THAILAND

• Last summer, a young man named Bank became a believer after watching a CBN YouTube video. He contacted the local prayer center, explaining that he had never attended church—and received a recommendation for a nearby place of worship. Bank sought prayer support and guidance as a new believer. He called back to share that God answered his prayer to be off work on Sundays. He enjoys attending church, as it has brought him joy and eased his stress levels. Bank also shared that he has quit smoking and drinking

SOUTH AFRICA

• In August, a CBN ministry team in South Africa had the opportunity to support local women at a business networking event. In Cape Town, the team distributed Bibles and other resources to women who were passionate about using their business skills to empower others. Attendees included new entrepreneurs, business owners with a heart for charity, and some who were in full-time ministry. Our team prays that the resources and relationships will continue to help these women grow in faith and further establish the work of their hands.

ALLEVIATING THE PAIN OF A CHILD

Josue’s story of hope and healing

Five-year-old Josue’s life in Honduras was a constant struggle. The pain of a hernia that had grown with him since birth was unbearable, robbing him of the joy of childhood. His parents, Fany and Melvin, felt heartbroken and helpless. “We will never be able to afford the cost of an operation since we do not have the money,” said Fany. But hope was not lost.

Thanks to the compassion and generosity of caring partners like

you, Josue’s story took a remarkable turn. Through CBN’s Operation Blessing, his life was transformed after receiving the much-needed procedure—at no cost.

Imagine the relief Josue felt as the pain subsided, allowing him to run, play, and experience the simple joys of childhood. His parents’ hearts overflowed with gratitude. Melvin said, “I am very grateful. ... I hope that you can help many more families like ours.”

FROM UNCERTAINTY TO A BRIGHTER FUTURE

Discover how you are educating the young and vulnerable

Alice is an ambitious 15-year-old living in poverty in Kenya. Her life has been filled with uncertainty, and she often wondered where her next meal would come from. Despite her challenging circumstances, this teenager dreams of becoming a doctor.

Such a dream appeared impossible until something amazing happened. Thanks to the compassion of devoted supporters like you, her life took a positive turn. Through CBN’s Orphan’s Promise, Alice now receives the necessary funding to cover her tuition and supplies in order to further her education.

Today, she thrives in a safe environment, fueled by nutritious meals and empowered by knowledge. Witnessing Alice’s beaming smile as she learns is a testament to the impact that partners like you are having. Her story is more than hers alone. It represents countless young people like her.

A grateful Alice said, “Thank you for keeping me in school and buying my school supplies. May God bless you all.”

Did You Know?

Operation Blessing International was founded on November 14, 1978. In the four decades since, partners like you have reached millions around the world with lifesaving and life-changing aid.

A SIMPLE SOLUTION FOR A DANGEROUS PROBLEM

Learn how you are providing hope through the power of clean water

In the mountain region of Indonesia, a boy named Idealis faced the daily struggle of drawing water from a polluted river. The long treks to get there were dangerous, but his family’s health and well-being depended upon it—not to mention it was the only source of water for drinking, bathing, and washing their clothes.

“My family directly bathes in the river, then we collect water from the river using cans that we bring home,” said Idealis’s mother, Tinaria.

When CBN’s Operation Blessing learned of the situation, they installed a rainwater harvesting system to provide clean water for Idealis and his community. This simple yet innovative method captures, stores, filters, and treats rainwater— all made possible by dedicated supporters like you. Idealis and other children in the village now spend their time studying and playing instead of searching for contaminated water.

“My family and I are extremely grateful,” said Tinaria. Thanks to your unwavering partnership, together we can continue providing access to clean water and hope for a brighter future.

Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon. ~Isaiah 58:10 (nlt)

Faithful CBN partners are making it possible to help struggling people worldwide. This includes many who are poor in spirit, and the result is that lives are changed for eternity.

Showing Kindness to Victims of War

Your compassion and generosity have touched the lives of people like Marina. When she lost her husband, Arthur, during the war in Ukraine, Marina was enveloped by God’s love. After Arthur died, Marina and her sons wondered how they would go on without him. Thankfully, they found a shelter and were fed by an organization that partnered with CBN’s Operation Blessing. There, Marina was surrounded by prayers and encouragement from Christian believers. Before long, she asked to be baptized, and she says that day

marked the beginning of a new life for her and her children.

Marina’s story is still ongoing—as is the war in Ukraine. But thanks to wonderful friends like you, we continue reaching out to those who are suffering by providing fuel, groceries, hot meals, and much more. As the war rages on, you continue to provide a beacon of love and hope.

Relief for Americans Facing Hunger

Ben and Brenda’s lives were turned upside down after receiving news that Brenda was in end-stage kidney failure. With Brenda no longer able to work and Ben needing to become her main caregiver, their income took a major hit. The couple turned to a partner of CBN’s Operation Blessing for food assistance. “We didn’t have to worry about it, and it made us feel good, because we just … had the evidence of God,” said Ben.

