Wow, it seems like just yesterday Celebrate Weddings was launching its inaugural issue. Now we’re celebrating our one year anniversary and we are so grateful to the vendors who have participated and showed so much appreciation and joy for the magazine. It’s because of the love and appreciation of our viewers and vendors that we are expanding. Starting out as a Florida wedding planning magazine, we are so proud and overcome with joy to say that Celebrate Weddings is officially a nationwide wedding planning magazine. If there’s one thing we love to do it’s celebrate, which is why in the next four issues we’re featuring one vendor from each state to ring in the new year and expansion with us. That’s right, by the end of the year you’ll have learned about 50 vendors, one in each of the 50 states. Celebrating our anniversary issue with us, we are delighted to have a gown designer who dares to be bold and bring you sexy, beautiful wedding gowns you will love wearing on your wedding day. On the cover and throughout the magazine, you will find styles and designs from designer Julie Vino’s Secrets 2022 Collection. In this issue, we’re also very happy to announce you’ll see designs from designer Maggie Sottero’s latest Spring 2022 Collection. Once upon a time doesn’t end there though, because we have, not one, but two fairytale wedding inspirations in the upcoming pages. There’s even more though! We have all of the gold you can possibly want with a Glamorous Gold styled shoot that’s swoon-worthy. Also, a page-turning Romeo & Juliet wedding inspiration that literature lovers will, well, love. Not to mention tons of inspiration from real wedding stories that you’re sure to adore. From the Yosemite National Park to Louisiana, there’s so much to inspire.
THE COVER
Thank you, Julie Vino, Dress Designer
Expanding doesn’t mean we’re changing, just bringing you more amazing inspiration and vendors that you may just want to contact for your own wedding day. Which is where we switched things up — while there’s always been a vendor directory in the back of each issue, going forward you can find vendors nationwide on our website: weddingdaymatch.com. Why the switch-up? We made it better! Wedding Day Match is not just a vendor directory, it can actually match you with your wedding vendors. Just click on the vendor category you’re looking for and use the dropdown advanced filters to be matched with a vendor in your area that meets your criteria. Within minutes you just cut down on your search time. Go ahead check it out for yourself, and we hope you love this new growing vendor directory as much as we do! As always, with each upcoming issue we will strive to bring you much of the same (while also bringing you so much more!). Happy reading, thank you for celebrating our anniversary issue with us, and please enjoy the pages to come! Best wishes!

Destination:
Hawaii
via HNL (Studios, of course) It’s no secret that Hawaii is the dream destination for weddings — it has everything from a tropical climate to bright and colorful surroundings. Indeed, as HNL Studios explains it, “Hawaii provides couples with the convenience of traveling within the US, but still allows them to have an experience that is different from most locations on the mainland.” And the folks at HNL Studios are an authority on the island. Having been to beautiful beaches and other gorgeous locations, they say they love the North Shore for its beautiful beaches and stunning sunsets. Many of the weddings they have photographed have ben in that very spot. As wedding photographers go, HNL Studios is unique in that they only photograph and film weddings. “Being able to focus on weddings has allowed [them] to really refine the way [they] do things, which allows [their] couples to relax and know that they are going to have authentic, heartfelt and meaningful wedding imagery.” So leave the worries and stress behind, and celebrate your wedding day with confidence that your experience will be beautiful with HNL Studios. They proudly offer an all-inclusive experience to couples with photography, videography/cinema, and photo booth services. Spring 2022 Issue

Videography Styles with Chris Hiltz, Owner of TLIC Media
There are two main types of videography styles—cinematic and documentary—and when choosing a videographer for your wedding it is important to make sure they can deliver what you’re looking for. We connected with Chris Hiltz, the owner of TLIC Media, to learn more about these different styles, and here’s what we’ve learned: Cinematic is a creative style of videography that focuses on capturing moments in time where the final product is edited, bringing scenes together to make the final video using emotion over logic. In short, as Hiltz explains it, “cinematic videography means you are filming in a way that looks like it does in the cinema. With this type, you are filming 24 frames per second and using movement and shots to create a cinematic style [that] uses techniques such as creative angles and irregular framing.” Whereas, documentary is a style that captures everything from beginning to end in a more organized approach, and “you won’t necessarily have the cut scenes that a cinematic film includes.”
Photos by Danielle Love Photography

Celebrate Weddings
No doubt the “wow factor” is inherent in the cinematic style. As noted by Hiltz, “[subtle] special effects can add to the beauty [of these films] especially when using [professional editing techniques]. You can get really creative with using prisms and creating bends in the light to make things look really awesome. Also, post-production effects add to the beauty of the film.” So which style is more popular? It’s about an even split according to Hiltz. However, more and more, he is seeing a trend toward requests for a blended approach to get the best of both worlds. This is possible because these styles are not mutually exclusive—documentary videography can be cinematic and vica-versa. This is what Hiltz says TLIC Media is all about —they “film and capture . . . weddings in a cinematic way while taking a very chronological and organized approach to the document of [a couple’s] special day.”

