The Italian event turns 73 editions and it is considered as the most prestigious of the sector. 518 brands will present their collections for the Spring-Summer season 2012. Forty percent of the exhibitors are foreign, while sixty percent left come from Italy. The summer edition of Pitti Bimbo expects to have a total of 11.000 visitors mainly from Spain, Germany, Russia, France, Belgium, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Greece, Turkey, Japan, U.S.A, South Korea, Austria, Ukraine and Switzerland. The eight sections of the children’s fashion fair 2011 are: Pitti Bimbo, Sport Generation, New View, Kids’ Design, SuperStreet, EcoEthic, Apartment and Pop Up Stores. Promotional booth CFE Children’s Fashion Europe will count again with a promotional booth to attend its members and other companies interested in joining the European association of children’s fashion and childcare products. It will also announce the European projects developed, the Leonardo project braM (www.brandfashionmanager.eu) and Design 4 Children (www.design4children.eu), the new project in China, and it will contact with news stakeholders. CFE will be available on the ground floor of main pavilion (padiglione centrale) of the fair.

New Project of Children’s Fashion Europe in Shanghai Children’s Fashion Europe will count with an office in Shanghai. From July 2011 to late December our association will carry out a market study in the Chinese city with the aim of boosting and promote the presence of our partners in the Asian Market. The first commercial action already confirmed is the participation of CFE with a promotional booth at the Children Baby Maternity Products Expo, CBM Expo (www.cbmexpo.com/en/index.as), that will be held in Shanghai from 20 to 22 July. This is the continuation of the work already made by Children’s Fashion Europe in 2010, when we did a survey mission visiting the cities of Shanghai, Hong Kong and Macau. From this visit were drawn interesting conclusions about the attractiveness of the Chinese market for European companies due to the growing concern of parents for their children’s care and because of the increase of the population of middle and upper middle purchasing power. Shortly we will inform you about all the details of this Project, which we hope will be interesting for you. In any case if you wish to have more information about it, please contact: EUROPEAN NEWSLETTER – 6
