FROM PAIN TO POSSIBILITY
Alleviating a child’s suffering
Sonam, a young girl in India, was born with clubfoot. Her limb was so drastically misaligned that she was forced to walk almost completely on the top side of her foot. “I am helpless,” Sonam’s father told us. “I am afraid for her future and the pain she goes through.”
As a farmer, Sonam’s father works hard, but the five-part medical procedure his daughter needed cost more than he could afford. Thanks
to the generous donations of friends like you, CBN’s Operation Blessing provided the surgeries Sonam needed for her foot.
Sonam and her family are forever grateful. “I truly believe it’s a miracle,” said Sonam’s mother. “I used to feel sad seeing her condition, but now my husband and I are very happy and blessed that Sonam has fully recovered.”
EXTENDING GOD’S LOVE TO DEVASTATED STORM VICTIMS
Thank you for your unforgettable response to survivors of Hurricane Helene
No one expected Hurricane Helene to hit Asheville, North Carolina, and cause flooding that hasn’t been seen since 1916—especially Hayley Henson.
Hayley works for CBN’s Operation Blessing and for her, Asheville is home. She was overwhelmed with emotion as she surveyed the devastation caused by the storm. “There’s a lot of [people in] low-income communities that can’t leave. They don’t have access to cash. And the jobs they had are gone. It’s really hard.”
However, you made it possible for Operation Blessing to help. “This is the first organization that has been on this side of town,” said one Asheville resident. “We really appreciate you helping us.”
Team members from Operation Blessing came to Asheville—while some remained in Valdosta, Georgia, after helping storm victims there.
Before arriving in North Carolina, the disaster relief team responded to
storm victims in Georgia after Hurricane Helene left a trail of downed trees and power lines, as well as scores of damaged homes, in its wake. Critical supplies, like food, water, and disaster cleanup buckets, were delivered to help the hurting survivors in Valdosta recover.
The disaster team had partnered with Pastor Caleb Clay and his church. He said, “Ever since they got set up at our church here in Valdosta, we’ve been able to send people out to our community to do chainsaw work, clean up debris, and tarp houses.”
In Asheville, Operation Blessing distributed meal kits, food, and water. Hayley shared how this experience has made her even more grateful for her work. “My friends call me, and I can answer and say, ‘We’re on our
way,’” she said. “It brings so much joy to my heart.”
Because of the devastation, Hurricane Helene will always be remembered— and so will the response you made possible through your support of Operation Blessing.
Unwrapping God’s Gift to the World
CBN partners are sharing the hope of Christmas with children around the world
At the Christian Broadcasting Network, Christmas is one of our favorite times of the year. We look forward to celebrating the birth of our precious Savior, Jesus Christ, and spreading joy to others each
season. Although it’s easy to get caught up in buying presents for loved ones, thoughtful friends like you remind us that gifts from the heart don’t always have to come in shiny packages. Through your extraordinary
compassion, you are blessing children like 5-year-old Iker in Mexico in ways they will cherish each day of the year.
Iker was born with an umbilical hernia that caused him severe stomach pain every time he would run or play. Sadly, as Iker got older, his hernia only grew bigger. During a doctor visit, his mother, Ana, learned that healing for her son would involve an expensive operation she could never afford—unless she left the country to find better work. This family needed a miracle, and God provided one through our incredible partners who helped Iker receive free treatment
from Operation Blessing’s LifeChanging Surgeries program. Ever since then, Iker has been enjoying life with a freedom that every kid should have. “Thanks to you, we achieved what we prayed for, for many years,” Ana said with warm gratitude.
Four-year-old Angelina is also thriving because of our devoted partners. This little girl and her family in Moldova couldn’t see past the darkness that consumed their daily lives. Angelina’s mother, a vulnerable teenager, struggled to raise Angelina and her little brother, Ilya, without support from friends or family.
Desperate for help, she reached out to the Childhood for Children Foundation, an organization in Eastern Europe that partners with CBN’s Orphan’s Promise. Thanks to our kindhearted partners, Angelina’s mother received what she needed to help her navigate the challenges of parenthood. While helping Angelina’s mom rent a small apartment, we also provided her with food, diapers, and medical care. As time progressed, we noticed strange
men started frequenting her home. To ensure the children’s safety, we introduced Angelina and Ilya to a friendly couple named Denis and Irina who—just like you—are passionate about rescuing at-risk children from unsafe environments. Now, Angelina and Ilya are part of a family that is full of love—and have a future filled with hope.
donors like you, Diann* also has a reason to smile. While being raised in a Muslim household, this 10-yearold girl could never find meaning in her parents’ religion. Then, a friend invited her to an after-school program in Indonesia where she learned about the Bible through CBN Animation’s Superbook Her life completely transformed the day she viewed “The First Christmas” episode and surrendered her heart to Christ. She shared excitedly, “I felt so happy after I prayed because I know that Jesus is in my heart.” Now Diann is telling others about the One who lovingly
came down to earth and died on a cross for our sins.
