Tips from the WFRC: Reset Your Energy –

Recharge Your Mental Wellbeing

Begin with gratitude

Start your day with a grateful heart

Reflect at the end of the day by writing down or acknowledging three things you were grateful for that day

How do you show gratitude to others? Be intentional, make a phone call, write a letter

Tackle your To-Do-List with calm

Take a breath

Our to-do lists are always there, and they only get longer when we’re stressed out and get overwhelmed

Break down tasks into smaller, more achievable, steps

Maintain SMART goals – specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, time-based

Who can you ask for support, guidance, and/or help

Just START

Set a small goal to accomplish by the end of the month

Before the end of the month, set next month’s goal

Crush it!

Balance

Find balance in your schedule

What are your priorities?

Make time for what is important to you

Stay Charged

Keep hydrated

Prioritize rest

Make healthy food choices

Keep up with your physicals and routines (schedule that appointment)

Take a step back when you need to

Reflect

Decide what to let go of – commitments, unhealthy habits, relationships, things that don’t bring you joy or that disrupt your balance

Declutter – home, social media feeds, newsletters, email, etc

Unsubscribe to things that fill you with stress and anxiety

Ask yourself if you have treated yourself with respect

Review your accomplishments of the past year

Review your productivity and time management

Living Out CFFs EDI Culture: Engaging in Civic Engagement

Living out CFF’s EDI culture and engaging in Civic engagement, Zashonna “Shonna” Gillis and Maria Olvera completed a training with Community Legal Aid Society and served as Accessibility Inspectors on Election Day, working on behalf of people living with physical disabilities. They inspected polling places and ensured accessibility. There were 50 inspectors statewide (with Shonna and Maria being two of them) and all 50 covered 91% of the polling places in our state. There is a great article about this initiative here: Delaware poll accessibility improved for voters with disabilities - Spotlight Delaware
