Le Pain Quotidien
This popular Belgian bakery and restaurant chain has established itself as one of the finest in the city featuring a variety of grain breads, croissants, sandwiches and salads. The coffee is good too.

Tardemah
The Koreans are crazy about their bread too. This popular bakery from Korea serves sweet and savoury baked breads including special Korean cuisine bread plus a variety of cheese buns, cream buns and croissant muffins.

Another local bakery that’s really going places. L Y Bakeries which opened its own bakery factory recently specialises in non-additive artisanal breads. Its signature items include vanilla and matcha ice-bread, bagels and croissants.

Big Grains

This venerable Hong Kong–style bakery made its name from its popular butterfly and almond crisps, Chinese wife cakes, muffins and cookies – all at affordable prices. It’s worth a trek out to the New Territories.
