Legends in the Making
For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began, Centers Health Care returned to the Venetian in Garfield, New Jersey, for a company-wide event. The theme was Legends, as Centers honored team-members who have gone above and beyond to care for the residents they serve. They are legends.
Kenny’s Corner
The heart of summer
What is summer? It’s warmth, sunshine, backyard barbecues and days at the beach. It’s also a time to reconnect with our friends—which is exactly what we do here at Centers Health Care. We send out a fleet of ice cream and donut trucks, coffee and hot dog carts, to our community hospitals. Just as we invite our neighbors to partake in our BBQ, so Centers Health Care invites our partners in health care to enjoy a summer treat. It’s our way of showing our appreciation and reinforcing our connections.
Let’s enjoy this wonderful season under the sun. Let’s share the warmth with our friends in healthcare. And don’t forget: Spend some time at the beach.
Kenny Rozenberg CEO, Centers Health CareCrowning achievement
In England, King Charles is crowned. In Buffalo, at Ellicott Center, residents mark the occasion by painting the Union Jack on coffee mugs. Cheers…and cheerio!
Mom is the bomb
Happy Mother’s Day! Rochester Center celebrated with “Mom-mosas” and cookies for their Mother’s Day social and residents were treated to music and manicures afterwards. They nailed it!
Green thumbs
At Glens Falls Center residents enjoyed planting a vegetable and flower garden. This summer they’ll enjoy some beautiful blooms while dining on healthy homegrown salads. Keep growing!
Nurses rock!
Hammonton Center pulled out all the stops to celebrate National Nurses Week. Pizza and wings, gift bags and a day to honor Florence Nightingale. These true heroes are truly special!
Away we go!
Residents at Topeka Center took flight for distant lands, making a virtual visit to Iceland. They took a guided tour of volcanoes, geysers, hot springs, lava fields, and massive glaciers. Bon voyage!
Fun and games
Did you know: Playing stimulates brain areas that are responsible for memory formation and complex thought processes for all ages. Engaging in play assists in practicing essential cognitive skills, such as decision making, higher level strategic thinking, and problem solving? Triboro Center took the brain to heart…on game day.
May 14 – 20 was National Skilled Nursing Care Week
At Centers Health Care, Cultivating Kindness is more than a theme. It’s a mission and a promise. It’s what happens every day in our 45 skilled nursing facilities in two states. Cultivating kindness in every action we take, every room we enter, every community we serve. And we celebrated it in style, as well.
