“I am painting everything that surrounds me; I call it: ‘Rescuing the Urban Landscape.’ Every urban landscape has its everyday character, people, and customs. I discover these places and corners, then return to paint in the open air. The locals passing by create the ambiance, and when they approach me, a dialogue is born. Each finished painting carries a story within its shapes and colors, along with the energy the people give me to continue on this path of art.”

“As a self- taught artist, I prefer oil paint on canvas and for the most part triple zero brushes for working on fine detail. Paintings are meticulously rendered from multiple layers of thinly applied paint, and small strokes pick up the preferred natural light. Wild landscape and highly detailed scenes are my subjects of choice and I strive to include the viewer in my visual journey and interpretations of the natural world and human nature.”

“Becoming a collage artist was never a conscious decision on my part, it was simply a natural extension of my photography. New pieces call to me more than I called to them. Looking back it makes more sense to say the art of collage found me in one way or another. I create collage art to retreat from the frustrations of life, to have a creative outlet and to gain a new view of the world. The juxtaposition of different people and places makes us see the world in a way that we have not seen it before. It is this unity of a collage that is perhaps the most inspirational part; in a world clearly divided by race, class and greed, a collage is a place where we all can equally exist.”

Sculptures are made to be touched. Visitors should take them in their hand and invent their own story. Every sculpture, every tableau, video or book, offer different possibilities of interpretation. In dozens of exhibitions, I have seen how the works attract the attention of young and old and motivate them to create their own art. Monsters can be masks to deceive others from knowing true parts of yourself. They can also be liberating once you know how to manage them, be vulnerable, and be open to exposing them to the world. Detail V - It Is What You See Oil in canvas 70 x 70 cm
“Art should always touch, it is not just an inventory, but a look behind the scenes, a look into the soul - she is a reflex of her time. Painting is for me an expression of my impressions, reflections, and questions! I pass on my feelings to the viewer without influence, leaving them free space for associations. Also, I am fascinated by technical products (motors). The surface, the material, the transience is noticeably visible.”

My attention turns to the pleasures that come from impressions, sensations, perception, body and intellect. It helps us to relax and to forget about our problems or failures, but to remember those people or things which are really important for us. For some years I’ve been experimenting with various styles and techniques, trying to create something unusual on canvas. This painting is inspired by the song “Утро туманное” (text - I.
