WHEN HARD WORK ISN’T ENOUGH
Your partnership makes provision for desperate families
Every day brings challenges for Nicole, Oscar, and their daughter, Savannah. “It’s hard to make ends meet,” Nicole explained. “After bills are paid, it’s hard to find the funds to get food. … It’s been very difficult.”
Oscar does his best as a hardworking construction laborer.
“I do everything I can do from building a house to electrical.”
Fortunately, the family discovered a nearby food ministry—where they live
in Norfolk, Virginia—that partners with CBN’s Operation Blessing. They now have regular access to nutritious food that includes fruit, vegetables, quality meats, and nourishing snacks.
“I don’t think you understand how much it means to us out here in that struggle,” said a grateful Nicole.
“But it means everything. … Thank you so much! … You all are doing incredible work.”

CLEAN WATER IN COSTA RICA
Your steadfast partnership bless students in need
In the mountains of Costa Rica, children like Geovania endure treacherous journeys to reach school. Their path winds through the rugged Palmera Indigenous Reserve, fraught with dangers like river crossings and lurking snakes. Yet, their efforts are often in vain, as school closures due to water shortages are all too common.
Geovania’s mother explained, “In the summer, the river dries up, but in the rainy season, the hose is damaged. If there’s no water, they can’t cook, they can’t drink, and the children go back home.” The predicament leaves over 60 students without a proper education.
“I was sad to miss my classes,” said Geovania. “I would like the school to have water.”
Thanks to the compassionate support of partners like you, CBN’s Operation Blessing installed a rainwater
catchment system that is capable of storing over 5,000 gallons of water. This gift of clean water now ensures that Geovania and her peers can attend school without interruption, offering them hope for a brighter future.
MAKING AN eternal DIFFERENCE THROUGH prayer
God honors the faith-filled prayers of CBN partners
IIn a time of great crisis across our nation and around the world, CBN partners are making a difference through prayer. Jesus promises us, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24 esv).
Fervent prayer has shaped CBN’s ministry from its inception. When Pat Robertson prayed for direction in 1960, God told him to take the airwaves for His glory. So, he and his wife, Dede, moved their young family to Portsmouth, Virginia, where he bought a defunct UHF
television station.
Pat’s son Gordon Robertson, now CBN’s president and CEO, recalled, “My lingering memory of my father is that every single morning, he would be on his knees in prayer.”
Despite tremendous challenges and personal hardships, Pat and Dede persevered in faith and prayer—and on October 1, 1961, the Christian Broadcasting Network went on the air. At first, its signal could barely be seen around the block. But over the years, through the dedicated prayers and support of partners like you, God expanded CBN into a
powerful global outreach. Millions of souls can hear the Gospel in their own languages, and miracles of healing take place as viewers pray in faith.
And prayer remains the foundation of everything that CBN does today.
“We basically see ourselves as the heart of the ministry,” said Richard Spangler, a staff member with CBN’s Prayer Center for over 20 years. “We pray 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We have people on the phones, even on Christmas.” Describing how viewers respond when a word of knowledge is given on The 700 Club, he said, “The phones would light up; people would call in saying, ‘I just got healed!’”
Last year alone, the CBN Prayer Center:
• Responded to over 1.3 million prayer needs on the phone and with online chats, text messages,
and emails
• Provided more than 337,000 pieces of Scripture-based literature
• Received reports of over 1,900 answers to prayer
• Recorded more than 6,500 professions of faith as people prayed for salvation or rededicated their lives to God
Because of your steadfast prayers, lives are changed!
Last Thanksgiving, Justine in Virginia heard that a family member was missing. She prayed—then knew just what to do. Even though it was a holiday, Justine called CBN’s prayer line. As a caring staff member prayed Bible promises over the missing relative, Justine was amazed to hear the exact words she herself had prayed before calling. And as they prayed, police
“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

In Indonesia, Andita grew up lonely and unloved. Her mother had taken a job abroad and never returned. Consumed with work, her father took no interest in the girl. Andita began to seek fulfillment through drinking and unhealthy relationships. But when the local CBN Prayer Center phone number flashed across her TV screen, she called and received Jesus as her Savior. Today she is joyfully serving God and has reconciled with her family. As a CBN partner, you are providing
a way for millions of hurting people to find hope in crisis situations and opening a door for miracles. And we want you to know that we are here for you, in whatever challenges you face. Just call 800-700-7000, and someone who cares will pray for you—and believe with you for the answers you need!
“The Bible asks us to lay our burden at Jesus’ feet,” said Gordon Robertson, adding, “Don’t pick it back up!” As Philippians 4:6 tells us, Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

PEACE in My Storm
by Dayna Lovelady
Employee Engagement Manager, CBN
More
A few years ago, I was in a peaceful sleep when a blaring tornado alarm and a message saying to take cover startled me awake.
With my home shaking, the winds howling, and debris hitting the windows, I ran to my bathroom to take cover. While kneeling on the floor and waiting for the EF-3 tornado to pass, I prayed for protection and peace. Even with thunderous winds intensifying, a calming peace overtook me as I remembered a rainstorm-induced flood I survived several years prior.
During the tornado, God gave me peace by whispering to my spirit that His presence was with me, so I did not need to fear.
My Spirit remains among you, just as I promised when you came out of Egypt. So do not be afraid (Haggai 2:5 nlt).
Through the prophet Haggai, God reminded the people that His Spirit was with them—just as when they came out of Egypt. God referenced His record, indicating His current ability to perform a miracle while providing peace. He told them they had no reason to fear because of His presence and ability. Sometimes, we face physical storms. Other times, we face spiritual storms. No matter the storm, as children of God, He is with us.
As the psalmist said in Psalm 51:11-12, may our prayer also be, Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me.
God, I am facing storms in my life that threaten my peace. I choose to trust that Your presence is with me. I believe in You, Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.
How do we pray acceptably?
Q&A
with Gordon Robertson
First, enjoy talking with God. Prayer should be a conversation, where it’s important to be quiet and listen sometimes. God wants to talk with His children and open our ears, so that we can hear His voice and see how He’s working all things together for our good. Let your prayers be governed by 1 John 5:14-15, which says that if we pray in accordance with His will, we know He hears us, and if He hears us, we know we have what we request.
I also encourage Christians to study the Lord’s Prayer, the prayers of the Apostle Paul, and the Psalms—each of which is a prayer and a conversation with God. If you follow these pathways, you’ll have every confidence you’re entering the throne room of God and praying in accordance with His will. When you do that, you know you will receive an answer.

The Power of Praying in Jesus’ Name
By Gordon Robertson President and CEO
It’s amazing what happens when you believe God—when you believe His promises that He wants to heal you, restore you, guide you, and strengthen you.
Jesus declares in John 10:10, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” He came to do that for each one of us. He did not come to deprive us of a single thing. Christ came to give us everything—that we would be joint heirs with Him.
Romans 8:15-17 explains, You received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.
Imagine standing in the position of Jesus before the throne of God—for that’s what the Bible says we do as joint heirs with Christ. This is because we are … justified freely by His grace
through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (Romans 3:24).
How wonderful to know that our sins have been completely taken away! Psalm 103:12 assures us, As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
And so, when we come to God, we come standing in Jesus’ name as joint heirs with Him. When we pray in His name, we’re saying to God, “I’m standing before You as Your child. I have that right and I have that privilege, for I’m a joint heir with Jesus.”
Now, when you have that in your mind, in your spirit, and in your innermost being, you can truly believe it—and when you speak your prayer, you’re speaking with power.
It’s incredible what happens if you just think this way. So, change your thinking, believe the Good News, and you can have miracles in your life. God bless you!
