“I enjoy experimenting and I am attracted to the extreme. I am interested in ancient themes e.g. sex(uality), death, love and in modern themes: how to use color, paint on sculpture, design, combining two kinds of materials on the same artwork. In my works, the human body is reduced to geometric forms and reorganized as geometric structures. I use a lot of materials: wood, bronze, aluminum, stainless steel, acrystal, in their natural and painted versions. I create sculptures because it is the viewer who really matters to me. My goal is to catch his/her attention and to inspire thought.”

“Happy Lonely Place is an ongoing series of paintings where the main subjects are creatures representational of me, but they are also genderless; kind of a universal alienation. They are self-portraits of me in a particular mental state that is in a lonely-self-doubt-body issueand-folds-of-fat type of place. It touches on the contemporary female subject, and it has nothing to do with the physical world but only a mental state. They are not sexy; they are awkward. They have fat rolls, and there is no attempt to make them glamorous. A Happy Lonely Place is the feeling of loneliness that becomes like home.”

“There is no silence. Music and the visual arts - this is a story of touch, of productive tension, of intermediality, of mutual influence, of border crossings, of free changes from one discipline to the other. Good art is always a polyphonic coexistence. How about the “KLANG.Bildern/SOUND.Pictures” by Yvonne M. Klug? Can you hear these pictures? Is the music, is the synesthesia in them structured? In any case, her works are evidence of how the boundaries of music and the fine arts have increasingly dissolved in the course of the 20th century until today: in this sense, the artist is a successor of musical visual art by Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Fluxus or Jackson Pollock.” - M.Peschke, 2018

“The inner tension of the heart is carved into the two-dimensionality of the painting: the essence of the friction of the soul with the world and oneself. Lately, I am partially abandoning figurative work and beginning to experiment with bas-reliefs and digital media.”

“Fundamentally, my art has been evolving as a meeting ground between three-dimensionality and the more minimalistic flat art style, achieved through layering images by flattening and extruding dimensions. Narratives unfold within this new landscape with the thematic focus being on the interplay between people and the social and private environments in which they interact.”

“My spatial works and installations comment on the dual nature of humankind. The apparent natural order is disrupted by the organic, raw shapes of stuffed animals-showing horns and bones. The natural upsets the culturally constructed order. The contrast between smooth and raw, order and chaos, culture and nature is inherent to humankind. We all carry a ‘dark side’’ within ourselves. My sculptures represent this tension between co-existing inner forces that clash and complement each other at the same time.”

“My classic studies in several art academies and in a variety of artistic discipline have trained me to acquire a multidisciplinary vision. Through my Rabid Animals series, I explore the relationship between human beings and animals. A universe of reality and also of surrealism. The drawings on the walls, the floor, and the body show an unfinished project. My photographs are a perpetual change in the time and future of the human.“

“I create holistically, incorporating body soul and spirit, expressing nature, marveling at science, delighting in the human body, expressing love and joy and trusting my instincts. Most importantly: if my art can move a person to pause, think, smile, ponder, question, cry, laugh, bring hope and encourage, and maybe see a glimpse of God’s nature, then I have served my purpose in life.”

“I look forward to using new media that provide the observer with as many truths as possible, unlike monolithic approaches of a specific visual configuration. My work reflects my pursuit for the possible and probable resignifications of meanings that art as a metaphor can present. Not being itself the meaning, but yet the testimony of infinite possibilities of structuring what can’t be seen.”

“In fact, the picture is the story. The viewer draws his conclusions from those gestures, facial expressions, the timbre of the voice that comes to him. The critic and the sympathizers come close to understand what the artist mumbles to himself. And then, there are already options..”
