Remembering Patricia Patricia Ann Jamison was born August 13, 1934 in Logansport Louisiana to parents Pearlie B. Jones and Leslie Jamison, both whom have preceded her in death. Patricia has 3 siblings, Annette Marie White (preceded in death), Carolyn Sue Taylor (Houston, Texas) and Richard C. Atkins (preceded in death). Patricia accepted Christ at an early age. In 1953, she and her family relocated to Houston, Texas at which time they united with Miles Chapel CME Methodist Church. Patricia attended Phyllis Wheatley High School through the 11th grade. She was active as a majorette. June 10, 1956 Patricia married Robert Lee Walker and to this union five children were born; Jacqueline Ann Walker Burkes (Jackie), Wanda Diane Ellis (Peggy) Eugene-Spouse, Sharon Denise Jackson (Dary), Aretha Jean Walker (Retha) and Robert Lee Walker Jr. Patricia and Robert Sr. divorced in 1973. Mrs. Walker went on to raise her 5 children, all 5 children were reared as members of Miles Chapel CME Methodist Church where Ms. Walker remained a member until the Lord called her home on December 26, 2019 at the age of 85. She was a faithful member of the Miles Chapel Choir for many years. Mrs. Walker worked 6 days a week for Rich Families in the River Oaks area of Houston, cleaning and taking care of their children in order to provide for her own 5 children. After working long days in River Oaks she would catch the bus home to 5th Ward. She always made sure her children had everything they needed for school. Noteworthy was her commitment to providing her children with what they needed for school. She would sit up late at night after getting off from work, and hand sew blue “Glee Club” skirts for her daughters who were in the school choir. She always taught her girls to “be a lady” and taught all of her children to work. In later years, Ms. Walker went on to obtain her GED and became Manager of Food Services for Houston Independent School District, where she remained until she retired at age 62. She was blessed with 3 grandchildren; Cindy Nicole Wallace (Jackie -Spouse), Christopher Jackson and Eugena Michelle Ellis. So precious are her 2 great grandchildren; Brooklyn Nicole Jallah- Ellis and Jackson Reese Wallace. She leaves to mourn, her 5 children, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 1 sister Ms. Carolyn Sue Taylor, and a host of other relatives and friends. Ms. Walker’s Legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and their children, for generations to come until the Lord returns.

Tributes of Love When Momma would call me, she would call me by my full name “Jacqueline Ann”! No one could call me like her and I would always reply. When I would call her, I would say “Momma, Momma” and she would tell me “Stop calling me Momma”. I would then reply, “What would you like me to call you, Daddy?” She would then reply “Just don’t call me! I would laugh and still call her “Momma, Momma” and she would reply “Jacqueline Ann” and I would just laugh. I will miss Momma and hearing her call me by my full name, like only she could. I love my Momma to the moon and back and I will miss her. It was always Ann and those children. “Momma, Momma”, you received your wings. Now rest and know you were loved.
Jacqueline Ann

Granny, I just ask that you keep watch over me. I will miss our lunch dates. I will miss your phone calls to check on me, to see what city I’m in, or what I’m doing. I’ll still get your souvenirs and just bring them to heaven when I see you again. Love you and miss you,
Christopher God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be so, he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come to me”. With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away and although we love you dearly We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Love,
