9th edition of the CPM KIDS CATWALK - And the participants are… Children’s Fashion Europe is organizing once more the fashion CPM Kids Catwalk, which takes place during the celebration of the International Exhibition Collection Première Moscow. From the 21st to the 24th of February 2011, the Russian capital hosts the ninth edition of this catwalk, where Blue Seven, Barcarola, Bóboli, Cóndor, Gakkard, Käthe Kruse, Mayoral, Pampolina and Special Day are the ones in charge of showing their Autumn/Winter 2011/12 collections. About this new edition, Christian Kasch said: “The interest taken in the Russian market by foreign brands has grown significantly, not least due to the again higher corporate morale in the country. Many exhibitors will enlarge their stand floor space. Add to this the first-time exhibitors keen to benefit from the positive mood in the Russian apparel trade,” and adds: “To be able to offer our customers these extension options we have optimized the “neighborhoods” and have, more specifically, re-arranged some of the country pavilions. Which is why we are now in a position to present trade visitors in February even more comprehensive fashion ranges than before.” The CPM Catwalk will move to the attractive and more spacious Hall 8.3 where visitors can draw on live inspirations from the latest 2011/12 Autumn/Winter collections staged in the “CPM Style & Premium” and “CPM Kids” Shows. Collection Première Istanbul After the successful start of cpi in August 2010, ITKIB, together with consultancy of IGEDO Company, is in full progress of preparing the next cpi from February 2 to 4, 2011. ITKIB has aimed to organize cpi to respond to a need that has resulted from conjuncture changes in international fashion trade shows. Istanbul has established, within the recent years, an important hub between the commonwealth of independent states such as Kazakhstan, but also the Near Eastern region from Iran and the Middle East to the African countries. Istanbul, with its strategic location, attracts buyers from all over the world all over the year. The new concentrated platform cpi pools the purchase fashion strengths for international buyers.
New collaboration between CPI and 4 associations of the fashion sector in Istanbul The CPI "Committee" has now been extended to include associations that play a prominent role in Istanbul. Indeed, they will be cooperating with 4 important Employer Associations as MESIAD- Employer Association for Merter region, LASIAD- Employer Association for Laleli region and OTIAD - Employer Association for Osmanbey region in Istanbul, and TGSD Turkish Clothing Manufacturers Association. In cooperation with these four most important Associations headquartered in centres for the fashion business in Istanbul, CPI will selectively and jointly invite visitors from these areas to visit the fair. BREAD & BUTTER YOUNGSTARS : The new international kidswear platform of BREAD & BUTTER In January 2011, BUTTER BERLIN will be taking place without the KIDS CAMP. Indeed, following a very successful premiere of the B&B KIDS CAMP, integrated into B&B in summer 2010, the 2011 winter edition of the B&B KIDS CAMP was cancelled due to a weak response from exhibitors. The organisers were unable to avoid the overlap with existing kidswear trade fair dates. But at the beginning of December, Karl-Heinz Müller, managing director of BREAD & BUTTER GmbH, invited about 30 business opinion leaders like representatives from international denim and urban wear brands, agents of children apparel, as well as buyers and retailers, in order to work out a new concept. He now has new plans: an independent, separate tradeshow for kidswear, taking place after the weekend of Bread & butter. It should be called ‘Bread & butter Youngstars’ and will be launched July 1517, 2011, right after the summer issue. The concept of BREAD & BUTTER YOUNGSTARS was welcomed and extremely well received by all participants of the discussion panel of the sector. This is the right signal to for BREAD & BUTTER to position the kidswear segment both internationally and in Berlin with B&B YOUNGSTARS. The premiere of BREAD & BUTTER YOUNGSTARS will take place from Friday to Sunday, 15 – 17 July 2011 (BREAD & BUTTER: Wednesday to Friday, 6 – 8 July 2011).
