Centers Health Care marks its 25th anniversary: an extraordinary experience

Over the course of 2021, Centers Health Care will celebrate the experience and expertise that the company has acquired over the course of 25 years. “Over the last quarter century,” Centers Health Care CEO Kenny Rozenberg says, “we have gained the kind of

experience in post-acute healthcare that is unmatched in the industry. I am proud and honored to celebrate the 25th anniversary—and look forward to moving forward, leading the way for the next 25 years.”

Kenny’s Corner

Goodbye 2020. Hello 2021. I suspect that we are all of us happy to say “so long” to 2020. Certainly, the year has been marked by great challenges and moments of darkness. But at Centers Health Care, it has also been a year of great accomplishments, and before we shut the door on 2020, it is important to recognize what we as a company have achieved over the last 365 days. The Cardiac Unit at Beth Abraham Center became the first in New York to be recognized by the American Heart Association. Our GO Rehab Program continued to rank in the top 5% nationwide for successful rehabilitations. And we opened the doors at Brooklyn Center, the most innovative and amazing new post-acute facility in the country. These are just a few of our accomplishments, but to my mind the most significant is how we as a company—and you as healthcare workers—responded to the pandemic. Let’s put 2020 behind us, but let’s never forget the heroes in our midst. That is the memory we should carry forward into 2021—a year which promises great things as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of this great company. Thank you for being a part of it—and for all you do to make it great.

My Centers Success Story

Esperanza Gallegos Fernandez Patient, Martine Center I have diabetes, and as my condition worsened I had to have half of my leg amputated. My situation is complicated by my asthma. To make matters even worse, I’m from Spain, and I don’t speak a word of English. How would I ever be able to rehab if I couldn’t understand my therapists? Answer: Martine Center. The facility has Spanish-speaking staff, and they were always there to help take care of me. I don’t need to speak English to realize that the therapists at Martine Center are amazing. I could feel myself getting stronger every day. And, by the way, my room is beautiful and contemporary. I’ll have my prosthetics soon, which means I’ll be able to walk on my own. Maybe I’ll run a marathon! So, I have two words for the team at Martine Center: Muchas gracias.
