Planning for the Future

yearplan,whichwascreatedafterareserve

Before work on the current Campus Plan projects, a SFPC was created to pinpoint what member facilities and amenities were needed They did this by facilitating a membership wide survey on potential member amenities and creating focus groups. From there, capital needs were identified, a budget proposal was created, and a plan was put in place A new SFPC has been assembled to help identify the next step of our planning process Currently, they are in the process of facilitating a new membership survey, which will be created and distributed by the McMahon Group for benchmarking. Year Plan 10 Year Capital Spending $50+

Members were asked to rank and rate potential new facilities and amenities, which allowed the SFPC to identify top needs.

4. Once the renderings were complete, the Club hosted a series of Charettes. Charrettes were mini “open house” style events where members could view the renderings of each new project, hear a brief presentation from the steering committee, and ask questions or provide feedback. An accompanying Campus Plan Guide was provided to each member during the Charettes, which contained project information. The Club compiled a list of member feedback and distributed it to the Steering Committees and architects for review. We were able to make changes to some plans due to the suggestions of our members, including adding restrooms to the toddler pool facility. Overall, members left the Charettes excited and ready for construction to begin. The membership was supportive of financing this project due to high member engagement and support.

Member support of our recent Campus Plan projects (Golf House, Oak Bar, pool renovations, casual dining, Family Center) was extremely high and that was in large part because the membership was involved in every step of the planning process.

The committees worked with the Finance Committee on budgeting and financials for these potential projects.

Steering Committees & Charrettes

1.2.

3. Once the Board approved, steering committees for each project were assembled. These steering committees were tasked with defining the member experience as well as the look and feel of each space. Each committee worked closely with the architects during the entire process and helped develop renderings.
