DYNAMI HOUSE Dynamixhouse, is an innovative modular system for volume housing. It adds flexibility and adaptability to the future houses by changing the personal space into dynamic parts. The house have two parts. One is the traditional housing space, which provides room for sharing activities including dinning, kitchen and living. This sharing part is the last to be changed in the house. The other one is the plugin part. It allows users to add or change the position of some functional modules. With the help of device like AR, users can choose the plugin which is designed by architects on the website or even in the mobile application. Besides, users can also customise their own plugin by hiring architects to do the design. Based on the taxonomy research about the room size and circulation of Porter Davis houses, the configuration of the plugin base will be designed according to the following rules: Smaller-size plugins for the temporary activities will be placed beside the circulation space and larger-sized ones will be on the inner side. The plugin base is designed according to the potential users of the house and it has some pre-positioned connections. So, the plugins, which have two or three different sizes, will be insert in the corresponding positions. By comparing the different sizes of plugins, I found that with the size of the plugin becoming smaller, the operability for the users will decline but the flexibility for the house will increase. For example, a plugin with the dimension of 100 times 100 mm is difficult to be handled by the users without professional assistance but is of most flexibility to the house. Considering the minimum space for a certain activity, the dimension of the plugins in the dynamic house is designed to be around 1 times 3 metres. In conclusion, this proposition is trying to make a revolution on the produce and selling process of the volume houses. The plugins system offers flexibility to the traditional houses by selling the personal space as a product. And it also helps to create a new relationship between architects and users by providing a simpler customisation process and an easier way to rearrange the interior space.
