Creating text within AfterEffects.
Double click the layer to select the text.
To change the anchor point press Y and reposition
Source Text allows us to change the content and the formatting of the text over time.
To animate type: Create key frames and click animate. This will come up with a list of options as shown opposite. From this point you have many options, once you have chosen which type of animation you would like to apply, another set of options are revealed, from this then animate as desired.
Range selector Allows you to chose where the text starts and ends. As shown.
By clicking index it helps create a more mathematical approach. For example, you can apply these values to the number of characters within the body of text.
