Editor’s Letter “It’s a world of laughter, a world of tears. It’s a world of hopes and a world of fears. There’s so much that we share, that it’s time we’re aware, it’s a small world after all.”

THE ESSENTIAL

360 5 DAYS | $9995 1 AWESOME BATHROOM RENOVATION

This iconic Disney sing-a-long song tells a story we can all relate to – “It’s a small world.” Growing up in Saskatoon, I have been given the opportunity to easily find connections and commonalities with people I meet on a daily basis. Our lives are filled with moments of connection. These moments are familiar and remind us of a place of comfort. These moments create and provoke memories of our past – memories of laughter, tears, hopes, and fears. Have you ever had the opportunity to revisit the home you grew up in? As you walk through the front door you are hit with a flood of emotions and there is a strange connection and sense of comfort. As you enter each room memories from your life flash before you. The paint has been refreshed, some walls have been moved, and the furniture is unfamiliar, but it is still your home. In seconds you remember the laughter, tears, hopes, and fears of your childhood. Your home will always be your home. Look 360 is a glimpse into Saskatoon homes, but more so, it is a look at places where moments are turning into memories every day. At Centennial 360 we believe in creating moments that Make Life Awesome and we know the foundation of these moments start at home. As you read our third annual issue of Look 360, I hope you can connect with memories from your past and feel inspired to create new moments of awesome with the people you love. “There’s so much that we share, that it’s time we’re aware, it’s a small world after all.” Be Awesome, Charmaine Elmgren Look 360 Editor Saskatoon & Region Home Builders Association, Inc.

ELEMENTS OF AWESOME

Centennial 360

M

erriam-Webster’s dictionary defines the word home as “one’s place of residence” or “a familiar or usual setting”. Any house, building, cabin, or even hotel room can become a home because what truly makes a house a home is people. A house is simply a structure, but a home requires residency. People are the reason a home is more than just a house. Their stories and memories are displayed through the décor, furniture, and even the nicks and scratches on the walls. These are the things that make a home “a familiar or usual setting”. Just as a family is so vital to making a house a home, there are elements of a home that contribute to a family – health, safety, comfort, and beauty. Centennial 360 refers to these as “The Elements

of Awesome”. Without these elements, a home is not delivering everything that a family needs and deserves. Health, safety, comfort, and beauty are a part of basic human needs. They are components of security and self-confidence. Everyone should have the opportunity to feel secure and confident in his or her own home. There are certain things homeowners can do to ensure their home is healthy, safe, comfortable and beautiful for their family.

HEALTH Our health is one of our most prized possessions and yet it can easily be taken for granted. We can’t see the air we breathe, but we can easily be inhaling things that are not good for our lungs and bodies. Changing your furnace filter every two

to three months is a great start to improving your indoor air quality. You may also consider installing an HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilation system). HRVs trade indoor air for outdoor air to keep the air you are breathing fresh and even out temperatures in your home. Humidifiers can also improve health by preventing dry skin and reducing problems with asthma.

SAFETY Your home should be your safe place; the place where you know your family is comfortable and secure. You trust that your home has clean air and that on a -40 degree winter day it will be a safe haven from the freezing temperatures. Your furnace is essential to your family’s safety. You hardly notice your furnace until a breakdown and then it becomes one of the most important things you own. You can help prevent breakdowns by getting an annual furnace tune-up to ensure your system is running properly. You also rely on your home for safety from water and electrical issues. These can also be monitored by annual plumbing and electrical inspections. There are a lot of things going on behind the walls of your home and everyday you trust that your home will keep you warm and safe.

10

Centennial 360

COMFORT At the touch of a button we can control the temperature in our homes, flush a toilet, or wash our dishes. At the flick of a switch we can turn on lights and have clean running water. We are so fortunate to have homes that make our lives comfortable. We don’t have to worry about essentials like heat, light, and water thanks to the systems in our home. There are several advancements to products that can make your home even more comfortable for you. With programmable thermostats and touch faucets, you can customize your home to fit your lifestyle and you can take comfort in knowing your family is healthy and safe.

