• In August 2024, CBN Animation’s Superbook partnered with a local church to support a children’s event in the Thiès region of Senegal. Nearly 100 children gathered for a few days of relaxation, entertainment, and spiritual enrichment. They celebrated a year of studying the Bible with activities, games, and screenings of Superbook episodes. They even received vaccinations for the start of the new school year.

UNITED STATES (GEORGIA)

• In Fall 2024, a Category 4 hurricane hit the Southeast, and CBN’s Operation Blessing brought aid to devastated survivors. Josh, a Georgia resident, was at the hospital visiting his wife when Hurricane Helene ravaged his neighborhood. No one in his family was injured, but downed trees were everywhere. Fortunately, Operation Blessing’s disaster relief team was there. “In this one short day, they came out and cleared the debris,” Josh said. “They cleared the trees from the top of my house and secured tarps over the holes and damage. The large trees that were down in the yard have been cleared. I am so grateful.”

It was a decision that would alter her life forever. Yovel and her husband, Mor, decided to attend a music festival in Israel on October 7, 2023.

As Hamas began its brutal attack, the couple hurried to their car to escape the horror. Unfortunately, the road was blocked by terrorists, and bullets began pounding their vehicle. Mor was tragically killed. Yovel pretended to be dead for hours, until the army came and took her to a hospital. Now, she deals with severe anxiety attacks and is unable to work.

Yovel is deeply grateful for caring friends like you who offered her financial assistance through CBN Israel and a partnering ministry nearby. She also receives much-needed trauma counseling until she is able to work again.

“Thank you for opening your hearts,” said a thankful Yovel. “It is not taken for granted how you are standing with us.”

Then CBN’s Operation Blessing stepped in to help. Thanks to generous partners like you, Delfina and her family received an answer to prayer—a shed, feed, and chickens to start a poultry and egg business.

“My daughter loves scrambled eggs and now I can give them to her. I’m so happy!” Delfina said. Her son, Derik, is grateful because the family can now look forward to a better life. He shared, “Thank you with all my heart for helping us.”

SHARING GOD’S LOVE WITH A HURTING WORLD

CBN partners bring peace, protection, and provision to others in need

First John 4:10 (niv) tells us, This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Sadly, millions of men, women, and children here in America and across the globe have never received the unconditional love of God. Yet, the Lord has blessed CBN with dedicated partners like you who generously demonstrate His love by meeting the needs of desperate people. The worldwide results are astounding!

GOD’S LOVE BRINGS A YOUNG WOMAN HOPE

In the nation of Indonesia, a woman named Rani felt like her life was spiraling downward. The hopes of spending a life in holy matrimony came to an end after her fiancé suddenly ended their relationship. Devastated, Rani saw no way forward and began to harm herself, which could have led to suicide.

Then one day, she stumbled upon CBN’s Solusi television program that you help support. Thanks to your unwavering generosity, Rani discovered that she had a place to turn in her darkest hour. After reaching out to CBN, Rani found the help she desperately needed.

“The CBN Prayer Center has been such a blessing because I felt immediate peace after being prayed for,” said Rani, sincerely grateful.

Rani was connected with a nearby church, and she learned the importance of letting go of the hurt caused by her former fiancé. No longer bitter, Rani began to pursue a master’s degree and look forward to the future. “I praise God that I’m growing closer to Him,” she joyfully shared.

A VICTIM RECOVERS FROM THE TRAUMA OF WAR

In the crossfire of the Ukraine war, Jenia lived her worst nightmare. In a single moment, she witnessed her husband’s death right before her eyes due to a devastating rocket attack. Traumatized, this elderly widow was forced to flee to Israel alone.

Jenia settled near the Israel-Gaza border, arriving with nothing. Since the dreadful and unforgettable October 7 invasion, she has been caught in the middle of yet another war. But compassionate supporters like you demonstrated the love of God to Jenia—providing her with furniture and groceries. As Jenia dealt with the horrors of war and loss of her husband, you also assisted by making trauma care and counseling available to her. “Thank you so much for your help!” said a thankful Jenia. “I lost everything and felt so alone. But your kindness has been such a blessing to me as I try to rebuild my life.”

