Rochester Wins 2020 All-America City Award Rochester has been named a 2020 All-American City by the National Civic League (NCL). The title was awarded yesterday evening following a three-day virtual competition with other communities from across the country. The All-America City Award was established by the NCL in 1949 to recognize and celebrate the best examples of civic innovation in America. Cities and towns throughout the nation are invited to submit applications to vie for the title, showcasing three projects that exemplify how a commitment to collaboration, civic engagement, innovation and inclusiveness has helped to address local issues and enhance their communities. Approximately 20 finalists are chosen to compete and ten winners are ultimately selected from this group. “I am so proud of our city, and I want to express my appreciation to the National Civic League for selecting Rochester as an All-America City,” said Mayor Lovely A. Warren. “We are extremely fortunate to live in a community that consistently works together for the greater good of all of our residents."
hink about this. Fritz Pollard was the first Black owner of a professional football team in 1920 and it took 100 years for Black people to gain an NFL Team President. That’s very sad but true and only systematic racism can be attributed for taking so long. Fast forward to 2020. Jason Wright, 38, returned to his football roots last week in an unprecedented manner, becoming the first person of color to hold the title of Team President of an NFL franchise w h e n Washington owner Dan Snyder announced his hiring. Wright is an excellent choice that is overly qualified with his impeccable credentials. It’s obviously a last-ditch effort by owner Snyder to keep the team. Keep in mind Jason Wright's consulting firm is located right in Washington D.C. He’s been in the same city for many years yet did not get a call until the team and ownership got in serious trouble causing a possible ownership change. Rome is burning and Wright finally got a call for job that was held by Bruce Allen, who’s only true skill is being former Head Coach George Allen's son. That’s White Privilege at its best, it matters more who your daddy is rather then having a true skill set for the job. The Washington Football franchise has been a losing franchise for almost all of Daniel Snyder’s ownership after a very successful run by previous owner Jack Kent Cooke. Wright will be in charge of all business activities, and Head Coach Ron Riviera will handle football operations. My next question

Niagara Falls Honors Legacy of Spider Martin Niagara Falls Mayor Robert M. Restaino led a ceremony officially renaming the intersection of Ontario Avenue and Main Street John “Spider” Martin Way in honor of the late, great jazz tenor saxophonist July 31. Spider often played with his brother, another jazz legend, upright bassist James “Pappy” Martin and fellow Falls native pianist Bobby Jones. He also played with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Ahmad Jamal, Aretha Franklin, Ruth Brown, Wilson Pickett and Jimmy McGriff. Among those on hand for the honor was Martin’s brother Kenny Martin, Martin’s sister Daisy Lewis and a friend, Charles Reedy. A beautiful, massive mural/ tribute to Spider by renowned artist Edreys Wajed ( part of the NF Mural Project above) is located on the Heritage Wall not too far from John “Spider” Martin Way at the intersection of Depot Street across from the train station and the Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center. hen three talented female realtors - Jamia “Mia” Mootry, Tamika Murphy and Rosalind Burgin - decided to come together and form their own women and minorityowned real estate company - The MMB Realty Group they did so with one thing in mind: successfully meeting the needs of their clients. Well aware of the housing disparity gap in Black home ownership locally and nationally, to them real estate is not just as another business transaction. A recent article shared the encouraging news that millennials are embracing home ownership in record numbers. However MMB Realty believes that this increase can and should include African Americans and females as well. According to Antoine Thompson, Executive director of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB),Metro Buffalo Home ownership stands at 73.5% White and 32.7% Black (Prosperity Now). In 2019, locally some 19,792 mortgages went to Whites and only 900 mortgages went to African Americans (Compliance Tech). In helping to bridge the gap, “we focus on educating clients in the home-buying procedure,” said Ms. Burgin, “especially first time home buyers.” As a team, she continued, the agency provides buyers with knowledge and information to navigate the process and help them get cred-

it, thus reducing the fears of acquiring a mortgage. “Our belief is that there is no reason why a person working every day, cannot own a home…. we find there are a lot of our people who are working and paying exorbitant amounts of rent to live in substandard housing. And in WNY you can be a homeowner for what you’re paying for rent in most cases!” “As realtors we have observed how purchasing a home not only elevates personal outlooks but serves as a foundation for individual and generational wealth,” added Tamika. “And as African Americans and women we understand the dreams and obstacles that minorities and women experience in becoming a homeowner or investing in real estate," commented Jamia, “but we also know how many achieve happiness and success.” Research has indeed shown that homeownership is a proven way most families build wealth in this country. “…We have seen how a new home has changed lives. What an empowering life event that can inspire future generations,” stated Ms. Mootry Added Ms. Murphy,“We have all seen the happy faces of young children as they enter their new homes with their parents. It’s life changing!” MMB Agency also focuses on assisting seniors