BEAUTY Your home is like a canvas for your artwork. While the elements of health, safety, and comfort are essential to living, it is beauty that makes us truly enjoy the other three elements. The options of products that enhance the beauty of your home are endless. Faucets and sinks are designed like sculptures and natural stone tile creates art in your home. Using your personal style, you can create an environment that is beautiful for your family, friends, and most importantly, you.

ot every renovation ends at the expected completion time – and sometimes it is the homeowner who prolongs it. Once a homeowner gets going on one project, it tends to inspire him or her to expand the renovation to other rooms in the home. When one bathroom is updated, the others just don’t fit in anymore. Each room brings new ideas and possibilities and often what started as one small renovation or update turns into a whole home makeover. Many of the homeowners who renovate with Centennial 360 have a renovation fixation – a design addiction or even obsession. The renovation process is contagious. Just like tattoos or Lay’s potato chips, once you have one, you feel compelled to have more. Warren and Karen Lucky

are some of Centennial 360’s most decorated renovation clients. They started updating their home with their ensuite bathroom in January of 2012 and exactly one year later, they booked their second Centennial 360 bathroom renovation. The main bathroom design required relocation of their laundry and, therefore, small adjustments to their basement were completed as well. Their dream ensuite gave them a sweet tooth for more. They wanted the rest of their family and guests to enjoy the main bathroom as much as they enjoyed their ensuite. The second bathroom remodel was completed in spring of 2013 and by fall of 2014 the Luckys will be enjoying a new kitchen as well. Each project inspires Warren and Karen for the next and with each renovation they fall more in love with their home.

Karen & Warren’s Custom Tiled Tub Deck in the Main Bathroom 18

Centennial 360

Centennial 360 clients, Kevin and Carla, also faced a single project that turned into a myriad of renovations. An old broken hot tub needed to be removed and the hole in the ground instigated an entire basement remodel. Everything, including the ceiling and lighting, was transformed and a new wet bar was added to the stunning recreation room. After a trip to the Bahamas, Carla was inspired by the Starbucks at the Atlantis resort to redo the basement bathroom with a wood feature wall. Knowing that the other bathrooms needed an update as well, Kevin and Carla decided to tackle two others at the same time. Their vision kept expanding and so did the renovations. Even if you think you only want to upgrade one area of your house, take a look around and don’t be afraid to dream big. Whether you do one project at a time or complete it all at once, there is always value to living in a home that is right for you and your family. Before you know it, you may be the next to develop a renovation fixation.

Find a Renovator Who Stays on Schedule

3

Coordination is a Valuable Service

4

Receive Quotes for All of Your Upgrades

During a renovation there are many different people who enter your home. You should always feel safe and comfortable in your own home so make sure the tradespeople are individuals you trust.

Subtrades allow the renovator to make excuses for the project getting off track. The fewer subtrades involved on the project, the less chance there will be for interruptions.

Does your renovator have someone who can coordinate all of the technicians and materials and keep everything on schedule? Choosing a contractor with a renovation coordinator can save you a lot of time and prevent headaches.

Kevin and Carla’s Starbucks Inspired Wood Feature Wall

As renovations progress, plans change and projects expand. It is almost inevitable that there will be upgrades along the way. Ensure your contractor is prepared to provide you with quotes for each upgrade before the work is completed. This avoids surprises and stress at the end of the process. centennial360.com

att and Paige Lofstrom first came to Centennial 360 in 2013 with hopes to build a custom home in Rosewood for their little family. After months of planning and adjusting the final custom home plans, Matt, Paige, Lawson, and their dog, Eleanor Rigby, moved into their dream home in April of 2014. Matt & Paige were very involved in the design of the home and throughout the whole process. “We enjoyed every revision of the design and looking back it’s crazy to see how the plans grew from the start to where we’re at now,” expresses Matt. The family settled quickly into their new home as they had been eagerly anticipating their possession date. The home is everything they had hoped for with a modern exterior and a timeless interior. The living room features a stunning tile fireplace mantel extending the full length of the nine foot ceilings and the kitchen has an open concept with plenty of storage and counter space. Everything was well thought out to fit their family’s lifestyle. After long contemplation, it became evident that Paige’s favourite room in the house is the kitchen. “Everything about our new kitchen is a serious upgrade from what we had before and we utilize it everyday,” says Paige. The Arctic White Columbia Cabinets and Moon Night granite countertops have a

