SOULARD MULTIDISCIPLINARY LIBRARY
WORK SAMPLE NO.1
The library is surrounded with a unique urban context, which served an initial driver for design. Extruded ‘fingers’ in the design point towards these sights of interest as a way to engage the user with the diversity of the surrounding area. The St. Louis Downtown

The four outer cores are designed sufficiently strong to resist all lateral loads on the building, thereby allowing the center core tube to be simply framed for gravity loads.

DONGDAEMUN CANOPY
WORK SAMPLE NO.2 No.2 is an urban canopy project who creates a large scale urban public space in an old urban early in Seoul, South Korea. The site is located west of the Dongdaemun(the east gate) historic heritage site, where is large commercial district for small business owners and local market. The site is lively and dynamic with different kinds of small businesses like toy market, hardware shop and grocery store.

DONGDAEMUN CANOPY
WORK SAMPLE NO.2 The canopies are built by standalone fabric concrete shells covered units. Each of the pieces are reacting differently to different weather condition. The concrete shell is a double curvature triangular shape surface which open on one side and closed on the other two sides and most of the openings are located at south and east part and serving as wind tunnel and sunlight path. The winter cold wind is coming from north-west direction and summer warm breeze is from south-east direction, so the closed edge of my concrete shell will block most of the direct cold wind during winter and allow the warm air cycle during summer.

WE USE A SILICON MOLD-MAKING RUBBER TO CAST A MOLD NEGATIVE OF EACH NODE.
THE RUBBER IS FLEXIBLE, YET STRONG, WHICH EASES THE REMOVAL OF THE MOLD.
THE CAP USES THE ALIGNMENT KEYS TO ENSURE ITS RECEPTOR IS IN THE CORRECT POSITION.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE LABORATORY
WORK SAMPLE NO.4
No.4 is an artificial intelligence laboratory project. In this design, the inter-connected interior section is the most important design element.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE LABORATORY
WORK SAMPLE NO.4
Artificial intelligence is booming. New technology provides different perspective, different information as well as different contexts in many fields. This project explores potential interaction between AI and architectural context, possibilities that AI and data may create new dimension to our architectural design.
