NEW CAMBRIDGE ROWING CLUB
Man and nature are two dominant, opposing forces present on the site of the Cambridge Rowing Club. In response to the site conditions, the proposed re-design of the rowing club conceives the building as a transitional path between the urban city and nature, and celebrates the act of rowing as a vessel of this experience. The key component to the design is the north-south path that penetrates through both ends of the building, enhancing the transitional experience through a materiality shift and sight lines.

ENSEMBLE RESIDENCES
Ensemble aims to build relationships between its inhabitants and the larger community. In the rapidly changing society today, two single parent families and seniors are highly susceptible to negative impact. However, their differing troubles reveal the possibility of collaboration to achieve mutual emotional and physical support. The building design reflects this notion of unity through its circular form, circulation, and program. HOUSE FOR AN ARTIST
This residential house is designed as a permanent living and working space for an ink-wash bamboo painter and collector. The design embraces two concepts: connection of the interior with the exterior and functionality - the house itself promoting inspiration in the artist. Materiality, form, and program establish axes which in turn direct circulation, creating spatial experiences that reflect the design concepts.

SSEF: FALSE BRIDGE
False Bridge is a pavillion built as a scenic lookout area; a public resting space for one to enjoy the beautiful skyline of Vancouver’s Fraser Valley and river. Following the 2012 SSEF (Steel Structures Education Foundation) competition theme, recycling, the pavillion proposes a second life for the Pattullo Bridge - a structure slated to be demolished in the near future. It reuses the entirety of the Pattullo bridge, from the site to the steel connections.

ARCHITECTS During my internship I was actively involved as a member of two project teams: Yorkville Plaza - a mixed use high-rise complex located in Toronto, Canada, in its design development and working drawing stages. Yunnan Tuodong Development - concept and design proposal for a large-scale competition in Kunming, China.

My major responsibilities included the layout of high-rise residential plans, below grade plans, and the CAD files for laser cutting the physical model. This table was designed for the 2013 MUJI Competition. It is founded on the concept of bridging traditional lifestyles associated with group oriented values with the individualistic habits of our modern times. The design allows the coffee table to transform into a dining table seating up to 6 people, accommodating the social activites of both families and individuals.