classic, yet modern feel. Paige knew exactly what she wanted in her kitchen from the general plans of an open concept with a large island to little details like a Kitchen Aid cabinet lift. Matt had less difficulty selecting his favourite room in the house. “My favourite part of the house is definitely the garage. I finally have a place to store all of my tools and work in,” says Matt. Coming from a downtown loft, the Lofstroms are appreciating the additional space for storage and doing the things they love. Lawson, in particular, has been thoroughly enjoying their new bonus room. “It’s thirty feet from end to end of open running room. It’s a golf course, basketball court, wrestling ring, or giant fort for this two year old. He loves playing in his teepee and watching the construction in the neighbourhood through the front windows,” explains Paige. The home is a perfect fit for the Lofstroms; yet after all the elaborate plans, one of the smallest additions has been the biggest surprise. “We never considered not having air conditioning, but coming from a place without it, it has definitely been one of the most pleasant surprises,” says Paige. Sometimes it’s the little things in life that make all the difference, like a comfortable place to call home or a little breeze of air conditioning.

If You Chose Mostly B’s...

If your answers were mostly A’s, chances are good that you are quite comfortable with unique designs and are not afraid of putting a little TLC into your home to make it match your sophisticated style. Form over function. You may be drawn to the visual appeal of natural stone, as each tile has its own unique properties. The extra time and effort to maintain marble or limestone will seem small in comparison to the value of its aesthetic appeal in your home. You know with the right advice, maintaining natural stone is not as big of a deal as some would think. The beauty of natural stone far outweighs its maintenance.

If your answers were mostly B’s, congratulations - you are open to anything! There are times you love the classics, but you also see the beauty in the clean simple lines of modern design. Your choice comes down to cost, maintenance and aesthetics. You are a balanced person who can see there is room for either, but want to know the details in both choices so you make a wise decision. Where natural stone is something you find beautiful, there are porcelain tiles that you find just as interesting and this could mean a more effortless maintenance plan in the future.

Chose Mostly C’s... C IfIf You you picked mostly C’s, you, my friend, need to stick to something simple and easy!

Porcelain is a super choice for you as it is so simple to maintain after installation. There are many great choices for you, and many manufacturers have gone to great lengths to make look alike tiles if you still love the look of natural stone, but you don’t want to make commitments to maintenance down the road.

TILESTYLE

he choice between ceramic and natural stone is a common question for homeowners. Ceramic tiles are manmade products that are relatively inexpensive and are resistant to staining. Natural stone tiles, on the other hand, have a more unique look, but are also typically more expensive and more sensitive to staining than ceramics. The decision between the two types comes down to application, cost, look, and maintenance. Travertine is a popular natural stone that is polished to a smooth finish. It is less likely to absorb stains than other natural stones, making it more appropriate for kitchen and bathroom applications. Travertine is available in tumbled or honed finishes. Tumbled travertine is left in its original state and, thus, has a rustic and grainy appearance. Honed travertine is more similar to ceramic tile in appearance. Travertine is also available in a variety of shapes and sizes. The amount of iron in travertine dictates its colour and it typically has earthy tones, such as beige, gold, and red. Marble is one of the most unique natural stones

featuring dark veins that run throughout a grey or cream coloured base. No two marble tiles are exactly alike. After the tiles are sized and cut, they are polished and finished on one side to create a uniform surface and thickness. Ceramics are not as porous as natural stone, making them more resistant to staining, but they are more brittle and prone to chipping. Porcelain is a type of ceramic made with refined clay, which makes it thicker and more durable than other ceramics. Although it is not as strong as natural stone, porcelain is durable enough for flooring applications. When deciding between ceramic and natural stone, expense, application, and personal aesthetics are important factors to consider. Both types of tile have been used for thousands of years and are available in a wide assortment of shapes, sizes, and colours, including ornate mosaics. Whether you prefer the low maintenance of ceramic or the artistic look of natural stone, there are many options available to fit your tile style.

S

hould we move or should we renovate. It’s a question that lingers at many households in Saskatoon. As a homeowner, it is likely you will one day face this question. You can weigh the pros and cons over and over again, but there is rarely a simple answer. In the end, there always seems to be one item that just can’t be compromised; it’s the decisive element, the non-negotiable, the deal breaker. For many homeowners that imperative piece to the puzzle is based on location and community.

area, but for some, those benefits can never compare to the beauty of mature landscapes and a well developed community. Ron and Vicki Holmes were faced with the decision to move or renovate as their Montgomery home was finally in need of some updates. For them the decision was easy; they were not willing to part with their large yard and tight knit community. Ron and Vicki have a beautiful lot in a stunning neighbourhood and as empty nesters, it was simply time to make some improvements to the home they love.

