Keep on Truckin’

It’s summer, the heat is on, and that means the Centers fleet of treats—ice cream and donut trucks—are on the road again.

They’re rolling out to deliver tasty tokens of Centers Health Care’s appreciation to our healthcare hero partners at hospitals in our communities.

A Healthy Partnership

Steuben Center and Corning Center are partnering with Guthrie— the first branded partnership between Centers Health Care and a major hospital system. Designed to improve quality of care, the program begins with pulmonology and will soon expand to include other specialties such as cardiology, nephrology, and telehealth.

Kenny’s Corner

This year, we have a real cause for celebration! Every year at this time, I find myself moved to reflect on the significance and celebrations surrounding July 4th. This year, the celebration of America’s Independence Day takes on an even greater meaning. As we all know, last year’s observance of the holiday was muted at best. The pandemic put a damper on the party. Firework displays were restricted and, in many cases, canceled. BBQ’s were small affairs involving only immediate family. But this year we have even more reason to celebrate. Nearly half the population has been fully vaccinated with many more rolling up their sleeves every day. The country is opening up, and this year the skies in small towns and large cities will light up with fireworks. Here at Centers, residents will once again enjoy visits from loved ones. So, yes, let’s celebrate with barbecues, parades and pyrotechnics. But let’s also celebrate the embrace of family and friends. Let freedom ring.
