Located on 126 beautiful acres in Aurora, Ontario, St. Andrew’s College has a 123-year tradition as a premier boarding school. Music is everywhere at St. Andrew’s. The arts are featured heavily in the school’s strategic plan. Students and staff of all art departments have benefited from many recent investments, including multi-million-dollar, stateof-the-art music, drama, and fine arts facilities. Students participate in traditional concert bands, jazz bands, rock bands, pep bands, guitar clubs, and choirs and can explore deejaying and digital recording with high-tech equipment. The Pipes & Drums are a highlight of the SAC music program. In November, they performed at the Royal Winter Agricultural Winter Fair alongside Blue Rodeo and Sasha. They have also been invited to perform at The World Finals in Edinburgh this summer. The Wind Ensemble has travelled around the globe, performing at the London Olympics in 2012 and last spring performing at Carnegie Hall during the WorldStrides Festival. The yearly fall play incorporates production teams and equipment from the Stratford Festival and is led by award-winning individuals with experience in London’s West End. All groups look forward to the annual holiday performance at Roy Thomson Hall, which regularly sells out and features all students, plus stage and lighting production designed by some of the best technicians in Canada.