The couple was drawn back to church. Ben added, “I had really

gotten my life back with the Lord, so there was a little light of hope—so the only thing left was her healing.”

They were told they might have to wait three to five years for a kidney for Brenda, but after just 10 months she received a transplant. Now the couple is thriving and in fulltime ministry.

Ben and Brenda will never forget how you were there for them in their darkest hour.

Rescuing Children from Poverty

John Paulo and his brother grew up in Cavite in the Philippines without a father to provide for them. Daily, they struggled just to survive, living as street children for a time. Surrounded by drugs and crime, they got involved in fights and were considered juvenile delinquents.

But through the intervention of a local church, John Paulo’s heart began to change. However, he was still

trapped in poverty, living in a single cramped room with his mother and brother. It gave them a place to sleep and protection from the rain—but little else. Together, they would scavenge through the garbage for items to sell to a junk shop to help provide for their daily needs.

Then CBN’s Operation Blessing stepped in, making it possible for John Paulo to start a food cart business that changed his life. John Paulo’s story is a reminder of the hope of the Gospel and the freedom that is possible when caring friends like you help break the chains of poverty.

For many years, CBN Founder Pat Robertson continued his family tradition of remembering the poor and needy at Thanksgiving by contributing the same amount of money they spent on Thanksgiving dinner to help provide for others during this holiday.

With your help, we continue this tradition while also proclaiming the Gospel through Christ-centered programs, rushing aid to disaster victims, providing access to clean water for thirsty villagers, extending medical care to the sick and injured, and much more. This Thanksgiving, we are most grateful for you and the ministry you make possible with your faithfulness.

The Season of Change

Autumn is my favorite season. I love the brilliant colors, the sound of dry leaves crunching beneath my feet, and the smell of apples with cinnamon. The air turns crisp and cool—a promise that change is coming. In autumn, our focus shifts to Thanksgiving, and I look forward to a new year, anticipating what God will do next.

But God invites us to come to Him with worship and gratitude all year long. Psalm 100:4 reminds us to enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! It is important enough that it should be the first thing we do when we approach Him. I believe He longs for us to express it to Him.

Paul writes in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 that we should give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God. That is hard—especially when we are facing difficulties and challenges. God’s will is for us to approach Him with a spirit of gratitude even when we feel pressed on every side and desperate for our circumstances to change.

Why? Because God ushers seasons of change through thanksgiving. Expressing our gratitude for Him and what He has done for us opens the door for God to work in us. He shifts our perspective and reminds us of who He is. All we have to do is trust Him through our situations.

So no matter what we face throughout the year, remember to be thankful. Our season is changing. God is bringing something new. We just need to keep our eyes focused on Him.

Q&A

Is artificial intelligence (A.I.) good or evil?

A.I. is not satanic. It’s a series of algorithms—a mathematical equation. There is nothing spiritual about it because it has no spirit. It is electrons moving through silicon wafers. The drawback is that A.I. is made in our image—and that’s a big problem. You and I have been created in God’s image, and He has given us the ability to choose to do good or evil. And all too often we choose to do evil.

A.I. is looking at information from the World Wide Web. If you’ve done any internet searches, you know it has a lot of bad things. Therefore, if A.I. is looking at all of that, it’s going to start mirroring that and picking up some bad things along the way. The good news is, you can train an A.I. version to limit what it looks at, so there’s a lot of potential for really good things to happen as well.

GIVING MULTITUDES THE BREAD OF LIFE

The Bible records how Jesus was teaching more than 5,000 people when His disciples basically told Him, “We’ve got a big crowd, they’re getting hungry, and it’s late. Let’s send them away so they can buy food.”

I love His answer in Mark 6:37: “You give them something to eat.”

Today, we are His disciples, and He is speaking this to us. How many people don’t have Jesus, the Bread of Life? Is it a multitude, more than we can number?

Are we going to answer, “God, send them somewhere else”—or perhaps, “Lord, send the angels to help them”? God didn’t want to do it that way; it brings Him glory to use us.

He has given us the Gospel, and 2 Corinthians 5:19-20 says: In Christ God was reconciling the world to himself … entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.

He is reaching out to the world and telling us, “You give them something to eat.”

When the disciples heard Jesus say this, they asked if they should go buy bread. But He replied, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they had found out, they said, “Five, and two fish” (Mark 6:38).

Then God, the great giver, multiplied what they had and fed the multitude. The disciples simply needed to obey. You and I need to do the same thing in order to achieve what God has commanded us. We must take what we have and say, “God, only You can multiply this. We can plant and water, but only You can give the increase.”

So together let’s pray, “Lord, You’ve commanded us to go and feed Your sheep, and we want to obey. You have shown us the need and given us the strategy, and we agree in faith that we can do it. Now we ask You for the increase and trust You to bring a mighty harvest for Your glory, in Jesus’ name.”

God bless you!