with their real estate needs including downsizing to the perfect home or finding that perfect starter home that they may wish to gift to a family member. Whether its buying or selling, Jamia, Tamika, and Rosalind are committed to providing each client a customized and quality real estate experience. “We are one team. One vision. One mission. March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom
The March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, also known as the March on Washington or The Great March on Washington, was held in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, August 28, 1963. The purpose of the march was to advocate for the civil and economic rights of African Americans. At the march, Martin Luther King Jr., standing in front of the Lincoln Memorial, delivered his historic "I Have a Dream" speech in which he called for an end to racism. The march was organized by A. Philip Randolph and Bayard Rustin, who built an alliance of civil rights, labor, and religious organizations that came together under the banner of "jobs and freedom." Estimates of the number of participants varied from 200,000 to 300,000, but the most widely cited estimate is 250,000 people. Observers estimated that 75–80% of the marchers were Black. The march was one of the largest political rallies for human rights in United States history. Covid-19 Up in WNY: Major Insurance Companies Won’t Pay for COVID Testing Western New York’s Covid-19 daily infection rate climbed to nearly 2% last Saturday after hovering around 1% for most of the summer. Gov. Como announced in Erie County and four surrounding counties, 1.8% of the people tested recently were positive. No other region of the state had a positive test rate above 0.8% at that time. It has been reported that as of September 1 none of Western New York’s three major health insurance companies will no longer pay for COVID -19 testing. Free return-to-work testing is still available in Erie County at eight sites run by the state and county departments of health such as the site in the Cobblestone District. Dr. Myron Glick, the founder and CEO of Jericho Road Community Health Center, said that's not enough and that insurance policy change will hurt his clinic’s testing program, which has tested more than 9,000 people and relied on insurance to cover fees charged by private labs. He said that Jericho Road - which provides quality medical care to the mostly underserved and immigrant communities - will be lobbying local insurers to reconsider the policy.

Demetrius 'DJ SHAY' Robinson: Well Loved and Highly Respected Music Producer
D
emetrius Chawton Robinson, known to the community as DJ Shay, who worked closely with local artists as well as Griselda Records and the Black Soprano family, lost his life to COVID-19 complications that he was diagnosed with this summer. Coming from a family of musicians including being the grandson of the late “Count Rabbit” a member
of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame, it was inevitable that Robinson would find his way at an early age to the artform, starting with DJ’ing and eventually finding his way to making beats and producing music. In the 90’s he worked with the Brotherhood Nation and in the same decade founded Buff City Record label that to the benefit of local artists had a 24 hour recording
studio where he produced countless mixtapes. By the end of that same decade he released a series of albums called “Unsigned City” featuring the dynamic skills of local artists. In the 2000’s he began his journey with homegrown talent and now internationally known hip hop artists Benny the Butcher ,Conway the Machine and Westside Gunn, producing, managing and recording with them eventually getting them signed to major music labels. . There was a recent outpouring of love and respect from the Buffalo hip-hop community and from artists he worked closely with who took to social media to express their appreciation for this great producer -West Side Gunn credited Shay for his success in an Instagram post on August 19. “U was there EVERY step of the way, It was an honor to help your dream come true for Buffalo Hip-Hop. U looked at me and said ‘thx to you it’s no more Unsigned city… it’s signed city now.” -Benny the Butcher also expressed his sorrow. “This hurt right here. This was my mentor-coach-fatherfigure... all that... I feel like somebody stole something from me.” -Conway the Machine posted “ He was pullin' the greatness up outta us that we didn’t even see in ourselves. DJ Shay I love u big brother …” -DJ T Jizzle who at an early age began working with this great producer noted “My father went to DJ Shay for lessons and Shay took me under his Wing.. Shay believed in all of us…” DJ Shay was 48. We send our deepest condolences to his friends family loved ones. May his music and legacy live on.

