DIMENSION
M-Pavilion(swing) by OMA seems to be an experiment about the public domain which is trying to minimize the interference from the designer. The swing, in my opinion, act as an key element in terms of the fexibility of the space. It adds possibility for the multiple use of the space.

Situationist drawing device The "Situationist Drawing Device" is a backpack-sized mechanism for recording the experience of landscape. Designed by Ji Soo Han and Paul Ornsby, and operating by way of mirrors, the Device "records a journey taken in an altered state of perception through drawing." It is an "intermediary and interpretative tool," the designers add, one that stands between the human body and the landscape it exists within and explores. "As each eye retina receives different images, both conditions blur into one and simultaneously alternate—phasing in and out over the other," the designers write. "This blurring effect, as known as retinal rivalry, creates a new perception of the site. The device was initially adapted from the pseudoscope (Greek, false view) which is a binocular instrument that reverses depth perception. The idea of reversing left and right eye vision was adapted to reverse forward and backward vision." The "Situationist Drawing Device" is what happens when an unironic Vitruvian sensibility is crossed with the willful absurdity of Situationist urban exploration, by way of mirrors and pens: an unfeasibly complicated piece of clothing through which the experience of built space is memorably upended. The Geometric Abstraction Drawing demonstrates the characteristics of the site context, expressing architecturally through the devices’ notation and tectonics of both residential and industrial conditions. Fragments of geometries from both sides combine to construct an abstract composition of architectural space. Situated on the boundary and extending into both sides, the intervention creates a point of connection through the insertion of a Scrap Metal Refinery, an art studio run by two artists who collaborate with both residential and industrial community. The artists work closely with the automobile repair center and Dunkirk’s residence to produce art work. Cars are dismantled and elements are extracted for resale or recycled for the metal workshop. Artists working with Dunkirk’s residence use recycled car parts to create art work, displayed on the residential side. Unused metal at the workshop is then sent to the local scrap yard. The proposal aims to mediate the two disconnected sides of Dunkirk through creating new opportunities for the residential community to be involved in the creative process of metal works. keywords: inflatable tube This project offers a space with linear circulation. The whole pavilion is a inflatable tube, with several components combining with each other. This kind of form permit the further development and reformation by the users.
Serpentine Pavilion 2015 _SalgasCano keywords: light structure
Different from the former one, this project using light steel structure, with multi-colored ETFE sheets and webbing to wrapping it. The height of this two pavilion is near meters, which permit the adding of device and decoration on the top.