A COUPLE IN CRISIS FINDS HELP

Delbert and Belinda, a happily married couple in Georgia, worked together to make ends meet. Then, Delbert became sick. He was hospitalized with a MRSA infection and double pneumonia. A long hospital stay was just the beginning of this couple’s struggle. When Delbert left the hospital, he was still seriously ill. He couldn’t work, and Belinda had to stay home to care for him. Suddenly, they were without an income. “We needed food,” said Delbert. “We were [in] dire straits.”

That’s when the couple discovered a ministry that partners with CBN’s Operation Blessing. Thanks to caring friends like you, they received free groceries. Encouraged, Belinda said gratefully, “They pray with you and basically tell you, ‘It’s going to be okay. We’re here for you.’”

Today, Delbert is healthy, and the couple is back on their feet. Both are deeply thankful that you were there to help when they were in need. “Thank you for loving God and loving people enough to help,” said Belinda with gratitude

So many are facing a new year knowing that they can depend on God’s power, love, and provision in their lives because of you. These precious people will never forget how you showed them how much God cares by bringing them food, clean water, medical care, and—most important—the good news of Jesus Christ.

Hello, New Year

Dayna Lovelady

Have you ever eagerly awaited a new year for a fresh start on your goals, prayers, and hopes? Or perhaps you wanted to leave setbacks in the past and move on.

A few years ago, as a new year neared, I saw many eager to leave the past year behind. After a year of accomplishments, healing, grief, and disappointment, I too felt ready for a fresh start.

While reflecting on the previous year, I remembered my fitness goals, growing closer to God, and grieving loved ones, including Dr. Pat Robertson. As I replaced my calendar, I felt a renewal while thinking of 2 Corinthians 5:17 (nlt): This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

When we belong to Christ, our old life fades as we renew our relationship with Him through nurturing and growth.

Although we may repeat old habits, Scripture encourages us to start anew in Christ. Isaiah 43:18-19 says, But forget all that—it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

Despite the previous year’s unmet resolutions, God wants to do new things in your life. Whether you enter this year with joy or apprehension, let hope arise as God leads you into the new. Then you can shout, “New year, new me!”

Q&A

Why does the Bible say to pray without ceasing? How often should I pray for the same thing?

Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17 esv) means we should stay in constant contact with God, who is the source of everything. This does not mean continuously praying for the same thing.

Regarding praying once with faith, Mark 11:14 records how Jesus saw a fig tree without fruit and said, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” The next day, the disciples saw it had withered to its roots. Jesus hadn’t prayed all night for that to happen; He said it once. He then declared, “Whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (v. 24).

In Luke 18:1-8, we read how Jesus told a parable to encourage people to pray without giving up. He described a widow who persisted in petitioning an unrighteous judge until he finally said, “I will give her justice.” Jesus concluded, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night?”

Within Scripture, we find examples of praying once and praying persistently—and both are fine. So, if you haven’t received an answer to your prayer, keep praying until you receive that breakthrough.

Start 2025 with Peace of Mind by Planning for the Future Today

TRUST GOD FOR THE IMPOSSIBLE

As we go along in life, it’s easy to become set in our ways and limit our expectations. But as this new year dawns, let’s be open to everything that God has for us!

Jeremiah 32:17 declares, Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.

And Jesus tells us in Mark 10:27, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”

Right now, we are entering an era of extraordinary possibilities with new media and technology. It’s incredible to think about the many ways CBN can implement these wonderful new tools to preach the Gospel—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people, as Revelation 14:6 says.

As I was considering all of this recently, a picture came to mind in which I was standing on a riverbank trying to figure out how to cross to the other side. Then

another image came to mind—that of an eagle soaring high overhead, never worried about crossing a river.

There’s a great temptation to look at things in the natural. But we need to remember that God made the heavens and the earth, and with Him, nothing is impossible.

So what is your concern today? Jesus has made a way for you, and He will see you through. Turn to Him in faith. Ask Him to remove all doubt and unbelief. Invite Him to breathe His inspiration into your heart. Then trust Him to fill you with His courage and boldness.

Isaiah 40:31 promises, Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles. And Ephesians 2:6 says we are in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

When we are with Jesus up in the spiritual realm, then truly all things are possible.

God bless you!