Chairwoman April Baskin Committed to Celebrating Women of Color Erie County Legislature Chairwoman April N.M. Baskin was selected as an At-Large Delegate to the virtual Democratic National Convention which was held in Milwaukee from August 17th through August 20th. D u r ing this historic event, she cast her vote for Democratic nominee, former Legislator Baskin Vice President Joe Biden, and his chosen running mate, Senator Kamala Harris of California, to become the 46th President and Vice President of the United States of America. Senator Harris is the first woman of color to be the vice presidential nominee on a major party Presidential ticket. “I was thrilled and ecstatic to have been given this opportunity to support Vice President Biden and Sena-
tor Harris in an official capacity at the DNC this year. While I regret we could not all be together on the voting floor, safely casting my vote from home was no less historic for me. As a woman of color myself who is raising a daughter, I can’t overstate how much it means to see our Democratic party reflect those I was elected to serve. Black women across America are standing proud in support of this Democratic slate, and I know this team will be the right fit to serve our country for the next four years,” stated Legislator Baskin. Baskin is also presenting a proclamation to the cofounders of the MMB Realty Group, a new women of color owned business that recently opened at 651 Delaware in Allentown. March On Washington 2020 To Demand Police “My Son Matters. He’s a Human Being Reform And Justice Expected To Draw and He Matters!” Thousands To DC This Weekend
Wisconsin Police Shooting Leaves Unarmed Black Man Paralyzed From the Waist Down
T
ens of thousands are expected to gather Friday, August 28 at the Lincoln Memorial to commemorate the historic 1963 civil rights March on Washington. The demonstration, taking place on the 57th anniversary of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s iconic "I Have a Dream" speech, seeks "to restore and recommit to the dream Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. defined" that year. The Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network began planning the march in partnership with the NAACP and others after he announced the event during George Floyd's funeral in June. The announcement came at the height of nationwide protests against police brutality and racial injustice spurred by the police killing of Floyd -- who died in late May after a White Minneapolis police officer knelt on the Black man's neck -and other Black Americans. pected to participate in the event. Event organizers have stressed that the march will comply with health guidance and local ordinances related to the coronavirus pandemic. It is billed as a march to demand police reform and justice and will be led by the families that “know the pain” including the families of George Floyd, Eric Garner, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Trayvon Martin and local DC families impacted by police violence. NAN will also encourage attendees to fill out the 2020 US Census, register to vote,
and sign up to be poll workers and monitors. Attendees will gather at the Lincoln Memorial at 7 a.m. ET, according to the schedule released so far. At 8 a.m. ET, a two-hour preprogram kicks off. The main program starts at 11 a.m. ET. and attendees will hear from civil rights leaders, the impacted families and community organizers. The march begins at 1 p.m. ET from the Lincoln Memorial to the MLK Memorial, with the event concluding around 3 p.m. ET. Face masks are required to march.
At one point during the press conference the father of Jacob Blake was overcome with grief. But when he was able to speak, his words were measured and to the point. Declaring to the world that his son - Jacob Blake Jr. who was shot 7 times Jacob and his three sons in the back at point blank range by police, was treated less than a human. "My son matters. He's a human being and he matters!" Protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin, took to the streets to vent their anger over the shooting of Jacob Blake in the back multiple times by police, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. Buildings and cars were set on fire and the city was placed under a state of emergency Monday amid a fresh wave of anti-police brutality and racial injustice protests. Blake, a 29-year-old father, was shot as he tried to enter his vehicle. Blake’s three young children were in the car when he was shot, the attorney representing his family said. Blake was still in intensive care at press time. Jacob's father said that his son had “eight holes” in his body. Doctors said they do not know if the younger Blake’s paralysis will be permanent. It's a miracle they say, that he did not die. Two Wisconsin police officers have been put on administrative leave as authorities investigate. The shooting comes as protesters continue to decry police violence on US streets after the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.
Billboard Blues
Billboard advertising company Lamar has come under fire after rejecting two billboards designed by Jay-Z’s Team ROC that featured the names of three people killed by the same police officer. WISN-12 News reports that the multiple members of Milwaukee’s Common Council have released a statement condemning Lamar’s decision to not run the billboards. Team ROC, the social justice division of ROC Nation, submitted two versions of the billboard to Lamar. The first read “Alvin Cole, Jay Anderson, Antonio Gonzales — they did not deserve to die. Officer Mensah must be held accountable,” while the second simply stated, “They did not deserve to die. Police officers shouldn’t murder innocent people.”
