Fall into Wellness: Letting Go and Thriving this Season

As the seasons change, nature reminds us of the importance of letting go.

Think of the leaves that fall as we approach the winter months. Before they separate and gently fall to the ground, trees gather all the nutrients they need to survive the colder, darker days ahead. Without enough sunlight, the leaves wouldn’t be able to thrive through the winter, so the trees release them to protect their health.

We can also take inspiration from this process Sometimes, we carry burdens stress, expectations, or responsibilities that no longer serve us Like the trees that let go of their leaves, we too can release what’s weighing us down to protect our mental health and well-being While a little stress can motivate us, ongoing and unrelieved stress can affect our emotions, immune system, and overall outlook

In serving children and families, we recognize how important it is to nurture resilience and create supportive environments So, as the leaves fall this season, ask yourself: What do you need to let go of to protect your well-being? And what can you bring into your life to help you thrive? Here are a few ideas to help get you started

Practice Gratitude Daily: Gratitude isn’t just for Thanksgiving it can improve your mental and physical well-being year-round, supporting better sleep, lowering blood pressure, and boosting alertness.

Connect with Nature: Fall’s cooler weather is perfect for spending time outdoors. Take a mindful walk, noticing the seasonal changes in nature. If you have young children, gather leaves and other items for a fun, creative collage

Reflect and Journal: Consider what burdens you can let go of as you enter the new season Also, reflect on what brings you joy and how you can incorporate more of that into your life

Room and Vehicle Reservations

This is a friendly reminder regarding room and vehicle reservations. Recently there has been conflicts with reservations, where multiple people claim to have reserved the same space at the same time

If you receive an email stating that your request was declined due to conflicts, it means that the resource you requested has already been reserved by someone else for the same time period. In other words, the space is not available.

In case of any conflicts, please provide the email stating that your reservation was accepted as proof that the space was reserved by you for that time period

Please be considerate of your fellow co-workers when reserving space.
