WELCOME Welcome to the Michigan Undergraduate Consulting Conference! We are excited to host you at our second annual event. In 2015, Nexecon Consulting Group saw a need for an experience to introduce students to the consulting industry and inspire them to pursue a career in this rapidly growing field. With MUCC, we hope to go beyond the classroom, beyond corporate information sessions, and beyond the recruiting process to show you what it really means to be a consultant. Today, you will have the chance to take a deep dive into this unique and dynamic field. This year’s theme, Disruption: Strategy to Change the Status Quo, speaks to our values and the values of our esteemed corporate sponsors. Disruption is more than just going against the grain; it is innovating the market. It is experimentation. It is creating space - for new ideas, diverse individuals, and great change. Anyone can be a disruptor, from the student in his college dorm room to the CEO in her top floor office. You are disruptive every time you question what’s in front of you and seek a better way. We challenge you to take today as a growth experience. Pick the brain of the professional in the room, or the student sitting next to you. This is what consulting is all about - an ongoing learning experience. We hope you’ll leave today with new insights, new knowledge, and new understanding of the consulting industry, whether this is your first introduction or your hundredth interaction with the field. Thank you, and enjoy the conference! - Chelsea Racelis, MUCC President
