THE LA TIN FUND 2022–23 Your Guide to Giving Back to Charlotte Latin School
You make that excellence possible.
FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
We see excellence in the classroom: not just in our students, but in the faculty who teach so expertly and thoughtfully. We see excellence in our athletes – when they win, certainly, but also when they demonstrate sportsmanship and perseverance in the face of loss. We see – and hear – excellence on our stages and in the hallways as the impressive creativity of our students is displayed.
Chuck Baldecchi Head of School
I invite you to support Latin’s commitment to excellence with a gift to the 2022–23 Latin Fund. Not only will your gift make a meaningful financial impact, but your participation demonstrates your support for the excellent work that happens at Charlotte Latin each day.
Together, we soar.
Excellence comes in many shapes and forms, and with a commitment to excellence being one of Latin’s Core Values, we are fortunate to witness excellence at Latin each and every day.
Your annual gift to the Latin Fund is essential to Latin’s success. Every year, the Latin community comes together to give to the Latin Fund, and we thoughtfully use those gifts to support programs, resources, and opportunities that create the exceptional Latin experiences that set us apart from our peers.
• A rotating set, constructed by Upper School theater students, not only provided a safe, outdoor stage for the Fall 2021 production of Romeo and Juliet, but also gave students a creative hands-on experience in set construction.
GIVING MATTERS
Latin’s Annual Budget
• An annual Gratitude Bonus, made possible by the Latin Fund, rewards and thanks our excellent faculty and staff.
FUNDING A CHARLOTTE LATIN EXPERIENCE
The Latin Fund aims to raise $2.2 million in the 2022–23 school year.
Supporting Excellence
• Using newly purchased podcast equipment, third grade students interviewed international Latin employees as part of a social studies unit on Immigration.
• A new storage space for Fab Lab materials ensures that our Fab Lab, one of the only ones at a K–12 school, gives students access to cuttingedge technology.
Charlotte Latin relies on philanthropy to support our budget. Tuition covers 82.4% of the cost of a Latin education. Every year, the Latin Fund rounds out our operating budget, and those dollars make a direct and meaningful impact on our students, faculty, and staff.