Every gift tells a story—yet no gift has greater meaning than the one God bestowed to the world through the death and resurrection of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. As James 1:17 tells us, Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming
Amazing friends like you are bringing families together!
SAFETY THROUGH EDUCATION
You are helping protect children from human trafficking More
Fourteen-year-old Kyle lives in the Philippines where poverty is prevalent. His mother suffered from a severe accident that resulted in third-degree burns on her arm. That’s when his father became the family’s sole breadwinner. Kyle also began to contribute by selling fruit around his
With frequent reports of rape, killings, exploitation, drug-related cases, and kidnappings in the area, Kyle was at risk of becoming one of the millions of children who are
trafficked every year.
When CBN’s Orphan’s Promise heard about Kyle, compassionate friends like you stepped in to help. Kyle learned about ways to protect himself and others from abuse through our Child Sexual Abuse and Prevention (CSAP) program.
“I would like to thank Orphan’s Promise and the donors for supporting the CSAP outreach. Because of your support, I [learned] the importance of [living in] a safe environment,” he shared.
A Fearless Christmas by Jonathan Macnab
Campaign Specialist, Operation Blessing
This Christmas, I don’t have to be afraid of anything. Can you say that today? If you’ve made Jesus the Lord of your life, you can.
When the prophet Micah first prophesied about a coming ruler centuries ago (Micah 5:2), it was at a time—not unlike today—fraught with war and uncertainty. No doubt many lived in fear of the next conflict or calamity—just as we often do now. That’s when God’s Word came down with hope: A ruler was coming who would banish fear.
And he shall stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they shall dwell secure, for now he shall be great to the ends of the earth. And he shall be their peace. (Micah 5:4-5 esv)
I grew up a fearful boy. I was afraid to sleep in the dark, change a tire, or even talk to another person. And that kept me imprisoned—until King Jesus spoke to me. He said, “Don’t be afraid,” just as He had to the Apostle John (Revelation 1:17). At last, the God of the universe had reached out to make my fear go away. Now, I was His
When Jesus came that first Christmas in Bethlehem, it was the beginning of the end for fear itself. One day, there will be no more fear in the world— because Jesus will be reigning. Even now, today, there is no need for any child of God to fear. Jesus is here—God with us!
Q&A
with Gordon Robertson
If Jesus is the Son of God, why did He refer to Himself as the Son of Man?
Jesus Christ is both the Son of God and the Son of Man.
Daniel prophesied, “I saw someone like a son of man coming with the clouds of heaven. … He was given authority, honor, and sovereignty over all the nations of the world, so that people of every race and nation and language would obey him. His rule is eternal” (Daniel 7:13-14 nlt).
The original Hebrew—ben adam (son of man or son of Adam)—means “from red clay.” We were formed from the dust of the ground.
God breathed His Spirit into us, and we became living souls. The Messiah identifies with all our human weaknesses. He was born a baby and possessed a body of flesh. And in that He was filled with the Holy Spirit and performed incredible miracles—all to fulfill prophecy.
God bless you!

CHRISTMAS CHEER FOR THE WORLD
By Gordon Robertson President and CEO
At Christmas, we celebrate how Jesus—who was living with the Father in heaven—chose to leave eternity to come and live in time.
How amazing to think that God Almighty was born in a stable as a helpless baby! The One by whom and through whom all things were created left the glory of heaven to enter our world and become like us.
Jesus went on to live the sinless life, the way it’s supposed to be lived. And then He willingly offered Himself as a sacrifice for all of us on a cross. He could have stopped at any point in time, yet He didn’t want to. Why? Because love compelled Him to die for us so that we could be with Him always.
Hebrews 12:2 explains, Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame. While He was being crucified, He looked forward to that day and said, “Yes, you’re worth it.”
And He didn’t stop there. Jesus rose from the dead—and as the verse in Hebrews continues, sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Jesus is your faith, because He is faith’s author and finisher. He is Immanuel—God with us—as Isaiah 7:14 prophesied.
He cautions us in John 16:33, “In the world you will have tribulation;” yet He concludes with this great promise: “But be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
And right now, Jesus is praying with us and for us, as Hebrews 7:25 says: He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
So, rejoice and be of good cheer! Our Savior came to give His life for us, He is with us here in this world, and He will take us to His home in heaven for all eternity. Merry Christmas, and God bless you! Excerpted from teachings on The 700 Club. Scripture is quoted from the NKJV.
