Centers Health Care launches CentersCares 2023
A leader in the healthcare community, Centers Health Care is giving back to the communities it serves, making a $2,700 donation to charities in six regions in all. In each region, Centers has selected several charities, and members of each community will have the opportunity to make their voice heard, voting for the nonprofit in their region to receive a healthy donation from Centers Health Care.

Let’s give thanks. This is a season of giving thanks and giving gifts. In November, we not only celebrate Thanksgiving with family, friends, food and football, we also honor the veterans who have served our country. In December, we celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanza, sharing gifts with our loved ones. Here at Centers Health Care, we have many reasons to celebrate. But it’s also a good time to reflect— and to remember why we are here. Our residents. We have a very special opportunity to give our residents help, hope, care and compassion. At the same time, however, they give us so much in return. As we help them get stronger, their determination gives us strength. As we inspire them to live healthier, more fulfilling lives, their example inspires us. Let’s give thanks. Let’s give of ourselves. Let’s count our blessings.

Let’s talk turkey
At Rochester Center, Thanksgiving begins with a C. Cookies, cocoa, coffee and karaoke (ok, that’s a K, but close enough) we’re all on the menu. It turns out the residents and staff can all carry a tune.
Dressed for Success
Centers Health Care held a Halloween contest and it was game on! Winner of the best costumes category? Hammonton Center took the cake (serving cupcakes, that is) with Batman and Batgirl, the Joker and Poison Ivy, and more!
Attention!
Glens Falls Center pulled out all the stops to honor their veterans on Veterans Day. There was a lunch catered by Olive Garden, a cake with white frosting, strawberry bars and blueberry stars to represent the red, white and blue. It was a spectacular salute!
The art of fun
Schenectady Center’s first Holiday Artisan/Craft Fair was a wildly successful event! Residents, family members and staff kept the Recreation Team and Vendors hopping all day long! Holiday music, laughter and conversation filled the air.
Creamy and crunchy
November is National Peanut Butter Lovers Month. Who knew? The folks at Richmond Center did—and they celebrated in style. It was a day to remember as they all spread the news and spread the love!
Pushing all the right buttons
November 16. Veterans Day is over. Thanksgiving is coming up. What’s there to celebrate on the 16th. Amsterdam Nursing Home has found the answer: It’s National Button Day, and it brought out the residents’ creativity. It was on the button!