"I Can’t Breathe”: 70 Deaths in Police Custody, 70 of the Same Last 3 Words Recent research by the New York Times has found at least 70 people have died in law enforcement custody after saying the same words - “I Cant Breathe.” Ranging in age from 19 to 65, the dead included the most recent, George Floyd who earlier this year had a knee planted on his neck by police until he died, despite begging for his life. His crime - reports of passing a phony $20 bill; and Eric Garner who, in 2014 died on a New York sidewalk after police stopped him for selling untaxed cigarette and held him in a chokehold, killing him. Both legal lynching's were caught on video tape.

A Teacher’s Lesson Plan for Re-opening Schools By Jennifer Earle Strickland Part 2 or a 2-Part Series
Specials (Art, Music, Physical Ed.) – Art and Music classes must be given the same considerations as describedin in last week's classroom separation/PPE use however, P.E. has its exceptions: •Will contact sports be eliminated due to physical distancing? •Will students be required to wear PPE during P.E., even if classes are held outside? •Will asthmatic students be exempt from P.E., due to the mask requirement, and breathing difficulties that may be experienced during activities? •Will clean masks be available for all students after P.E., or will they be required to continue to wear the one that may be drenched with perspiration and bacteria from P.E. activities? Social Interaction – •Hallways – Single file, 6ft. apart; stay to the right (easy) •Lockers – Will there be sharing? If not, will there be enough, distanced, to accommodate all students’ belongings? Remember, Buffalo’s winter is coming! •Bathrooms – How often will they be cleaned and disinfected? Will there be enough custodial staff members to meet the more frequent need for bathroom maintenance? Focus 2: Teachers/Staff •Who/what conditions are teachers/staff leaving at home or taking to school? •Who is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting classrooms, multiple times, per day? •Will sufficient PPE be provided to each classroom (masks, hand sanitizer, soap, wipes, etc.), for emergency availability? •Who will, and how often, maintain the staff’s bathrooms, throughout the day, and not just when staff members call for the cleaning and disinfecting of the facilities? •How will teachers, with pre-existing health conditions, be accommodated, especially those with respiratory illnesses who find it difficult to wear masks (and speak in them) for prolonged periods, or blood pressure issues that can be detrimental due to the heightened anxiety of mask-wearing, teaching, and health concerns? •What happens if a teacher, student, anybody, coughs, sneezes, complains of a headache/bodyache, or displays any characteristic that has come to be identified with a symptom of Covid-19? What should be the response? •Will daily precautions (temperature checks, etc.) be taken as staff enters buildings? •Will new protocols be set for fire drills? Walking up/down stairwells? Use of elevators for staff and students (with passes)? •Must teachers/aides/assistants, be expected to wear PPE and remain in areas where students are eating, without PPE? •Where will teachers eat lunch, if students are assigned to eat theirs in classrooms? •How will schools/teachers know if a student, or household member has been infected, or in the presence of an infected party? •What is the amount of time that teachers are expected to be in their classrooms, wearing masks? If so, when will masks be allowed to be removed? Focus 3: Virtual Learning •Will there be training for parents/caregivers on the virtual learning process? •How will parents/caregivers be made aware that, just as it is their responsibility to send their children to school buildings, it is also their responsibility to send their children, according to schedule and on-time, to their virtual classroom? •How will training be provided, to the entire student body, on the importance of the virtual classroom, and its essential role as part, if not all, of their learning experience, and that they must come to class willing and ready to learn from this new experience? •What steps will the District’s take to ensure that its platforms, used for virtual teaching/learning must all be fully accessible, operational, and functional, when needed, and that the internet service provider must do so at the highest standard to meet the need of this massive additional network of daily users? •Will students’ daily schedules, that may include both virtual and building experiences be determined by achievement levels, attained through the 3rd marking period of the 2019-2020 school year? Who will determine the rosters and schedules? Finally, as the day began, it shall end, in reverse, with the same concerns for the walk/ride, to the place where anything could’ve transpired during the time children are in school: home, and the cycle begins again, tomorrow. Focus 4: Assessment•How often will the individual building be assessed for indicators of the presence, cessation, or absence of covid-19? What will be the assessment criteria and desired levels that deem the environment safe? •How will teachers/staff know if a colleague, or student, has been diagnosed and acknowledged such, that it is safe to return to the building?

