Peace One Day 2012 - One Day One Word, By Kristina Moshuus This year’s peace one day was in true CISV spirit marked again all over the world with the theme «One day, one word». CISVers all around the world got together to mark and create awareness about the International day of peace. I know my experience from peace one day was great. I woke up on the 21st of September like it was Christmas morning. On my way to university I was so sure that everyone was smiling because they knew what important day it actually was. In reality everyone was smiling because once in a life time it was actually not raining in Bergen (Norway). The sun was shining and people were more occupied with celebrating the sun. However, meeting other CISVers later made my day even better. Everyone was so excited to go out and tell the people of Bergen that “today, everyone! Today is Peace One Day!” We had 11 year olds that had just been to villages running around the city sharing the message about peace, letting people know that today people around the world are marking peace either with ceasefire, concerts, stands or running around the city with a video camera asking people what peace means to them. What word do you think of when you think of peace?

CISV One day one word on Facebook got a lot of contributions. People from the street and CISVers sharing with the word they think of when they think of peace. The diversity of creativity has been amazing. Everything from making bracelets to just letting people know that “hey, it’s international day of peace”. Peace One Day is a global movement. You might not notice the importance and greatness of the day in your town or city, but when you look at all the people celebrating it around the world you realize what a great global movement you’re taking part in. The whole world united for peace. It’s pretty great isn’t it? What word you think of when you think of peace? I think of CISV.

I went to the airport and forgot my luggage. Yep. Had to come back BUT I didn't miss my flight. Note to myself: leave to the airport with enough time.

(and George!) I have been using 'teal' as the color I write in GDocs to make my comments since 2009 (evidence was found by Cande very recently...)

I am one of the stupidest when it comes to mathematics, and my highest grade ever was a 9 over 20, which is considered a fail...

When I was a LJR a couple of years ago I volunteered to kitchen staff at a national training. I ended up food poisoning half the group of 80 participants. Now I'm never allowed in the kitchen at national weekends
