END OF YEAR MESSAGE
ECEC
DEAR ECEC FAMILIES, Season’s Greetings! As we approach the final days of this school semester, we wanted to extend our appreciation to our families who worked closely and partnered with our staff to provide our children with opportunities to

continue their remote learning in the safety of their homes as well as with the motivation and dispositions to have them participating in the extracurricular activities on campus. We truly

could not have accomplished our tasks without

the support and dedication of our parents!

To this date, there has not been any official announcement from government agencies regarding changes to the allowances for classes on campus. Therefore, we created a plan looking at two possible scenarios for when we return to our second semester in January 2021. End of Year Message - ECEC | page 01
SCENARIO 1 We created a schedule based on the policies in place at the moment where we can have 20% of our students on campus. We would increase the number of hours students will work on extracurricular activities on campus but emphasize that during these days, we will offer asynchronous activities via Remote Learning.
WEEKLY MORNING EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES (8:00 - 11:30)
WEEKLY AFTERNOON EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES (13:00 - 15:10)

SCENARIO 2 If we have legal authorization, we will continue a gradual reopening for regular curricular classes on campus in accordance with São Paulo public policies and health protocols following the governmental criteria for Phase 1 where 35% of the Student Population may return to campus. Based on our school’s Re-Entry Plan. In accordance with physical distancing protocols, we will follow the schedule outlined in the ECEC Schedule Hybrid Program with 35% of students on campus/ 65% of students in Remote Learning. We encourage all of our families to stay tuned for governmental updates and we will confirm the schedules and procedures before the beginning of our classes next semester. We appreciate your patience and understanding that we follow protocols that focus first on the safety and well being of students as we gradually return to campus. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR THIS IMPORTANT DATE IN JANUARY 2021 January 20 : Wednesday - Classes Resume in ECEC following the Remote
Learning Schedules and the Extracurricular activities days. It is important to emphasize that the Protocols for the Prevention of Covid-19 must be followed before opening school for the second semester and returning to campus. Therefore, students and/or people in their household who have any signs and/or symptoms which are associated with Covid-19, (a cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat, shortness of breath, persistent tremors and chills, muscle pain, headache, the recent loss of smell or taste, gastrointestinal disorders, and/ or decreased appetite), should remain home and inform the school. As we adopt measures for our gradual return to campus, we count on the commitment of the entire Chapel community in order to make it a success. If you travel during vacation, if you are transiting in airports and hotels, if you are in contact with people who display Covid-19 alike symptoms, please observe self-quarantine before sending your child to school at the beginning of the semester. We must keep our community safe and healthy to avoid closing classes and ensure that our campus remains open as much as possible. End of Year Message - ECEC | page 03