There are so many benefits to building in a new

The renovation started as a simple faucet

replacement. Just like the knee bone is connected to the shin bone, the faucet is connected to the sink which is connected to the counter which is connected to the cabinets, the floor, and the list goes on. What started out as a discussion of a faucet turned into a full renovation by Centennial 360 including a new kitchen, an updated powder room, replacement of the main level flooring, and even a new front door. Although this wasn’t the scale of project they initially had in mind, it was the perfect solution for Ron and Vicki. They accompanied their interior renovation with a new yard plan to create the perfect living space for their lifestyle. If renovating won’t give you your dream home, but you can’t imagine parting from your neighbourhood, there is yet another option for you. Infill builds have become increasingly popular in Saskatoon over the last ten years as the city has expanded. So much so, that Saskatoon city

council approved a new infill strategy in 2013 with a goal of increasing residency inside of Circle Drive by 75,000 people. The Star Phoenix reported that since 2003, 21% of Saskatoon’s growth has come from infills in comparison to 5% between 1991 and 2001. Over the past three years, Centennial 360 has completed several infill builds and has seen a rise in interest for these kinds of projects. Owning land in Saskatoon is a valuable investment and if you have a property that needs more than a basic remodel, rebuilding on that lot may be your best option. It gives you the best of both worlds – your dream home in the neighbourhood you’ve grown to love. How do you know if you should renovate like Ron and Vicki or start from scratch with a new build? Start by asking yourselves a few questions and then explore your options. Your home is not only a financial investment, but it’s also an investment in your happiness. What will bring you the most joy and create the most moments of awesome in your life?

he popularity of wine has never been in question, but lately there has been a surge in popularity for wine storage solutions. The old time cellars have resurged as modern day wine rooms. These rooms not only display the wine beautifully, but they also have temperature controls to store the wine in ideal conditions. Centennial 360 has seen an increase of interest for this luxurious addition and recently built one into the basement of a custom home by request of the homeowner. Saskatchewan is not well known for its wine, but it definitely has its fair share of wine drinkers. Ingredients on 2nd Ave in Saskatoon offers wine tasting and has a diverse selection of local and imported wines. Rebecca Simpson from Centennial 360 sat down with Wine Educator, Jerome Chomos, to learn a little more about selecting the perfect wine. “There are many things to consider when selecting a wine including whether or not it is for a special occasion, if you will be eating a meal with it, and of course, budget. South America and Spain have a large selection of good value wines. If you are eating food, the weight of the wine should match the weight of the food,” Jerome explained. Whether you are a beginner drinker or a wine connoisseur, Ingredients can help find the best selection for your wine time.

A

s Canadians, we face increasing time demands that take away from our ability to truly enjoy leisure time. In Brigid Schulte’s book “Overwhelmed: Work, Love and Play When No One Has the Time”, she refers to this as “time sickness”. According to Schulte, our culture promotes busyness that leads to “contaminated time” – time that is consumed with thinking and progress. The Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology released the Canadian Physical Activity Guidelines in early 2014 and recommends that adults aged eighteen to sixty four should strive for at least 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise per week. That works out to thirty minutes, five days per week. With today’s time demands, it is becoming increasingly

difficult to fit in this minimum requirement, even at the expense of our health. Shape Magazine predicted that the number one fitness trend in 2014 would be that “Gyms Go Digital”. People are becoming more and more aware of the exercise disparity in North America and they are trying to make efforts to improve. One of the easiest ways to increase exercise time is to find home workout solutions. In 2013, Dr. Cynthia Nave and Terry Zakreski of Saskatoon came to Centennial 360 with hopes to transform their basement into a home gym. They already had the exercise equipment, but their dark unfinished basement was not a motivating and

inviting place to spend the recommended 150 minutes of their week. Cynthia had plans for the renovation and Centennial 360 designer, Corinne Kaye, adjusted the design to make the space as functional as possible for Cynthia, Terry, and their eighteen year old daughter, Ali. Cynthia and Terry had done many renovations in the past and had been very involved in the scheduling of the job. As a physician at the Lakeview Medical Clinic, Dr. Nave did not have the time to coordinate another renovation so she enlisted the help of Centennial 360 to take care of all the details. “The hardest part of previous renovations was getting people to come. I had to do all of the coordination and I never knew when people were coming. With this