ing a wide variety of soft tissue injuries like Josh Norman’s Hamstring pull, Ed Oliver’ hip, and Patrick DiMarco’s neck injuries. Some teams like the Denver Broncos are having a rash of injuries due to going from zero to a hundred in training camp. It’s amazing that you can have false positive tests for COVID – 19, but that is what happened on Sunday and several Bills players including QB Josh Allen were held out of practice due to the testing. That can easily change the outcome of regular season games if this occurs during the regular season. Keep in mind this can happen to every day people as well. The Bills will continue practice for most of the week and get in some live action. Bills Guard/tackle and former Carolina Panther Daryl Williams comments on the comparison between Cam Newton and Josh Allen:
“Yes, I see a lot of comparisons between the two and it makes me very excited to play with Josh in this upcoming season. The offensive assignments given to me is nothing new and l look forward to playing the games.” Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley:“It’s a lot of new verbiage and installing the entire playbook. Guys are getting it down and you’re only going to use part of the
playbook each week during the regular season. It’s good to have a large playbook, because you're never going to know what plays and sets we're going to use and that’s going to be an advantage for us against our opponents.” Follow me on FACEBOOK, Twitter: georgeradney@georgeradman, Instrgram, RADIO: 105.5 FM The Beat of Rochester Pro Talk Plus, Every Saturday morning from 7 AM – 8 AM Live Call in at 585 595 1055 Website: protalkplus.com

_____________________________
Please take notice that on the 13th day of July, 2020 the County of Erie pursuant to law, filed with the Clerk of the County of Erie a list of parcels of property affected by unpaid tax liens held and owned by the County of Erie which on such date had been due and unpaid for a period of at least two years after the date on which the unpaid tax liens were sold. Such list contains as to each such parcel (a) a brief description of the property affected by each tax lien, (b) the name of the last known owner of such property as it appears on the latest tax roll in the hands of the Director of Real Property Tax Services or a statement that the owner is unknown if such be the case, (c) a statement of such tax liens upon such parcel of property including any tax sale certificates owned by the County of Erie which shall have been due for less than two years, together with the interest and penalties due as of the list date and (d) a statement that the amount required to redeem any such parcel of property, and the amount to be recovered by the County of Erie, includes all tax sale certificates owned by the County of Erie and affecting such property, together with all interest, penalties, additions and expenses as in this act provided, and also includes an “in rem fee” of $500.00 per parcel to cover the presumptive cost to the County of Erie for reasonable and necessary attorneys’ fees, abstracts of title and other disbursements in connection with such foreclosure pursuant to law. The above-captioned proceeding was commenced to enforce the payment of delinquent taxes which have accumulated and become liens against certain property. The parcels to which this proceeding applies were identified on the List of Delinquent Taxes which was filed in the Erie County Clerk’s Office on the 13th day of July, 2020. Take further notice that the ownership by the County of the tax sale certificates set forth on the List of Delinquent Taxes is conclusive evidence of the fact that the taxes, assessments and other legal charges represented thereby have not been paid to the County. EFFECT OF FILING: All persons having or claiming to have an interest in the real property described in the List of Delinquent Taxes are hereby notified that the filing of said List constituted the commencement by the County of Erie of a proceeding in the County Court to foreclose each of the tax liens therein described by a foreclosure proceeding In Rem. Pursuant to Section 11-7.0 of the Erie County Tax Act, the filing of such List of Delinquent Taxes constitutes and has the same force and effect and is deemed to have given the same notice of such foreclosure proceeding as the filing and recording in the Erie County Clerk’s Office of an individual Notice of Pendency of a Tax Foreclosure Action and of the filing in the County Court of a separate and individual Complaint by the County of Erie against the owners of the real property proceeded against and described in the List of Delinquent Taxes. NATURE OF PROCEEDING: This proceeding is brought against the real property only and is to foreclose the tax liens described in the List of Delinquent Taxes. No personal judgment will be entered herein for such
