to do it,” Minnie added gratefully. “You could have been doing something else. But He sent you our way, and we thank you so very much for that.”

Operation Blessing continued to deliver food and water through local churches and help local residents as they began the process of rebuilding their lives.

A NEW WAVE OF DEVASTATION

While Operation Blessing was just starting work in Wren, Mississippi, a new batch of tornadoes spawned. Immediately, another Operation Blessing disaster relief team headed to Arkansas to assess the damage there.

In the hard-hit community of Wynne , where four victims passed away, Pastor Marvin described driving his wife through what was left of their town. The sheer destruction overwhelmed her. She said, “Turn around. Take me home; I can’t stand it.”

The need is so great,” said Pastor Marvin. “There’s no power, so people have lost everything that was in their refrigerators, their deep freezers, and right now they’re just living off whatever they can get.”

Operation Blessing relief teams joined with staff, and volunteers joined with local churches to feed the community. “We’ve been serving the needs of the people,” Pastor Marvin said, “... three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and supper. And when I say meals, I’m not talking about a hot dog or a baloney sandwich, I’m talking about some real food.”

Disaster teams continued to join with local volunteers and provide care for this community. “I want to thank and praise the Lord God Almighty for Operation Blessing with the 700 Club,” said Pastor Marvin with gratitude.

With the ongoing support of generous partners like you, CBN ministers to people around the world who are hurting—whether it’s from natural disaster, poverty, or sickness—bringing them hope and sharing the message of God’s unfailing love.

After 27 years of working at a shipyard, Donald in Virginia didn’t expect to spend his future in hardship. Unfortunately, he had to leave his stable job because of a disability. Now, he struggles to provide for his family while living on Social Security.

“It’s been rough,” Donald explained. The rising cost of living has also made financial matters worse. “It’s affected it a lot … because everything’s going up.”

If I don’t completely forgive, will I go to hell?

AThe Bible says in Mark 11:25 ( niv ), “ And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins .”

That is the key to having your prayers answered.

One time, I began to think of the person who made mistakes against me. And I sensed the Lord say, “You’re holding something against him. You better start forgiving him.”

Matthew 5:23-24 tells us, “ Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift .”

You must forgive in your heart. When you stand praying, you must have a forgiving spirit.

If you hold grudges against somebody, you will not have your prayers answered. It doesn’t say you won’t go to heaven.

PLANT THE SEED OF GOD’S WORD IN YOUR HEART

“A mustard seed … grows up and becomes greater than all herbs.” ~Mark 4:31-32

When looking at our country today, let’s not focus on the division, strife, or violence. Instead, let’s focus on how to change it through prayer.

We need to gather as Christians, humble ourselves, and cry out to God.

James 5:16 says, T he earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results ( nlt ). How do we become righteous? Jesus is the righteousness of God, and He gives it to us as a free gift.

As He tells us in Mark 12:30-31 , there are just two rules to observe. First, love God with all your heart. And second, love your neighbor as yourself. In those, we fulfill all the law and the prophets.

Are we filled with His love, His compassion, and His Spirit? If not, we need to turn to Him, for His mercy is new every morning.

He is our hope. He is our solution. He is our

source. He is the Lord God Almighty, who can solve every problem.

The wonderful prosperity we have enjoyed as a nation has not been achieved by our own efforts. We have prospered because He blessed us—and because of the prayers of the generations.

So today, in our generation, let’s turn to the Lord and ask Him to set our hearts on fire with a desire for Him and for His righteousness. Let’s ask Him to give us love for our neighbors by the power of His Holy Spirit. And together, let’s ask Him to heal our land.

And we have His promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14 , “ If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land .” God bless you!