renovation, everything was taken care of and Collin (Centennial 360 renovation specialist) showed up at 8:00am everyday,” expressed Cynthia. Time is one of our most valuable resources and how we manage it is crucial to our wellbeing and happiness. Both Cynthia and Terry have demanding jobs, but as a physician, Cynthia knows the importance of a healthy lifestyle. “At the end of a long work day the last thing I want to do is leave the house again to go to the gym,” explains Cynthia. A home gym solution saves time, can be more motivating, and is more comfortable. “At home you don’t have to put on makeup to go to the gym,” adds Cynthia.

affected our ability to eat healthy. Eating healthy requires time for grocery shopping and cooking: time that the average Canadian does not have. Registered Dietitian, Stephanie Cowan, says the top inhibitors of health eating are time, preparation, taste, and cost – not knowledge. “Unhealthy eating is often not due to a lack of education. It requires sacrifices to time, money, and effort,” Stephanie explains. Meal planning is one way people can make healthier choices and be prepared for their busy week. “Meal planning eliminates decision making at meal time. You already have the fresh groceries so it just makes life easier,” says Cowan. People are constantly looking for healthy on the go eating solutions. Lack of time not only affects our availability to exercise, but also our ability to eat healthy. SMALL TIPS ON EATING HEALTHY AT HOME from Stephanie Cowan, Registered Dietitian

Have Ready Prepared Fresh Foods

Ready prepared foods make healthy eating an easier choice. Even frozen vegetables are a great solution.

Do Meal Planning at the Start of Every Week

Make meal planning part of your weekend routine and you will be set to go for the rest of the week.

Use Slow Cookers

Slow cookers allow you to make nutritious and tasty meals that are ready to eat when you come home from work.

Take Time to Pack Healthy Lunches

The less you eat out, the more opportunity you have to make healthy eating choices.

Sit Down at Meal Time

If you sit down for meals, you will pay more attention to portion sizes and listen to hunger cues notifying you when you are satisfied.

Put Multiple Vegetables on the Table People tend to put some of everything on their plate. If you have more vegetable options on the table, you are more likely to fill your plate with vegetables.

Shop the Perimeter of the Grocery Store

Fresh foods are on the edges of the grocery store. Fill your cart with foods from the perimeter and you are more likely to make healthy choices.

Smart HOME

hese days it seems like everything comes in a smart version. From phones to stoves and children’s toys, we are surrounded by digital products. According to Forbes.com, e-books make up 30% of all book sales. Although some people are resistant to the siege of technology, these smart devices are creating endless possibilities in product development. In Back to the Future 2, Michael J. Fox, as Marty McFly, travels into the future: October 21, 2015. While we don’t own flying cars and travel with hover boards as the movie predicted, aside from modes of transportation, they certainly underestimated the advancements of technology in 2015. In the movie, you don’t

see people walking around with cell phones attached to their hand and the 1980’s sunglass style headsets they wear are no match for today’s blue tooth technology or Google Glass. New technologically advanced products of every kind are rapidly being released and products for the home are no exception. Centennial 360 service technicians, Kyle Peters and Paul Trimble, are constantly trying to keep up with technology in the home services industry. As journeyman plumbers, Kyle and Paul want to deliver the best options for their clients which requires a lot of knowledge on the products that centennial360.com

are available. “There are a lot of advancements in home products that not only make life a little easier for homeowners, but also add safety and security,” says Paul. One of the newest products that has quickly become the talk of the trades is the Honeywell Lyric thermostat. Not only does it look futuristic, but it also functions in ways beyond what the average homeowner could imagine. The Lyric syncs to your smart phone so you can control temperatures via wifi from anywhere in the world. If you are skipping the dreaded Saskatchewan February this year and heading to Phoenix, you can be rest assured that the Lyric thermostat will help keep your home safe. If the temperature or humidity drops below a certain level, you will be alerted on your phone and the Lyric can even be set to contact your local home service provider. Most insurance policies require you to have someone check on your home every 24 hours if you are leaving your house vacant for an extended period of time in the winter. However, if you have a low temperature sensor in your home security system or a thermostat like the Lyric that will send alerts when temperatures drop, that is sufficient for insurance purposes. If you’re not one of the fortunate ones who can skip the bitter winter, there are still multiple benefits of the Lyric. The thermostat features Geo-fencing

Will your thermostat welcome you home with a warm embrace?