Something Blue It is said that the Something Blue tradition originating in England in the Victorian era is meant to signify the love, purity, faithfulness, and modesty that is needed for a successful marriage — in essence, warding off any evil that lurks, at least according to popular thought. While many are not superstitious, they may still decide to partake in the fun tradition of carrying Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, and Something Blue (and maybe even a Sixpence in their shoe !). In years past, it was common to consider a blue garter one’s Something Blue, but more recently we have seen a trend in embracing the tradition and incorporating it in a more obvious and stated fashion. Today, the wedding party may be dressed in blue gowns, blue hair accessories may be added to any style, blue flowers can be the focus of bouquets, and blue shoes may be tucked away under one’s dress. In short, the sky is the limit when deciding to incorporate the Something’s tradition.

Live Painting: Entertainment Meets Art with Stephanie Torregrossa Gaffney of Torregrossa Fine Art
There is no doubt that live event painting has become increasingly popular. It adds a level of fun, but also sophistication and sentimentality, to any wedding. It also allows couples to have a piece of fine art that truly captures them as a couple on what is their most special day. “[T]he painting itself is one of the few things [couples] will bring home and display after the wedding, and it was created with sheer magic. It also seems to be the most tangible way to include relatives who have passed on, which is what makes these paintings so endearing and special,” explains experienced event painter in Louisiana, Stephanie Torregrossa Gaffney with Torregrossa Fine Art. But what is it really? It is when a painter or artist sits down at a wedding to capture a moment in time with a canvas. Every artist has their preferred medium, and the sky is the limit. However, Torregrossa reminds us that couples should make sure they are educated about their options before selecting a painter. As she explains, weddings are important events, so it should never be the time for the painter to experiment. When asked about her preferred medium, Torregrossa says “I use acrylics for live painting, because I am comfortable with how the pigments layer and dry, however I’ve been using oil paints in my studio for a few years now, and I intend to offer oil paintings as an option for brides in the near future.”

So what are some popular scenes requested among couples? Coming in second place are the ceremony or the ceremony exit, according to Torregrossa, but hands down the number 37
Celebrate Weddings
one most requested scene is the first dance. “It’s a romantic and/or lively scene, which is usually set in the beautifully and intentionally decorated reception space, and can be painted with a crowd of either recognizable or silhouetted guests.” Let’s talk budget… the price point for hiring an artist varies based on location, experience, and popularity. Although, it doesn’t have to break the budget — “[s]ome new artists start at around $1,000, while more experienced, renowned artists . . . charge $10,000 or more,” according to Torregrossa.

STYLED SHOOT
Glamorous gold styled shoot Wedding inspiration Elise van der Lee photography Styled shoot inspiration
Photos by Elise van der Lee Photography
As the photographer Elise describes it, “the theme of this wedding inspired styled shoot was Glamorous Gold. Creating a super elegant and sophisticated wedding with an abundance of white flowers and gold accents was the goal.” The team “wanted to incorporate a couple of different things during this styled shoot like a swing for bridal portraits.” The team’s creativity and talent shine through, which is why we absolutely love the styled shoot. We love how detailed it was, incorporating a little bit of gold into everything from the flowers to the napkins and even the gold rim on the goblets. The photographer even notes the venue, saying how “The University Club of Winter Park was just the perfect place in the Winter Park area. This venue has a Mediterranean-style building on Historic Park Avenue in Winter Park, FL. This beautiful and unique venue is surrounded with mossladen oaks and has a gorgeous gazebo that we turned into our ceremony site. The golf course across from the venue was the perfect backdrop for sunset pictures.”
The team “created a wedding day from beginning till end. Arriving at your wedding in a gorgeous white Rolls-Royce is a dream for many couples. The gorgeous Rolls-Royce was put at the entrance of the wedding venue for beautiful portrait pictures. After the ceremony it's time for cocktail hour. We had the Bubble Buggi at the courtyard with the fountain for an amazing cocktail or a glass of champagne. This gorgeous spot was just perfect for cocktail hour and with the stunning hors d'oeuvres from Foodie Catering cocktail hour can't be any better. For an extra opportunity of portraits we incorporated a swing which was decorated with the same beautiful white flowers with gold accents, just like at the gazebo. We placed the swing in front of the University Club of Winter Park for a beautiful back drop. “The reception and sweetheart table were set up in the same elegant glamorous gold style. White table linen with gold napkins and white plates. The wine glasses and water goblets had a gold rim as finishing touch. At the center of the reception table we had a high flower arrangement and on the sweetheart table we had another flower arrangement. With the beautiful menu cards as finishing touch on the plates. “Of course we cannot replicate a wedding without details. We had a stunning invitation suite where the invitation had gold on the edges for a luxury look. Beautiful envelopes that had the guests name printed on them and an RSVP card. The stationer also designed special vow books for this occasion. The beautiful styling mats we had, were the base to make the flat lay's. To accompany the invitation suite we had special jewelry, ring boxes, ribbon, ring dishes etc.” -Elise, photographer

A “Whodunnit” Themed Wedding & Cocktail Recipe We see lots of different themed wedding ideas, but one that we feel we haven’t seen enough of are mystery-themed weddings. Mysteries are such a fun and exciting way to bring friends and families together with an air of intrigue — yes, even to a wedding. Some have dared to pull it off citing a “Clue” theme, but with so much more inspiration these days (we’re thinking of the new movie “Death on the Nile”), lots can be done in this area, bridging the gap between gothic weddings and historical or traditional weddings. To get your juices flowing, enjoy this intriguing cocktail recipe courtesy of Fresh from the Kitchen (an Arizona based catering company).