liens/taxes or other legal charges or any part thereof. PERSONS AFFECTED: This notice is directed to all persons having or claiming to have an interest in the real property described in the List of Delinquent Taxes. Such persons are hereby notified further that a duplicate of this Petition and the List of Delinquent Taxes has been filed in the Erie County Clerk’s Office and the Office of Real Property Tax Services, and will remain open for public inspection up to and including the date specified below as the last day of redemption. RIGHT OF REDEMPTION: Any person having or claiming to have an interest in any such real property and the legal right thereto may on or before the 1st day of September, 2020 redeem the same by paying the amount of all such unpaid tax liens thereon, including all interest and penalties and other legal charges which are included in the lien against such real property, computed to and including the date of redemption. Payments shall be made to: Director of Real Property Tax Services, Rath Building, 95 Franklin Street, Buffalo, New York, 14202, by CASH, CERTIFIED CHECK, BANK CHECK or MONEY ORDER. LAST DAY OF REDEMPTION: The last day of redemption is hereby fixed as the 1st day of September, 2020. SERVICE OF ANSWER: Every person having any right, title or interest in or lien upon any parcel of real property described in the List of Delinquent Taxes may serve a duly verified Answer upon the attorney for the Tax District, as set forth below, setting forth in detail the nature and amount of his or her interest, and any defense or objection to the foreclosure. FULL MOON WATCH
“Full Corn Moon” September 2
When the Moon is full its energy is strongest. The Full Moon symbolizes imagination intuition, dreaming and represents transition and renewal. Often linked with insight as it pulls on ocean tides it pulls on our emotions. During a Full Moon it’s time to review your intentions and release any subconscious blocks. If you’ve been keeping a meditation journal, this is a great time to reflect on your thoughts and clear out any narrowing beliefs or behaviors that block your ability to manifest.
Community Drive Registers 1,000 Voters!
W
hen the Black Lives Matter/ anti-police brutality marches and protests reached a fever pitch locally, Attorney John Elmore called his friend Murray Holman of the Stop the Violence Coalition to see what they could do to bring a more positive outcome to the movement among so many passionate young people. Holeman was on the same page. With financial backing from Elmore and his law partner Steve Boyd and Holman’s organizational savvy and connections to all the anti-violence community organizations , a city-wide Voter Registration Drive was launched on July 1 on the corner of E.
Ferry and Grider. The rallies continued rain or shine every Wednesday thereafter at various locations around the city, marked by music, tee shirts ("I Vote to Make A Difference"), food, sanitizer and even census information. “We’re registering kids at 16,” Holmam said proudly. “So when they turn 18 they can vote!” Felons he said, can also register. At the end of the day last Wednesday on the corner of Main and Winspear, the Coalition had registered a total of 1,000 new voters since the initiative began! Both Holman and Elmore had praise for the dedicated community groups that joined the effort. Among them: Buffalo Peacemakers,

Back to Basics Ministries, FATHERS, MVP’S and the Y.O.U.T.H. Even two motorcycle clubs lent their support - Top Gun and the Ruff Riders. Elmore said he couldn’t think of a better cause to support than getting out the vote in this crucial election year. “This society has been more divided than I can remember in my adult life and there is a strong need for us to get out and vote,” he said. “There are so many things at issue from justice reform, to how we handle the coronavirus to health care and of course …the White house.” “This is why we’re registering people to vote,” said Murray, “because after the protests this is the stage
where we need to be - sitting at the table and leveraging the power we have. This is the second piece of the protest that says ‘Here is the solution…This is what we’re all about.’ ” Holeman said they planned to be very active in getting out the vote on election day as well. Added John: “We have to control what we can control…we can control our money and we can control our vote…” Last Sunday the dynamic duo went to register people at a Niagara Falls church, and laughed about even getting a request to come to Jamestown N.Y. “We’ll go anywhere as long as we have the support!" said Murray.

The voter registration drive was supposed to end this week, but its been extended for at least the first week in September and maybe beyond. “Our main goal is to get people registered to vote,” reiterated Murray. So far they’ve done an amazing job!
We’re planning for students to be in school two days and remote three days a week. Classes will also be available in a fully online environment. And all students will be provided with Chromebooks to use both in school and at home.

Census takers are now visiting homes to help households respond to the 2020 Census. All census takers will be wearing masks and following local safety guidelines. This is your chance to make a change, don’t miss it! It’s not too late.