KYLE’SPICK “My Smart Pick is the Moen ioDIGITAL Shower Control. This system allows you to create four separate pre-sets in your shower for temperature and pressure control. An LED light flashes until the water has reached your desired settings and the shower can be turned on or off using a remote control from up to thirty feet away. As a father, this would be a handy tool to ensure the bath water is a safe and consistent temperature for my young children.”

which is a radial compass of your phone relative to the thermostat. As soon as all programmed phones go beyond a pre-set distance to your home, the Lyric will automatically drop the temperature to your away setting. When you return to the Geofencing area, the thermostat kicks back in and raises the temperature for your arrival home. Honeywell also has a home security system with similar qualities to the Lyric thermostat. “These products are especially great for people who travel or who live alone. It provides added security and energy savings,” explains Kyle. Kyle also has been following the product development of LED light bulbs. “Philips has released a personal wireless lighting product called Hue. Hue bulbs can go into any regular socket and a wifi device is plugged in to communicate with the bulbs. You can turn them on or off with your phone and can even change their colour,” says Kyle. You can program the app on your phone to customize lighting for any mood or event. Paul added that these lights would be a great effect for your next Halloween or Riders party. With all of the new gadgets available to us, there is some concern about how we will keep track of it all, how many breakdowns there will be, and even how we will ever find all of our remote controls. Control 4 system, they can design a package for you that can control your audio visual equipment, thermostat, irrigation system, lights, blinds, security system, and so much more, all on one device. As long as you have an internet connection, you can access all your automated systems by your phone, computer, or iPad. “Control 4 is the best value for an automated system that can do anything at any budget. You can start small and add anytime you want. It’s not just for the Jones’s,” explains Sean Sullivan of SuRe. Home automation is not only for fun and convenience, but also for safety. The system can send you alerts via text message if something is not right in your home. It can also mimic the usage patterns of your home in the last two weeks to make your house look occupied while you are on vacation. “Some people use home automation to monitor their elderly parents. Wireless motion sensors can detect if there has been an abnormal length of time without movement in a room and they will alert the appropriate person to check on their loved ones,” says Sean. Home automation can also provide independence and freedom. “We installed a system for an individual with MS who had lost mobility. With the Control 4 system she is now able to turn on the lights and change the temperature on her own. If the doorbell rings she can check the screen to see who is at the door and unlock it for them at the touch of a button,” says Sean. Although technology is moving too fast for us to keep up, there are so many life changing products available that can enhance our health, safety,

comfort, and beauty. “I’ve seen these systems give so much enjoyment and happiness to families, and that is why I do what I do,” expresses Sean. So what’s next for your smart home? Expect automated versions of almost everything. Your smart phone is becoming smarter by the day, but until we can take a ride in Dr. Emmett Brown’s DeLorean, we will just have to wait and see.

PAUL’SPICK “My Smart Pick is smart irrigation systems. Rain Bird offers an ESP-SMTe series smart irrigation control system which has a weather sensor to determine when it needs to water the lawn or not. The sprinklers automatically turn on and off according to the weather. Cyber Rain offers smart irrigation that is one step up from the Rain Bird system. It is connected to wifi and can be controlled by your PC or iPhone.”

Be Awesome

“I will never understand all the good that a simple smile can accomplish.” - Mother Theresa You were made to be awesome. Everyday you have the opportunity to “inspire awe” and it all starts with a smile. And you were born to smile. In fact, 3D ultrasounds prove that babies start smiling in the womb. What good does smiling do? A simple smile actually increases life expectancy. In a study of baseball cards predating 1950, analysts discovered that the span of the athlete’s smile was relative to the span of his life – the bigger the smile, the longer he lived. It has also been determined that smiling is contagious. It is very difficult to frown while looking at someone else who is smiling. By simply doing what you were born to do, you have the ability to make someone smile and to, therefore, increase the length of his or her life; that is truly awesome. In the words of Kid President, “You’re awake; you’re awesome; live like it.”
